New American Restaurants in Lake Charles, LA

“It is a very comfortable atmosphere. It is a high end steakhouse. It is a little pricey, but beef is expensive. They offer exceptional quality steaks, several to choose from to include Japanese A5 Wagyu beef. Maybe one day I will try it. Very expensive cut of meat. I have never been disappointed with my food. I have had the filet,and the 20 ounce bone in, and a couple others. Always cooked to perfection. I always have had extraordinary service when dining there. It is a nice rsstaraunt, probably should dress a little better, but it is in a casino and I like to be comfortable. Shorts and t-shirt usually. They are always welcoming!“

“I ate at Calla Wednesday night and I have to say it was probably one of the best meals I've ever had at any restaurant in Lake Charles. I got one of the power bowls and I highly recommend it!“

“love love love their crawfish! they’re always our go to, but after today meeting the man that was working the drive thru (he may have been the owner, no idea, it’s usually young ladies working drive thru) he was VERY personable and paid extra attention to our daughter in the back seat, i’ll never even think about trying somebody else’s crawfish again (we strayed one time just to see and i was so disappointed 😩🤫) thank yall for offering great size and good prices year after year (we don’t shop for crawfish at all UNTIL they open, we are that serious 😅😂) okay i’m done ty again“

“It is always so unbearably cold in there. We bring sweaters etc, but last night I shivered through my meal being unable to enjoy it. And the waiter was rushing us through the meal. Arrived at 515p out by 540p. The food is always delicious but the atmosphere killed it. Very fast loud music, difficult to hold a conversation at the table.“

“We played music Bingo here last night. It was so much fun. Our servers were great. The loaded nachos was the best I've ever had, no joke. I can't wait for more music Bingo! It was loud in there, but that's what we came for. Sorry, but I did not like the dirty martini. Something was missing. But I didnt want to waste it.“

“Dropped in for the Cajun jam on saturday and grabbed a few snacks and drinks. The band was good and we had fun dancing. It was a relaxed and typical SE Louisiana friendly kinda place. I was surprised by the food. We had a spinach dip and some queso. I was expecting typical mediocre prepackaged stuff. I was surprised. These both appeared to be made from scratch and the large portions were serve with crisp housemade tortilla chips. Good music, good drinks, good dancing and good food. Lake Charles is bringing it.“
