“Yall really sleeping on mama Retas if you ain’t had it yet! It’s like getting Sunday dinner at mom or Mawmaws house but any day of the week. Everything’s delicious, hot, fresh, and ready fast. And fairly priced! I would’ve taken a picture but I couldn’t wait it was too good.“

“This is my go to for my “soul food” “down home””southern cooking” location whenever I go to Lake Charles! The variety of options each day on the menu always makes my heart jump for joy!!! Definitely recommended as a must try restaurant!! The only downside is that they are closed on Mondays since they are an event center on weekends and need a day to get the place back in order for their beloved customers who are loved and treated like family. (Did I mention how much I LOVE this place already? 😁) The staff makes you feel like you’re at home with family!!! Just go try it out, I’m sure you’ll be happy you did!!“

“If you’re craving some real Cajun flavor, this spot is where it’s at! The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, I am always immediately greeted with smiles and hellos from the sweetest employees! These girls are the definition of southern charm! The food is amazing, I have never had anything I did not LOVE. You have to try the crawfish bread which is my personal favorite. Portions are amazing and this is definitely a must-try if you want some down-home Cajun goodness or a home cooked meal without the hassle!“
