**** another chance another terrible service... we ordered nachos and a marg... marg was horrible.... service terrible this time..*****. Service should have been excellent since there were only maybe 2-3 tables on a Sunday afternoon. We asked for lemons twice for our water and we eventually got up to get them ourselves. Then we wanted to order a second round of margaritas... it took a while and we just ordered through what looked like a manager. I wanted extra jalapeños and didn't get them until after the meal. With an empty restaurant, I would expect it not to take as long as it did.

We have visited this location 5 times now hoping to have an improved experience but this restaurant continues to disappoint. It seems to be getting worse and they have no incentive to improve as unsuspecting casino visitors are lured into their nice looking restaurant.

Every single time we have visited, the food and drinks take forever to come out. On one occasion there were only two tables full and it still surprisingly happened. It's normally not a problem but when they forget something, it takes another 30min+ to fix their issue.

The margaritas are inconsistent as well and the last one tasted like straight lemonade syrup with no hints of other ingredients. We sent it back and swapped for two beers as we know they couldn't ruin those. Once or twice we did get a decent margarita but you probably have better odds betting your life savings on roulette than getting an enjoyable drink.

We ordered nachos this time around and asked for salsa during our order. The sad excuse for nachos were delivered without salsa so we asked again. We waited and ended up eating our salty unappetizing food with no salsa as it was getting cold. The staff messing up orders is the only thing they have been consistent with on all our visits.

It's almost comical how bad this place is and you can see the other reviews mostly agree. I don't know why we put up with this much punishment but we can finally say its over.

If you are into mediocre food, margaritas and service, this is your place to go.

What a waste of money. I ordered the beef fajita enchiladas which was $23 for 2 like taquito size enchiladas. The charro beans were not really charro but ranch style beans. The rice had no flavor. The sprinkle of chili and cheese they put on the enchilada tasted like it came out of a can. I took one bite of everything and left the whole plate. I wouldn't even feed that to my dog. I do not recommend this place for food or drinks.

Walked from L'auberge to get here and it definitely was NOT worth the trouble. Waited about 20 minutes for a table. The server was awesome, provided some misinformation but quickly righted that wrong so no complaints there. Got the fajita beef enchiladas with chili sauce and charro beans; honestly the food was horrible chili sauce had no flavor and the beans didn't even taste like charro more like ranch style maybe.....and since it is a bar as well i definitely figured the drink I ordered would be phenomenal, missed on that end as well. My entire party was very disappointed and pissed and the money, energy and time that we wasted.

The food I ordered was delicious and unique in flavor. My server ‘Rebecca’ was very knowledgeable about everything i inquired about, had a friendly attitude and provided excellent service. Highly recommended her. I am sure we will meet her again. Big thumbs up!

This place is a joke , food disgusting service slow and rude , waiter got an attitude with me as I was telling him about the under and over cooked food walks off as I’m telling him I told him wow you’re rude he keeps walking I scratched out the tip and said no tip and they charged me ten extra bucks the next day so I will be talking to management once again if nothing is done I will Contact authorities and press charges for stealing.

I ordered shrimp quesadillas, there were 6 flat small triangles for $26. One shrimp in each! Family member had beef taco salad, had a few beef sprinkles on top. We couldn’t believe our eyes! Took about 30 min for our waiter to come take our order. The rice was hard. We don’t like to complain because we never know what they will do to our food when they take it back. Our bill was over $300. Needless to say we were very disappointed.

This is why you should read reviews before visiting. We did not and paid for it.

In a half-empty restaurant, we waited 20 minutes for our frozen margaritas.

We waited 50 minutes for our entree, which was wrong. We didn't send it back, as we didn't have another 50 minutes to wait, and it made our stomachs sour for the rest of the day.

Note to self, again: always read reviews first!

Do not come here if you don’t want to wait for 30 mins when they are not busy and never get greeted. This is really unacceptable while we were leaving about 10 servers standing at the bar staring as we left!!!

The worst service we have ever had....only two waitresses actually working. The girl at front was too busy flirting with wait staff to do much....multiple other employees standing around ignoring people....even a woman who waved because she wanted something....

Hostess sat everyone else where they had a nice view and set my party of two in a corner. When asked to move we were told no. However, she continued to seat others (non black customers) in the other areas. We were not greeted or even spoked to. Would not recommend. Very poor customer service.

This is our only must-have every time we're at The Golden Nugget Lake Charles. I've yet to have a less-than-great meal. You may have to wait a bit if you don't get there early, but it's worth it! Thank you, Cadillac for hosting all 28 of us last week for our annual golf trip from Houston. We'll be back again and again!

So I have sat down here on a wonderful last night to cap off a great bachelor trip and I found a long hair in my meal and then asked the server to comp our meals and we will pay the drinks. She said no that she would only comp the meal that had the hair in it and was very disrespectful one star rating. I will never be back.

My goodness, where do I start?? We've been eating here for years and today was horrible! So we ordered our food and drinks at the same time realizing they were under staffed. My drink was supposed to be made with mezcal and it hardly tasted of liquor, let alone mezcal. Waitress told us that bartender said it wasn't made with mezcal but the menu says otherwise. It took forever to get either drinks made and brought to the table because the bartender was waiting tables too! Then when we finally got our food, one order was messed up and the other never came despite the waitresses attempts to correct the issue. We called the manager over to explain and he left and never came back. Finally, another manager came with the food and it was all wrong as well. So two people in our party never ate after 2 hrs! Then they brought us the bill comping 2 meals and offering dessert that we did not want and never came back to take payment for about 15 minutes. We wasted way too much time and energy here today on our last day.

Waitress was great but the level of service from the upper management was the worst . We were a party of 6 and 2 people never received their food until an hour later, only after i had to speak with 2 different managers . One manager left and never came back . I did appreciate the other manager assisting with getting the reminder food out ., Which by the way was still incorrect ., i had to ask for compensation of the 2 meals . they have definitely lost some customers
