It's been years since I had been able to go into Casa. I recently moved back to Lake Charles and Casa was always a favorite when I lived here previously. I was disheartened to see that some of the quality I use to expect wasn't there. The food wasn't seasoned well and sadly, was bland. It's still a fun place but the prices compared to the quality weren't matching. I hope it was a one time oopsie.
The food was subpar for the price. This is the first time I've been disappointed here maybe it's because I ordered the taco salad idk. But it wasn't good, it was small and I think that anywhere that serves a salad even if it is a taco salad... it should be in a bowl of some kind! But anywho... the drinks were good and our waitress... Lauren I believe it was, was the best part of the whole experience@
Edit: I wanted to add that Sebastian is a great waiter. He is very personable and attentive.
This place is great. The service is always prompt and attentive. I often get the baja fish tacos and they're excellent. My fiancé loves their chicken (regular or firecracker) quesadillas. Their queso is pretty good and their salsa is decent. Our waiter was quick to refill our chips, so we never ran out. Their margaritas are tasty and fairly strong.
