It takes someone with culinary experience to truly appreciate what I experienced here. Absolutely amazing. The biscuit was so buttery soft with an absolute perfect texture. The egg, cooked exactly how I asked for it. The bacon was so perfect both types of people, flimsy and crispy lovers alike, would love and accept the way it was cooked as the new way to ask for bacon. The tender was cooked hot enough for a perfect crispy thin fried crust, and a juicy inside. The seasoning paired amazing with the rest of the dish and the hollandaise sauce. Even copying recipes, one cannot copy what I just had, without a higher than average culinary background, and a true passion for cooking. The coffee was no less wonderful. I am no expert on coffee, but it was great, and it does deserve recognition.

I like this place. The coffee is good. The beignets are good. The staff are all very sweet. But it’s very, very weird that you aren’t allowed to order at the counter if you’re getting something to go. That isn’t how any other coffee shop that I’ve been to works. The instinct is to walk up to the counter, but then you’re told you have to turn around and order at the door. You spend more time trying to figure out where to order than it takes to make the coffee. Please release the staff from the burden of having to do this. Please let me order at the counter. Or at least print out the specials to have with the menus up front so I don’t have to get someone to read them to me or, god forbid, walk further into the store to better read the specials on the tv screen. If I didn’t have to go to work, I would get my stuff for dine-in, I swear, but don’t punish me for having to be somewhere. Again, great coffee, great staff, great food. I have no issue with any of that. It’s just that the experience would be better if you were allowed to walk more than three feet past the door of the coffee shop.
