What a wonderful dining experience! We loved the food, the staff and the atmosphere. We had the Christmas tree beignets and they were to die for! We will be back.

So, I'm sure the rest of the food would have been excellent... We were visiting Lake Charles from Houston, my kids and I came for brunch around 12 noon. Immediately, we were told there was an hour wait. Because of the reviews, I wanted to try so I was willing to wait. When we sat down, we were told that it would be around another hour for food because the kitchen was backed up. We had already waited the hour so decided to stick it out. We placed our drink order and an order of beignets. We also placed our food order. My frappe came out pretty quick but it wasn't what I expected, it was kind of sour so I sent it back. They came and told me they were out of potatoes for my order so I had to choose something else. We watched and waited as other people got their drinks and beignets. Finally, the beignets came out to perfection, they were awesome. Still waiting on drinks...15 min later, kids drinks come out. We ordered more beignets for the wait. An hour later my food comes. Alligator with eggs Benedict was awesome! But....What mother wants to feed herself first and eat without her kids? I asked the waiter about the kids food. He tells me there are 4 orders ahead of them. How? Their order was placed before mine. He is looking confused. 10 min later, my son's chicken tenders come out. Still waiting on my daughter's french toast and eggs. I ask again how this happened that their food is coming out after mine. Still doesn't have an answer except that the kitchen has their own processes. 5 min later, he brings my daughter's eggs. I ask about the French Toast, he goes to check.... comes back 5 min later. Explaining that he forgot to put it in, it was his fault, he could bring something else. Everything we attempted to order would require getting back in the kitchen line that is an hour long wait. The only things that were quick, toast or bacon. The food was great! But their processes and service needs a lot of work

Review on coffee/to-go process.
Overall the coffee was good. Ordered a hot latte with sugar free vanilla. It was great! For two lattes it was $13 after tax. However, the to-go process was chaotic. We arrived at the main entrance and was directed to the back right to place a to-go order for coffee. This area is small and got cramped quickly with others waiting (some for food, some for coffee). When placing the to-go for coffee, tbe lady had to constantly walk back and forth between to-go and the coffee bar which are on opposite ends of the restaurant. The coffee took about 20 minutes to get. I feel this process could be improved by just sending coffee to-go orders directly to the coffee bar and food+drink to go to the area we were in. One lady was asking to cancel her coffee order because it was taking so long. Id love to go back, but really am hesitant until their coffee to-go process improves. This place is made more for sitting to eat/drink for awhile, not quick to-go.

I am a true shrimp and grits connoisseur and I give them a 20/10. The service, staff, and atmosphere was top tier. I will definitely be a frequent and look forward to trying more of the menu! The new restaurant is nice. I had a a nice time. They offered blankets and heating outside when it got cold and for someplace that was real packed it has some fast service. Our waiter Jordan was really helpful. -Myles (son)

Coffee:30 has such a great atmosphere—warm, welcoming, and the kind of place you want to sit and stay a while. The food was really good, fresh, and flavorful, and the coffee was just as good. Our party of 6 went for the Saturday brunch, soft opening. We had a reservation for 1130 . We requested patio seating and we enjoyed the live music and spacious patio. Our server Kate was amazing! We ordered a variety of drinks- mimosas, Bloody Mary, and espresso martinis. . All of the drinks were a hit! . Our group ordered a variety of dishes and each one was so good!!! . The portions were generous. and we all left with to go boxes. I’d highly recommend this place! The atmosphere, food, service and drinks won’t disappoint!
