I’ve called in many to-go orders over the years to many different establishments. No experience compares to Jordanne at Crying Eagle Brewery. I’ve never met a cult leader, but I assume the competent ones have half of Jordanne’s presence & charisma. She didn’t just take my order - she took my breath away.
Also, pizza good.
Great atmosphere and good food! Lots of open space and a huge parking lot. Highly recommend swinging by if you’re in the Lake Charles area!
I came here with a few friends one night, and I very much enjoyed it. The beer is great (I tried the strawberry chuck), the atmosphere is chill, the staff are very friendly and I must say, very good at their jobs. If you wanna have drinks with friends and food, check this place out.
Waited in line for 20 minutes to get a drink and still hadn’t made it to the bar. We left and went to another bar and had a great time.
Disappointed they only have one type of beer in the cooler for purchase to go.
Wonderful brunch
Enjoyed several samples of their craft brew.
Great way to start trip to Lake Charles.
The beer selection is always changing.
A lovely venue, friendly beer tender & really good beer (as in: the ones we tried meet style rules and are all delightfully drinkable). We stopped in for lunch & I had a LA spicy chicken sandwich & a cold spruce saison… definitely recommend!
Took the tour of the brewery and really enjoyed it! Our tour guide was a sweetheart and fun to chat with, and we got to taste test almost everything on tap before picking our complimentary flight. We stayed for dinner and each got a burger and the smash burger was easily one of the best burgers I've ever had.
IMO the difference between a fine burger and an excellent burger is whether or not the meat itself is well seasoned, and this patty was so flavorful I was happy to eat the bits that fell out of the bun with a fork!! Juicy and super flavorful 👌
People literally sit to the side at a table acting busy on a computer/phone while one guy man's the bar with a Super long line. Food and drinks are great. Such a great food experience. Unfortunately they are immune to customer wait times.
First time here. Nice crowd, tasty beers on tap. My only complaint is there is no bar. The only inside bar is to order drinks from, no sitting. A brewery needs a bar. To be fair I don't think Gnarly does.
A couple years later and the same. Reading/lounge area took over the old souvenir shop.

My first experience here was kind of disappointing. My friends and I drove all the way from Sulphur around 7 PM on a Friday night to experience the beers of this local brewery for the first time. I walked up to the bar, and said, “can I order a flight?“ The bartender responded, “not tonight. We’re too busy.“ I decided to order 1 pint of “the Chuck“ which was pretty good, but I paid for it and left after that. I thought the bartenders response was disappointing, and just looking around, they were not overwhelmingly busy. I’m sure the beers are good, but I will not be making any special effort to go back.
Great place, especially the kid friendly events but PLEASE install a changing table in restrooms. Other than that, it would be 5 stars...Edit: They listened!!!! There's a changing pad now! High five and a changed review!!
Beautiful place, great staff, the live music was awesome. Had the dark honey and the naked bluebird both of which were outstanding. Cant wait to come back
Ordered the 2 for 20 crying eagle pizza and poppers and boudan as an entree. All delicious, fresh, hot, wonderful great outside experience and sat in the lounge. Can't wait to come back. All the staff was pleasant and attentive. Loved the military discount, just a great bonus to our afternoon date out. Thanks crying eagle !
Admittedly, I’ve been here a few times and it’s never knocked my socks off until today. I’m not really a beer drinker anymore, but the food was fantastic. The smash burger - 10/10 no notes. I would argue that this is probably the best burger in town. The fries were a little mid compared to the godly flavor of the burger - could have been fresher/hotter/more seasoned. Brussels sprouts also 10/10. The sprouts are also probably the best in town - way better than the steakhouses. Even the cocktails were pretty good. I was even impressed by their cocktails. Looking forward to returning more often and trying more of the menu.
