My absolute favorite donut place in America. I live in Texas and every time we goto Louisiana, we have to stop by and get donuts. They are always fresh and amazing! We have gotten a few king cakes and they are amazing as well!

Best King Cake i have had in 2 years!! i bought 8. selections were amazing. Jambalaya KC was on fire for dinner! strawberry and Cream won the desert taste test. cant be a traditional though.

I no longer live in Lake Charles, but when I do, Delicious Donuts is on the "must-visit" list, up there with some of the most revered eaters in the city.A bag of donut holes and a couple kolatchies recharge the soul.

As much as it pains me to write this review since my family has been going to Delicious Donuts for my entire life and has been a Mardi Gras tradition every year in our family, one star is well deserved after my last interaction.
I called in an order for the Scrap King Cake a week and a half ahead of our Mardi Gras ball to reserve it and they took my order with no problems. I showed up at 11 AM (exactly as I said on the phone) and was told that they had sold the king cake that I reserved a week and a half prior. After telling me they sold it, they said that I could come back later that afternoon when they had made more. This wouldn’t work because we had to have food dropped off by a certain time for the ball (hence reserving the king cake ahead of time).
They then said they could give me a different cake and then proceeded to charge me for the wrong cake, and even showed me the ticket with my order on it with the missing cake.
Like I said, we have always loved Delicious Donuts but this was just all around bad bad business and customer service. There was no explanation as to why it happened and no apology. It just was what it was and that was that.
Won’t be returning for king cakes with this type of customer service.

This place is one of a kind. The various types of kolaches, donuts, cookies, and king cakes are the best ?. My Austin daughter is a very picky eater, and she loves the donuts holes! If you need donuts for church, work, or home, I highly recommend this place.

You should see the large king cake selection at this place. A lot of options. The bread pudding king cake is one of the best ones I've ever had.
