Grab -N- Geaux Smokehouse

I left a review 2 years ago and somehow looks like it was taken down .. Let’s start off by highlight how the customer service is horrible. As I was a frequent visitor because I lived across the street I can remember only being greeted by certain employees. I’ve been rushed and followed throughout the store by the young woman there with glasses. Not sure if she is still working there but I hope not, around the closing time the lights were turned off on me and another friend while shopping by that same woman. Her and another employee that speak the same language gave looks and had a conversations in their native language at the counter while checking out laughing in my face without even a greeting from the both of them. Despite that it’s a great store, well stocked and neat, you guys offer a lot but the discrimination there is out of hand.

wouldn’t even give this place a 1 star after today.. this was always OUR FAVORITE PLACE to stop on the way home (live over an hour away), after today i’ll never step foot back in there after the service I received today.. 3 workers plus a manager, only MY FAMILY in the store we had to wait for brisket to be cut after waiting a good 5 minutes with ALL 3 EMPLOYEES just staring at us like we were an inconvenience to them! then I accidentally spilled something on the floor, they did not even try to help or even tell me where the trash can was to throw the napkins away.. just rude if you ask me!

The Grab-N-Geaux located on 7080 Gulf Hwy, needs to do a much better job in screening customers purchasing alcohol. On numerous occasions, they sold alcohol to someone who is already intoxicated, violating Louisiana Statutes RS 26:90 and RS 26-286. This past Wednesday, April 12th at approx. 2:00 pm, I personally stopped a sell from happening, to a woman who could barely talk, and was obviously far exceeding the legal limit. I have been unable to make contact with someone in store management or franchise ownership, to come to a reasonable solution. The next time this happens, this store and it's employees will be reported to the state for criminal activity, followed by a civil suit, especially if the intoxicated person making the purchase of more alcohol, is involved in an accident.I am by no means trying to make a public stink from this review, but this is a forced and last resort to gain attention to this issue. Please correct this problem before someone gets killed.
