The food was delicious. I forget the name of the dish but it was crab, shrimp and a cheesy red sauce over thin pasta. We should have shared the meal. It was way too much for me.

Way over priced for cheap food thats burnt.. You can at least try to make it look good. 30 dollars for this junk they brought to my table.

Server was amazing and made the dinner. The pizza was crispy on the edges but soggy in the middle. If it would have been crispy all the way though it would have been on point. Thx

We have eaten here in the past and loved it. White staff ambience all very nice. Said they changed the bread. Options to strange selection preferred the breadsticks they used to serve. My chicken piccata part was delicious, but the pasta was very salty. My son got the ravioli dish to have just raviolis swimming in this big bowl of soup leaving him hungry. Just want this restaurant to do well nothing terrible but just could use some improvement.

Service was great and the food was delicious! Or your a peach lover you will want to try the peach Bellini it a frozen peach lover's dream. This was my second time here and I will be returning again. Hope you all enjoy this Italian dining experience at The Golden Nugget Lake Chalres.

Absolutely would not recommend coming here with any decent number in your group. Came in with a soon to be Bride and Groom and they did not get their food for over 2 hours!! Because of their seating arrangement, we were all split up at different tables and a few of the tables sat down after them and ate before them. When I went and talked to the host/manager he said “they were not expecting a big party so it backed up the kitchen”……it backed up your kitchen 2 hours where people that got here after them got their food before them and they still had to wait another hour??? That makes absolutely no sense!!! Extremely disappointed in the timeliness and response I received trying to take care of the bride and groom! Especially with the amount of money being spent here!!! Will not be coming back!!

Our waiter was very nice. Unfortunately I didn't catch his name. We had the PAGLIA E FIENO CON POLLO and WILD MUSHROOM pizza. Delicious

YOU DONT HAVE A DESSERT MENU. I have wasted so much time on line trying to find one. I can’t wait till you open at 5 to call and find out what you have because I need to leave my house at 4 to be there when you open so I can be back home without driving a hour on the highway at dark. Your menu is to limited. Your hours are to limited. I know a lot of restaurants blame COVID for limited menu and hours but that’s been over with for several years. Grotto in Houston is wonderful! Can’t you at least post desert on your tiny menu?

Busy night. Kale was a fantastic server. Very enjoyable. Bit noisy but everyone was having fun. We love the grotto.

Menu was very limited compared to the Houston and Galveston restaurants. Calamari was too chewy Pizza crust was not edible because crust was burnt to a crisp. It was late and not fond of returning food so we just ate the center. If we want Italian food we will probably just wait till we are back in Houston.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I was surprised that the menu was really small and there wasn't a lot of choices on it anymore. That was the only disappointing part.

Poor overall. Bread was hard as a rock. Could not cut into it with a knife. Server kept coming to table numerous times asking if we needed something. Kept interrupting us. Very annoying. The pasta was overcooked ie., crispy. I could not eat it. Mgr. Brought a small dish of pasta to the table that appeared to have some oil on it rather than a sauce. Only 3-4 tables had patrons on a Fri. Night. This restaurant has serious issues. Menu is poor. They have a bigger wine list than the food list. The restaurant needs to close if they cannot do better.

I would not recommend eating at Grotto at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles. The pepperoni pizza was disappointing to say the least. At $23 dollars and a $2.25 to-go fee that was charged to my card without telling me, you are looking at over $27 for a small thin crust pizza that doesn't even fill the box. The taste and texture is good, but the serving size and price is absurd.

I’ve had better Italian at the local cici’s pizza
