I fancy myself a gumbo connoisseur. I've spent the majority of my life in Southwest Louisiana and I've consumed vast quantities of gumbo over the numerous years. Guidry's Gumbo is simply some of the best gumbo I've ever had. The flavor and heat is spot on. The amount of meat per serving is well balanced. The blueberry lemonade is refreshing and a perfect companion to the gumbo. The service was quick and they are extremely friendly!I honestly believe this place will be on the list of tourist destinations in the next few years. I highly recommend taking the time to swing by.

We had Guidry's Gumbo cater one of our events, and is by far the best gumbo from any restaurant or grocery store. Put down the instant roux, leave your chicken and sausage in the freezer, and go get a couple bowls of this gumbo. It's taste of hometown cooking blows the self proclaimed restaurant gumbos out the water. 10/10 support your awesome local businesses.

Guidry's Gumbo is awesome! Their gumbo is actually homemade and due to people's different tastes and types of seasonings they are allowed to have or not have you may need to add salt, pepper or both to suit your taste once you get it home but I will promise you will not be disappointed with your gumbo and potato salad purchase.I was told they were about to add jambalaya to their menu as well. Cant to try it!

It's a great option if you don't have time to make a gumbo after a long day. Nothing beats home cooking, but the gumbo and potato salad are the best you are going to find in a restaurant. And the containers were perfect for transportation.

We ate gumbo, red beans and rice and we drank hibiscus tea. Everything was great. The individual who took our order had the most fantastic beard. We will definitely be coming to get more Guidry's Gumbo!

If you're looking for the best gumbo in Lake Charles, search no more. In addition, I got a bowl of red beans and sausage and there was sausage in every single bite, no lie. Down-home locals doin it the way we do. Get there before they run out, cuz it's first come, first serve each day. Heard the potato salad was one in a million, so I'ma get that on my next visit. Lastly, the t-shirts make a great stocking stuffer.... I loaded up today. Keep it up Guidry family!
