This place was pretty great the last time we went there a couple of years. Unfortunately, this restaurant is no longer there. TripAdvisor refuses to acknowledge that fact for some reason. The location had been renamed Food & Brews some months back apparently. Now, that is closed as well, as they are turning the area into a Sportsbook.

Waitress did the best she could…poorly staffed. Baked potato was over cooked. Catfish was good and a large portion. Ribs were not cooked on site (microwaved). Overpriced.

We had a good time watching the superbowl, eating & drinking a bit. Friends were sorry they did not the superbowl party they used to though.

The food was okay- overpriced because it’s in a resort/casino and lots of folks pay with comps- I don’t gamble though. Best deal was loaded nachos, about $13 I think. I’m writing this review because of the excellent manager, Aaron Myers. We were inadvertently charged a hefty price for a meal we didn’t eat- We discovered this at checkout, and Mr Myers couldn’t have been more professional, friendly, and helpful. He went right to work on the issue, and showed up at the distant front desk in a matter of minutes to have the charge refunded from our bill.

First time visitor. I was impressed. Nice open area, lots of TVs, great atmosphere. Excellent service...I wish I could remember our servers name. She was awesome. Would highly recommend.

Saturday 9/28/19. Was told there was a 45 kitchen wait, asked to sit at the bar to have drinks & wait. Was told no seats at the bar. Asked to sit at one of the many empty tables to have drinks while we wait. Was told no you will need to wait here. We told them to forget it. We left went to Golden Nugget & was promptly seated at the Cadillac Ranch with friendly, smiling faces. It was very clear the staff did not wait to serve us & was ready to go home. There was an hour until closing time & we were the only ones waiting to be seated.

Had a great time with friends. A little crowded on the weekends. But great atmosphere. Free soft beverages and friendly staff.

While trying to find a new place to eat brunch on a Sunday morning in Lake Charles, we found Jack Daniel's Bar & Grill inside L'Auberge casino. It had a great brunch menu along with their normal menu, many selections. Also, you could order a build it yourself bloody mary, which was fabulous. Many choices from bacon and shrimp to any vegetable that you could think of to add to a wonderful drink before you even start. The food was great and the service was wonderful. Give it a try the next time that you are looking for a great brunch.

Had a very good time at the resort. Golf was fun (although I am a high handicap). Very enjoyable weekend with my son.

We were in town and I THOUGHT we'd give JD a try for late lunch. I remember the food being good and the service being hit or miss but it was 1:30pm on a Sunday so I didn't think there would be a problem with crowds or seating. We arrived to a mostly empty restaurant and were told it was a 20 minute wait. Excuse me? Apparently the patio was full was what we were told, still not sure how one smaller area of your establishment being full cripples the rest of your operation. 30 minutes later I asked the hostess for an update and now I was told the kitchen was backed up and they were waiting for the chef to give them the ok to seat people. Excuse me again? At 45 minutes we left and passed two other families with the same story. We ate elsewhere which is a shame. This place has the name, a good vibe, and a great location but being grossly mis-managed over the years has hurt it's reputation. Scroll through the reviews posted and there's a pattern of bad service stretching back as far as you care to read. I'll consider this place closed until there's some major turnaround.

The Food was delicious and good portions. Was slow getting to us even though not to many people. The waitress was not on top of her game needs some improvement. Could of had a 5 ⭐

The first time we visited this restaurant, we were blown away by how wonderful their food and service were. Every visit after that has gone downhill. This visit we had been in the pool and decided to eat on the patio, ugghhh big mistake! I remembered after we sat there for 20 mins or so, that the previous visit when we dined on the patio we had terrible service. I don’t think they designate anyone strictly to the patio, so they go inside and get tables and forget there are people outside. They come and get your drink order, then take forever to bring them, then they take your food order and you again wait forever and goodness forbid if anything is wrong or you need something you might as well go inside to get help. They have a shrimp and chicken dip that is usually outstanding, this time, I don’t know what that was, but it wasn’t anything like it had been before. My husband ordered his burger medium and it came out mostly rare. This place isn’t cheap so you expect great food and service and if you are on the patio you get neither! It’s usually so loud inside it’s miserable. So we will pass on dining here anymore.

First of all service was very slow. Food took a long time, could not get refills and had to track down server just to get the bill. I had a palin hamburger and it was good, but my Wife ordered the fried catfish with potato wedges. The fish and potato wedges were so greasy it was not eatable. If you could have seen the grease in the plate it would have gagged you.
