Went here cause nothing else was open yet and I was craving a fajita plate. The staff was super nice and welcoming and there was no wait considering it was 3pm on a Wednesday. The food was alright the cheese on the nachos was amazing however I should’ve asked for more queso and pico. My fajita plate was a little disappointing because it was just a small steak on top of sizzling onions and a jalapeno. It wasn’t seasoned or anything like an actual fajita plate so it let me down but the Mexican rice was really good so it was able to cover the straight meaty flavor from the fajita. My mom got the crawfish enchilada and was blown away by it and 100% recommends it. To end it all off we had gotten the tres leches for desert and it was so dang good that we almost ate it all despite being full.
There is no service at this place at all. We waited over 40 minutes for a table for 2 and then finally got seated we ordered te fajito nachos which tasted great but they were out of tea so at the end of our meal we finally got some tea to drink. We left no tip because there was no service.
Without a doubt, the worst food ever! We usually dine here for several meals when we stay at Lauberge. We were one of the first customers when it opened at 7:00 a.m. Breakfast order was undercooked, limp, cold bacon, potatoes that tasted like left from the night before, bread was not toasted, the only thing good was the eggs and the coffee. The second person ordered a side of bacon and a side of whole wheat toast. Previous visits, the bacon was thick and excellent but the serving was very thin, burnt and cold. The toast was burnt and cold. Neither was eatable. The food was so bad we walked over to the Golden Nugget for breakfast the next morning and ate in the Sports Bar for the other meals. The service and coffee were excellent.
Based on the quality of the food ... do not eat here. Go someplace else. There are numerous restaurants in the area!
Since there are limited restaurants to eat at L'Auberge during the week especially breakfast . Johnny Sanchez is the best option , so my suggestion is morning 7:00 till lunch it would be nice if the music is turned down . We r not at night club & probably a bit tired from late night activities. The music played is also a poor choice. Not enjoyable , whoever does playlist be softer & not as much hype. I am a fan of music but I would like to be able to talk not shout to my friends while enjoying breakfast. PS I did find a hair in my over easy eggs, so hairnets a must !!
It’s been decades, literally, since we had such disheveled service. When we arrived there was no one at the host stand and after 5 minutes we decided there was a bad vibe so we left. No other good options so we doubled back but in hindsight should have stuck with our gut feeling. We ordered overpriced chips and salsa only to receive some crazy bad chips. Our server was wandering around but didn’t seem to have time to see why we weren’t eating our starter. In a 30% capacity restaurant we were told our fajitas would take 10-15 minutes but to not be surprised with 25. Not sure where the disconnect was but 40 minutes later the wrong order showed up. Part of our order was left while our order was expedited. We were then asked by the manager if we were waiting on ribs which she asked some other tables if they were waiting on them. We waited past an hour for our chicken fajitas to finally be delivered. Yes…they were pitifully bad. Not sure again what the intent was. The manager doubled back to check on us while the server/host offered me $10. Nice but odd gesture but this wasn’t his circus. This was an unbelievably bad experience. Enough that I wouldn’t even want to go back to this casino. You almost have to try to be this poor at this. All the folks were nice but really just seemed like they were ready for the day to be over. Horribly overpriced food with a horribly overwhelmed staff. Just felt bad for everyone involved.
We were highly disappointed with our food at Johnny Sanchez. We ordered the chicken quesidilla and steak burrito and drinks. The quesidilla was dry and lacked the high impact flavor we were expecting from a prominent restaurant such as this place claimed to be. The steak burrito was a mess. Who ever put the burrito together didn't spread the ingredients around which made all the beans was in one spot, all the rice in another spot and all the steak at the opposite end of everything else. The steak was like chewing rubber; and several bites of it had to be spit out because it couldn't be swallowed. Disappointment is an understatement.
The atmosphere was so amazing. Every one of the staff members were so sweet and personable. I had the pleasure of having Gabe as a waiter and he was so sweet and kind. This place is extremely lucky to have him!
The food was amazing however our server was terrible
On April 28, 2025 we stopped to gamble at bit and wanted to eat dinner. Tried this place and I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN. Service and food was horrible.

I was really looking forward to eating at this restaurant. I was highly disappointed. The food was mediocre at best. At first I ordered the steak tacos. The steak was tough. I sent it back and ordered the shrimp tacos instead. They were better but I wouldn’t say they were anything special. The tacos came two in one plate. They were tiny tiny. I had also ordered the seared tuna on tostados. They were extremely salty. I am a huge salt person and for me to think something is salty is a big deal.
Now, let’s move onto service. Our waitress was good. She had a wonderful personality. The thing that turned my husband and I off about her was that she had rotten teeth. It is quite unappealing and unappetizing. I don’t understand how management could allow a person with rotten teeth wait on tables. I’m not trying to be judgmental here. I’m just stating that the normal patron does not want to see a mouth of rotten teeth when they are anticipating eating. It’s just wrong especially for a high end restaurant as Johnny Sanchez.
So to summarize my review for this restaurant, I would say that for the price of the items that my husband and I ordered, they were definitely NOT worth the price. I would never eat at another Johnny Sanchez restaurant ever again. The food was definitely not worth the price that we paid. Our waitress having rotten teeth was a HUGE turn off.

During my recent visit to the restaurant just now, I experienced a situation that was quite unexpected and disappointing. Upon arrival, the restaurant was pretty empty, but the host at the front counter did not greet us. After standing at the counter for a few minutes without acknowledgment, the host finally said, "I'll be right with you," before walking away.
Shortly after, another employee approached, and we requested to be seated outside, as we had entered through that area and noticed it was open with pool access where our child had just finished swimming. However, we were informed that seating outside was unavailable. When we inquired why, the employee responded with an indifferent attitude, simply stating, "because it's closed," without further explanation or courtesy.
The unwelcoming energy and lack of hospitality we experienced left us feeling uncomfortable. As a result, we chose not to stay, dine at the establishment, and took our business elsewhere. I have visited this restaurant before and had positive experiences, but today's interaction was concerning enough for me to share this feedback.

Sadly this place is horrible. I have given it 4 tries and each time was a let down. The fajitas always are chewy and the seasoning is some west coast BS lime before grilled. They need to properly learn how to cut fajita meat, it’s always against the grain. All the plates I have tried have been complete let downs.
