Saltgrass Steak House

The steaks were really good on this trip. I think they must have upgraded their supplier or something because they were better than they have been in a while.

We ordered the Rib Eye 16 Oz, and the Wagon Boss Sirloin. I asked for mine (Sirloin) to be well done and when I received it. The entire plate had blood on it, and it was bloody in the middle. My husband asked for his to only be with a small amount of pink. His was not only very rare. (Rib eye) It was a horrible cut, that half of it was gristle and fat. When we mentioned it to the Assistant Manager. Her comment was that Rib eye's are supposed to be fatty. My husband tried the location in Texas and he said he did not have the same experience with the food being so bad. The restaurant was also not clean. There was dirty tables around. Including the table that we had been placed at. The steak sauce was left out from the previous guest at the edge of the table. It also had not been wiped. We were staying at the Casino/Hotel and were expecting a nice Anniversary dinner together as I am from another State. It was definitely not worth the 40 dollar steaks that we had. It was not the fault of the Server. I felt bad for him. As he had to serve guests where the Chef's cooking is not up to par.

The food was good. The only complaints I have are that the waitress refilled my drink with sweet instead of unsweet tea and The food came out cold. Everything was cooked properly but you could tell the steak had been sitting and the smoked macaroni was server in a cast iron skillet that was cold to the touch. That is unacceptable when you are paying the price you pay to eat there.

Saltgrass Golden Nugget is my favorite location. We always have perfect food and outstanding service! Sarah was our waitress last night and she was very nice. Making reservations online really helps. Thank you Saltgrass-GN :)

Our experience was Not as good as in the past. A Steak House that was out bake potatoes?????? One our meals was delivered 15 minute after the test our parties meals. Bad services and a disrespectful waiter. Never going back!

Saltgrass Lake Charles never disappoints. From the service to the food everything was top notch. Will definitely go again !

I do NOT recommend this Saltgrass location due to how poorly management treats customers. My issue wasn’t with the food—it was with Norma, a manager, who dismissed me rudely after they gave my DoorDash order to the wrong driver. I calmly asked to reorder, and she snapped “We’re closed”—even though the restaurant was still full and running. DoorDash refunded me. Saltgrass did nothing. If management can’t own their mistakes, they shouldn’t be managing.

Although they were a little short, we were there to have a good time with friends and family. It did take a little longer than normal to get food but again we were visiting and they kept our drinks full. Well, of course always visit again.

Food was great along with the service! We visited the Lake Charles location inside the Golden Nugget Casino. It was the same professional and courteous staff we're used to in Houston. As Landry Select Members we were seated promptly and truly enjoyed our dining experience!

We had the worst ever food at the restaurant, food was burnt and gave me the wrong order. All around was disaster, we would not eat at that restaurant again.😡🥵

Very noisy atmosphere. We were seated near a server order input station, and it was frenetic, noisy and traffic was high. Food phases were not timed very well, but the restaurant was very active due to a conference. Jaliel did a decent job, with the kitchen timing challenges.

Nick our waiter was friendly and very accommodating. The food and wine was great. Always enjoy going to Salt Grass !
