This place is fantastic, when we go to LC to visit family we ALWAYS come here. It’s an A plus, best boiled crabs in Louisiana and you know that’s saying something! Can’t wait to go back! Also great service and having the LSU game on is always great, even though I went to UT, lol. I have so many family members who went to LSU and Tulane as well as McNeese. Keep up the good work!
I ordered 6 fried blue crabs and a small seafood platter with fried okra. The fried crab was good (4/5). The fried seafood platter was good. The French fries were crispy. The fried fish was delicious. The only things I didn't like were the stuffed crab and fried oysters. The atmosphere and service here are phenomenal (5/5). Maggie was nice on the phone and at the cashier when I was checking out. My waiter, Alis, was super kind and friendly, taking care of me at the table....
As a local, this is what I expect from a seafood restaurant. The food is much like I would get from my mama after I brought home my spoils. It’s not touristy at all. Expect to spend a little money, but it’s seafood, you get what you pay for. My only criticism is that I wish the cokes were fountain, not bottle. But that’s something I can live with. If you’re not local and wanting some genuine food, this is place for you.
