This is my go to for my “soul food” “down home””southern cooking” location whenever I go to Lake Charles! The variety of options each day on the menu always makes my heart jump for joy!!! Definitely recommended as a must try restaurant!! The only downside is that they are closed on Mondays since they are an event center on weekends and need a day to get the place back in order for their beloved customers who are loved and treated like family. (Did I mention how much I LOVE this place already? 😁) The staff makes you feel like you’re at home with family!!! Just go try it out, I’m sure you’ll be happy you did!!

Food was delicious. A lil spicy. Went back the next day. Everything was tasty and clean place of business. Very nice employees and great food and service. Miss Shirley was very nice, and so were the whole crew.

This was one of my favorite meals in Lake Charles. Oxtail, greens, and red beans. I also tried the fried porkchop, also great.
