The restaurant is pretty with a good atmosphere! The food is delicious! I had huevos rancheros for brunch and the flavor was amazing! I would definitely recommend trying this place if you haven't!

What a great restaurant in Lake Charles area. The service was amazing and extremely friendly. We went for Saturday during their bunch menu and had a great time. From the mimosas to start and pair great with their trashcan nachos which were amazing and their guacamole was so fresh and the chili oil gave it a great flavor.The fish taco was also delicious and very fresh. I will be looking forward to coming back next time I'm in the lake Charles area.

This place is wondeful. From the atmosphere, the wondeful playlist, the delicious food and excellent customer service from our Server Mariah. She was so detailed and was well familiared with the menu. We will definitely come back.

Stepping into the James for a late lunch on a Thursday afternoon was an unexpected journey into culinary excellence. The ambiance greeted me with warmth, transforming a routine meal into a memorable escape.The real highlight, though, was Ryder, my server. With impeccable timing, insightful recommendations, and a knack for making guests feel genuinely cared for, Ryder elevated our dining experience to extraordinary heights!Highly recommended!

From the time I walked in until departing I felt as though I had been there many times before. Service was excellent. For what little we paid for our meals we were very satisfied and able to take to go's. The atmosphere was very pleasing inviting and we will return. Thank you ?

I brought my husband here to celebrate his birthday and they did not disappoint!We had the crab gratin and lamb lollipops for our appetizer! Delicious!For our main course, we split the ribeye and brussel sprouts, and shrimp remoulade! Everything else was cooked to perfection! The restaurant delivered to our table a tres leches that was perfection! Ashton was our server and she was on point! And thanks to Executive Chef Renda as well for her service!!

Food is great, especially for happy hour deals, and the cocktails I tried, I enjoyed.Though I am confused on how this is “modern latin” as described on their instagram and work shirts. Food is fantastic no matter what, but it is more modern fusion: asian, latin, and southern/american.
