The M Bar Sports Bar & Grill

I recently visited this establishment for the first time to attend a birthday party gathering. Upon arrival, I was impressed by the overall atmosphere—the vibe was lively, and the venue was well-maintained both inside and out. The cleanliness of the space was definitely a positive first impression. However, as the night went on, the service left much to be desired, which ultimately tainted my experience.

Despite there being numerous servers available to assist patrons, the overall coordination and execution were chaotic. The staff appeared confused and unorganized, struggling to manage orders in a timely and efficient manner. It was frustrating to witness the lack of professionalism, especially given the number of employees present. With so many hands on deck, one would expect a smoother service experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case.

Pricing was another major disappointment. I was shocked to see someone pay $32 for an order of wings, which seemed highly excessive for what was being offered. Additionally, I personally ordered two mixed drinks and was charged $40. The drinks themselves were average at best, but what concerned me more was the suspicion that prices were being inconsistently charged, particularly for customers who paid in cash. From my observation, it appeared that some servers may have been upcharging and potentially pocketing the extra money as tips. If this is indeed the case, it’s incredibly unprofessional and unfair to paying customers who expect transparency in pricing.

During my visit, I believe I had the opportunity to speak with the owner regarding my concerns. While I appreciated them taking the time to listen, that’s essentially all that happened—they listened, but no real resolution or acknowledgment of the issues was provided. It felt like my feedback was heard but not truly taken into consideration, which was disappointing.

As someone who genuinely enjoys supporting small businesses, I wanted to have a great experience and hoped to become a returning customer. However, given the poor service and questionable pricing practices, I don’t see myself coming back on a regular basis or recommending this establishment to others. There is potential here, but without significant improvements in service quality, organization, and pricing transparency, it’s hard to justify another visit.

The M Bar dazzles with delicious half-priced burgers on Tuesdays, but it's the exceptional customer service, especially from Roe, that truly shines. A must-visit for great food and friendly vibes!

We ended up in Lake Charles instead of New Orleans for Labor Day weekend due to the weather. Found this spot through Google & we are so glad we stopped! The vibe was everything Grown! It's not a big spot, but it was clean & the DJ was DJing! The lemon pepper wings & fries were the bomb, but the best part about it all was the bartender, Rose! If we could have brought her back to Houston, we would have. This spot & Lake Charles are lucky to have her!

This is the worst place and it’s black Owned, and she don’t keep her word! It’s sad that the service is not A-1!
the only service that was good was the young men at the door! I’ll never go back and support her business!

Everything was good except for the waitress. She needs some custom services experience. My wife asked if they had coke zero & the waitress reply no. And didn't say anything else about any other type of drink. Before we got ready to leave I asked for a carry out box & I waited a few minutes for her to come back but she started fixing drinks & never brought the carry out box.

Yes we were from out of town, but with money to spend. Found a sports bar with great music and happening atmosphere! But service was awful. My daughter waited long before me to get a shot and another drink, to only receive a receipt for the drinks she never got. Finished our drinks, told her to put her money up and lets go! Spent our money elsewhere. Tipped the bartender double our bill for taking care us

Nasty wings they are undercooked they take advantage if they don’t know you owner has been known to treat people shady and do shiesty stuff , overcharging people and not giving receipts , I tried twice food made me sick both

Really cool vibe with great wings. Keep going until you hear the Roger & Zapp music. Bar staff is super cool with lots of good chop up. Or just watch the game. Try the Island Jerk chicken wings.

Down in Lake Charles for work for the next few weeks and this is going to be my spot. IT’S A VIBE! Music and atmosphere is great. Food was good and drinks are great! I sat at the bar and Roe was my bartender and she was super nice and attentive to me. All the staff are super nice. I had work stuff to do, so the charging plugs were super convenient as well. Awesome can’t wait to come back!
