The Wine Store

The Wine store is one of my favorite little places around town. They have a fantastic selection, a bar, wine tastings, and a few select food items.
This was my first time going since it changed ownership. They have done a fantastic job. Fast and friendly service. Myself and a large group reserved the upstairs portion for a pokeno night. I ordered a glass of wine and a large charcuterie board. The Moscato was OK for a 5.00 glass of wine, but it was not a d'asti (Italian Moscato). They had one for wine tasting and I should have tasted it prior to ordering the glass I ordered. The upstairs area looks nice and was large enough for 25+ of us. The charcuterie board was phenomenal with the selection of cheese and meats, he said he was out of a few items so he was chargingus for a medium board. When we were done playing, I went and settled the bill and asked about the cheeses. We had two different types of gouda, a smoked cheddar, and a cranberry one. I asked if he would be adding any other food items to the menu and he said he planned to. Looking forward to returning!

While there was a decent wine selection, the music was indicative of a club scene. There was unruly drunk speaking racial slurs, loudly and there was an entire table of people who should have been cut off 2 bottles ago. The owner was the bar tender. And while knowledgeable, he did not have control of his bar. This is definitely not a wine bar to come and experience wine enjoy a relaxing evening.

I recently helped plan a surprise birthday party in the private room upstairs. The owner and staff were SO ACCOMMODATING and really helped make this event a success. I’d highly recommend this location and urge those looking for an affordable, clean, trendy venue to check out their private party room. You won’t be disappointed.

My favorite hidden gem

Was there for a friend’s baby shower and I fell in love with the atmosphere. Very beautiful & spacious.

What a Gem!! Kim & Tom, the owners, have made this place so good! Kim’s flair on her themed decor is ever changing & very unique.They do a lot of wine tastings & have a good selection of small bites & wonderful cheeses.The parking is very easy with plenty of parking in the front & back.

Great cozy atmosphere

Great selection of wine at a great price. The cheese board was excellent. The pizza looked great. Definitely a must for anyone who loves wine.

Went to this nice and cozy little wine bar located off of Nelson for a date night. We went with the “paint and sip” option that allowed us to decorate wine glasses of our choosing. We ordered the meatball and the flatbread pizza. Both were amazing! The facilitator was very knowledgeable and for the price we actually had very good resources to decorate and paint our glasses. There was also bottomless mimosas with three different flavors. ✨big bonus✨ for the wife. After the event we had the option to sit at the bar located downstairs which had countless options. Definitely recommend the experience. They for sure exceeded expectations. Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop on the way out.

Have 2 sons into Japanese cuisine and wine. Had hard time finding sake. Orderes from this place. Had no problems. Used them twice. Would recommend.
