While juggling the demands of setting up my rental property, I found myself too busy to prepare a meal—and craving a taste of **true home cooking**. This restaurant was the perfect solution, delivering a heartfelt meal that felt just like something made with love in a family kitchen.

From the moment I walked in, the owner’s hospitality made all the difference. She offered samples of her **incredible chicken salad**, and let me tell you—it was perfection. The flavors were fresh, balanced, and comforting, setting the stage for the unforgettable meal ahead.

Although my hunger kept me from snapping a picture, every bite was worth it! I enjoyed the **chicken fricassee** paired with classic **potato salad, green beans, and a dinner roll**.

If you ever find yourself in **Lake Charles or anywhere along the Gulf Coast**, I can’t recommend this spot enough. Whether you're busy like I was or just in need of a homestyle meal that truly delivers, this restaurant won’t disappoint.

Yum! We stopped in for lunch. The special of the day was baked chicken and cabbage rolls. We had cornbread, green beans, sweet potatoes, Mac n' cheese, and corn as sides. We also had the homemade root beer. For dessert, we had a brownie and pecan pie. It was all so delicious.

The owner was so sweet. She gave us a sample of her yummy homemade smothered cabbage and gave us some background on her recipes.

She had three tables in the dining room to eat at, but everybody else was coming in for takeout on their lunch break.

We enjoyed our meal so much, we bought a pint of chicken salad and a seafood fettuccine to go. We heated the fettuccine up that night in our hotel and the chicken salad for lunch the next day. It was all so good!

Was looking for a different place in town for an early Valintines Day lunch and found this place. The food was great and worth the stop.

I had food catered from T-Pot Noir for a company event. The food was absolutely amazing from the main dish down to the dessert! Every meal II’ve had the pleasure of eating from here, or enjoying their catering dishes were outstanding.
The rolls are the best I’ve had since my cafeteria school days!
Please try the chicken salad two types original and dill -I promise you won’t regret it!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😋
