I had read about Dezmenn in previous reviews. Those glowing reviews were accurate. Seating was prompt. Service was absolutely on point. Refills were always on time and done almost without us noticing. The entire staff deserves recognition. Desmenn was a breath of fresh air after a long weekend. He was very educated on menu selections and recommendations. Served us up family style as we requested. Cannot brag enough about the evening.
It was such an amazing experience we made a reservation and were seated right on time. We had our own booth and our waiter Grant was beyond helpful with it being our first time at the restaurant. His customer service was five stars and even topped us off with a birthday dessert that was amazing! We had NY strip and filet mignon with a side of mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese all cooked to perfection. Lastly for dessert we had a decadent crème brûlée that was beyond delicious!! Overall great experience!
My experience at Vic & Anthony’s Lake Charles was amazing. My server, Paul, was attentive and very knowledgeable about the dining options and food/beverage pairing. Also adding a special touch to the experience was the restaurant manager, Emmitt, who frequently checked on our table to ensure our dining experience was top tier. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The night was calm. The sky above us felt vast and quietly judgment-free. Stars glistened faintly, as if they knew something special was about to happen — and that something was Dezmenn. Dezmenn is not just a waiter. He is a wine scholar, a gentle guide through fermented history. As he spoke about the wine, time slowed. Glasses shimmered under the soft glow of the restaurant lights. Each recommendation felt intentional, thoughtful… almost poetic. Then — as if summoned by the universe itself — Dezmenn worked with the chef to bring us an old specialty dish, a relic from a more enlightened era of this kitchen. A meal not just prepared, but resurrected. Respect to the chef, truly. This is why we return. Not for sustenance, but for moments like this. When the night sky feels closer, the wine tastes deeper, and the people serving you clearly care. Dezmenn, you delivered excellence.
Oysters Rockefeller and lobster bisque for an appetizer. So good. Filet and lobster for an entree. Filet was buttery smooth and cooked to perfection. Lobster tail cooked perfectly. Creamed spinach is my go to side every trip and it will not disappoint. Excellent wine selection and we opened two bottles, plenty leftover to take back to our room. Cheesecake for desert with coffee. You can split it with your significant other because it’s a huge portion. The highlight of the meal was the over the top service we received from Harry. He went above and beyond to ensure our experience was 5 star. All this delivered by a great group of people who worked Thanksgiving to ensure we had a meal to remember. Every time the wife and I go to V&A it seams they up their game to another level. We’ll definitely be back. I wish I had taken pictures to share.
My husband and I went to Vic & Anthony’s last weekend for an unforgettable dinner. Everything was amazing! We always start with the crab cake. You will not find a better crab cake than the one they serve at Vic’s, and I would put my money on that. Next, we ordered the Oysters Rockefeller. The oysters were clean and a nice size, and the creamed spinach on top made for a perfect bite. We also ordered the 16 oz. ribeye. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was served on a hot plate of melted butter—so good! This cut of meat was exceptional, just as one would expect from such a fine dining experience. We decided on the cheesecake with all of the toppings for dessert. The cheesecake was delicious! We had planned to take it home, but it didn’t make it out of the restaurant. Now, I want to mention our waiter, Mike Spell. Mike knows every detail on the menu and makes the best recommendations. He is quick, professional, and fun. Mike elevates the whole dining experience to another level and makes you feel like family. I highly recommend asking for Mike the next time you visit Vic & Anthony’s. The food, ambiance, and service made for an unforgettable experience. We will be back soon!
The service was spectacular. Grant was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Our party had the sea bass, a wagu (American) strip and a wagu (American) Tomahawk Ribeye. The tomahawk ribeye was very good but not as good as the price tag suggests. I would likely skip the novelty next time. I assure you, none of that 40oz steak went to waste. The biscoff pie was my favorite dessert. We also had creme brulee and bread pudding which were fantastic but the flavor of that biscoff pie was out of this world. All in all a great experience for empty nesters on Thanksgiving. Thanks for being open and serving those of us who needed a great dining experience.
Vic and Anthony’s in Lake Charles is our go to restaurant for fine dining. We live here and we love the local Cajun cuisine but on special occasions we like to go to a very nice restaurant. We are fortunate to have a restaurant of this caliber in our relatively small city. We went last night and again we were impressed by the atmosphere, professionalism, and of course the food. Our waiter Cody was very knowledgeable and amicable he made our evening enjoyable and comfortable. The food as always was over the top. Steaks and sides were perfect and the desert was delicious. We go to Vic and Anthony’s four to five times a year for special occasions not enough to be considered regulars but you know what, they treat us like regulars as they do everybody that visits them. We’ll be back.
An amazing night! Food was delicious! We started with the tuna poke and oysters. Main course lamb chops, filet Mignon with potato au gratin and risotto. Drinks were good!
We had a wonderful dining experience at Vic and Anthony's. It was our second time to experience a special occasion there with Drew as our server both times. We were well pleased.

Thanks you Cale and Emmitt for making our 35th wedding anniversary a memorable evening! The food was outstanding and the calamari was delicious! Keep being the vibe, and blessings!
Very good and service was great! Thanks Cody, great job! Appetizer seafood tower was very good and my sea bass special Was fantastic! We were all very happy we went!
We had a great anniversary dinner. Folks acknowledged our anniv and we appreciated that pleasantry. We had a comfy booth. I love booths esp the leathery cushion sofa backs. Mike our server was very good, professional, and knowledgeable esp about how to warm the steaks. We were pleased the chef could make MEDIUM PLUS. The spinach was creamy good. Too Expensive glass of wine ouch but delicious of course. An enchanting evening thank you.
The wife and I did a 20 year anniversary get away and decided on Vic & Anthony's for a special dinner. Our waiter, Grant, took a special night and made it incredible. Based on his recommendations we changed our choice on sides and drinks and wow was he ever on the money. Thank you for helping us make memories we will cherish for the next 20 years and beyond.
