There is no Dim Sum restaurant in San Francisco that rivals Yank Sing. I have been visiting Yank Sing since their location on Broadway and quality of food and authenticity of experience remains to this day
Disappointing service. Had to ask for beverages 5 times. Selection of food was minimal compared to years ago when there was a huge variety. There are now other better dim sum restaurants. However the Shanghai dumplings are still the best.
I've enjoyed Yank Sing for 20 plus years. Their dim sum is subtle and elegant while being casually accessible. We've relocated to Portland and have found nothing to compare. We make our pilgrimage whenever we are in town. One standout is the potstickers. The dough manages to hold the flavorful filling and remain beautifully tender with a crispy bottom. A combination I not found elsewhere.
