We are staying in LaPlace and popped in for a bite and some drinks. It's definitely a place for locals. For some reason the diners and an old man at the bar were staring at us. I assure you that we're very normal, ordinary looking people.
The menu is a bit overwhelming, plus you have to take a picture off all the cards stuck to the hostess podium to look over the multitude of specials. Service was friendly and fast, and the prices were reasonable....

My husband had the crawfish and headless shrimp special and I had the fried shrimp plate with pier potatoes, potatoes au gratin and a crab cake. Everything was delicious. Spice was just right! Ginger was our waitress. She was very attentive and sweet to us. We will absolutely be back any time we are down this way!
