The 4 oz chicken fried steak with Cajun fries and macaroni and cheese is outstanding, and the fried chicken salad is really good. Despite some spiciness issues with dishes, the food is consistently tasty. The portions are large, prices are reasonable, and the staff is attentive, with waitresses like Alissa being especially wonderful. The ambiance is welcoming, making every visit enjoyable. It may be a bit tricky to locate, but the friendly service and good food make it worth the effort. The place is much bigger on the inside than it is on the outside and is a popular spot for the after-church crowd on Sunday, with great Sunday specials. While the menu could have more options, the food is excellent.
