What a nice surprise right near our house! Beautiful people, kind server and elegant environment to share tea and the most delicious scones with clotted crème and lemon curd.

As a fan of The English Tearoom, I left Dutchess extremely impressed. I say this as someone who really likes The English Tearoom: if you want gimmicky English decor in a quaint, old-construction converted house, the Tearoom can't be beat. However, everything about Dutchess is better. Better food, better service, and at a better price point. The massive shoes left by Crab Shack (I think that's what was here before) are filled easily by the folks at Dutchess tea room. However good you think it is, it's better than that. I am happy to see some stiff competition in the tea room space on the Northshore; the English Tearoom needs to get their act together, because Dutchess Tea Room is kind of eating their lunch!

My family and I went here for brunch today, and boy are we happy we did! Everyone had something different from the menu, and absolutely everything was outstanding. My choice was their turkey melt on ciabatta with garlic aioli. I will be craving this sandwich for weeks. The teas were delicious, as were the coffee and scones. The cafe is beautiful, relaxing and service was just amazing. Beautiful owners, food and cafe. ❤️We cannot wait to go back.

Everything about the restaurant is immaculate. The food, the service, and the atmosphere. It's my new favorite lunch spot.

I got the curried chicken salad croissant and a pot of moonlit grey tea, and it was amazing! My family was sharing food between each other so we could all get a taste, and everything was delicious.

The food was also very affordable and accessible considering its high quality. If you want to have a classier dining experience, but aren't able to spend a lot of money, this is a great place for you.

This was such a fabulous place and an excellent experience for our girl group. So much fun. Thank you for also being semi laid back and flexible on attire. Traditional tea attire makes me uncomfortable.

First, be prepared to pay an upfront deposit per person when you make reservations. The place is nicely decorated for being located in a strip mall. Staff is friendly. The tea service was not the best. Sandwiches were hard like they had been made the night before and refrigerated. Tiramisu tasted like premade pudding cups from costco. Scones were adequate. Tea was lovely. We found the lunch items were far better tasting. Not high on my recommendations list overall.

This place is amazing. We had a group of 10 for lunch and it was perfectly done . The presentation was unbelievable and the food was great . It was so elegant with the beautiful dishes and teapots . The service was the best and so on target . This place would be a perfect party for the little girls . I love that it has so much room than the English tea room , and the food is much better here . The best experience ever . So glad I booked my ladies day out here , it was wonderful. .

We went on Saturday morning after my son’s soccer game for breakfast, and it was such a great experience. The place feels cozy yet elegant, and the atmosphere is very inviting.

The food was excellent—we tried the salmon bagel, avocado toast, and turkey sandwich, while the kids enjoyed the strawberry and chocolate crepes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. They also have a really nice selection of teas and coffees.

The service was friendly and attentive, which made the visit even better. My wife already plans to come back next week with her friends for brunch!

We loved the atmosphere, the people, the food, and the drinks—everything you could want for a perfect Saturday morning. I would 100% recommend this place.

I've been twice, and it was amazing both times! Both times I got Tea service, and I added a cup of tomato soup once. Everything was delicious, and the presentation was perfect! There is a nice selection of teas, and the ambience is great - very inviting and relaxing. I also took a pastry home after my most recent visit, and it was delicious as well. The owners are very friendly an gracious. I can't wait to go back!

The food was ok. The ambiance is very nice and service was very good. I didn't love that, at $30 a pop, we had to share the scones and dessert. So for a table of two, we got two different scones -- one plain and one cranberry-- that we had to cut in half to share, and one kind of each dessert that we had to split up. They were large portion sizes but I didn't like having to cut everything in half at something as elegant as high tea. I'd say make the portions smaller and give each person his or her own serving. It gets messy otherwise. The parfait in particular was not something that was easy to split up. I had to scoop half out onto my plate- it was messy and kind of ruined the joy of eating a parfait. And there was a table next to us of three people- they got two full servings of each of the scones and desserts, so they technically got more food than us but paid the same price. Didn't seem too fair. Offering a children's menu for high tea would be good also- I had to pay $30 for my 5 yo and he only ate the dessert because everything else was a bit advanced for his palette.
