“The sushi is fresh daily! I’ve seen their trucks delivering fresh fish all the time. The tonkatsu ramen is amazing and their poke rainbow bowl is delicious, filling, light and a great value. Their lunch boxes are the best deal in town. Can’t beat the food you get for the price. You get a salad, a soup, and an entree with veggies noodles rice and protein with gyoza for about 12-15$.”

“Excellent experience! We’re a family of five with young kids, so eating out can sometimes feel chaotic, but Liz’s Where Y’at Diner made it an amazing experience from the moment we walked in. Liz, the owner, personally welcomed us at the door and helped create a kid-friendly setup that made everything so much easier for our family. I ordered the steak and eggs, and the steak melted in my mouth like butter. There was a small issue with my wife’s avocado salad, but Liz immediately stepped in and personally made it right. That level of care and attention is rare these days. When it was time to leave, she made sure we were all happy and hugged all the kids goodbye! The owner and staff truly treat you like family. Outstanding food, outstanding service, and an outstanding atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!”

“The best snowball stand on the entire Northshore! There are so many options and combinations. The flavors are not only seemingly endless, but their stuffed snowballs are so unique! We love the limited time and seasonal creations they come up with to keep it interesting! They really care about their products, presentation, and customer base. Stop in and check them out! The thing about Cherrybomb is that no matter what you get the coffee/espresso flavor comes through even in a latte or flavored drink. I also want the staff to know I appreciate that they are consistent and friendly. I can see the culture is great there and it’s always a pleasure to stop in!”

Very very reasonably priced and tasted amazing! The onion rings were finished a little after I arrived which had them perfect! Everyone was super helpful with making sure I got the whole order and that it was correct. I even almost forgot to grab my coke but the lovely woman working reminded me!! Thank you!”

“Liu’s Wok has amazing food. We always take out and find the dishes delicious. We have never been disappointed. The portions are quite large and can be shared or saved for your next meal.

While you could eat in; I’d recommend picking up your favorite dish and bringing it home or work. The atmosphere is quite casual.

Also, I love that they honor Sundays and are closed for worship.”

We do believe our order was either lost or never sent to the kitchen when tables around us that arrived after we did were getting their food. However, as soon as another waitress and another person working there (I don’t know if he was the owner or the manager) noticed what was happening they both went above and beyond to make it right. The owners are famous chefs from China. It’s not just Chinese food. It’s Chinese Cajun Creole Seafood and it’s ONE OF A KIND and AMAZING. The building is unique and gorgeous, the staff is extremely friendly.”

“Grew up on the Westbank with McKenzies king cakes and bakery goods. Had one I could ride my bike to and loved it Krummels reminds me of it so much! The king cakes are absolutely amazing and are the closest I have found to those classic McKenzies cakes we all loved (and yes, I have tried the “old recipe” versions as Tastee in Metairie.) Walking in causes the memories to come flooding back, the air even feels the same inside. Highly recommended”

Now, onto the main event: the food. I ordered the beef burrito topped with queso, along with rice, refried beans, chips, and salsa. The burrito was flavorful, with well-seasoned beef, and the queso complemented it perfectly. The beans were creamy with just a touch of cheese, and the rice was solid and satisfying. But the salsa really stood out — it had a nice sweetness from the tomatoes, great flavor overall, and just the right little kick.

Egg rolls - it’s freshly fried. It’s kinda sweeter than the other egg rolls I’ve tried but I like sweet and salty so I like it.

Orange Chicken - it’s not as bad as what they’ve said on bad reviews. I can taste the chicken & I like it. I hope they put a little bit more orange flavor though.

Beef Lo Mein - I love it! I will come back for this lo mein! It’s flavorful & has a lot of meat.
