“We had Creole Tomateaux at their food truck in Slidell at the craft fair. Absolutely delicious! The portions were hot and generous. The staff was so nice. We ordered the steak and cheese po’boy, fried green tomatoes, and shrimp tacos. The green tomatoes were crispy with a bit of spice. They were perfect. The steak and cheese was just the right amount for me and another to share. The bread was so fresh tasting and the steak was actually slices of perfectly cooked ribeye. It was heaven. The shrimp tacos were wonderful. The tortilla had a nice crunch and warm delicious cheesy center. They were eaten so fast I didn’t get to try any! If you ever see this pop up food truck, definitely stop whatever you’re doing and get some authentic Creole cooking!”

“Another Beautiful Day does not have the best atmosphere but they do have the cleanest options for on the go food healthy food in the Mandeville area. The cold turkey salad sandwich is premium. The establishment also sales bone broth. For a fifth star they have cute outdoor cafe style seating if your good with the Louisiana heat. Also Please note this place is practically Historic. Its been around for decades with generation after generation as loyal customers.”

“My family has visited Sushi restaurants in many locations, many cities, even Disney World. Megumi’s is our absolute most favorite one! “Our Mother's Day dinner and waitress (Ashley) were great! Enjoyed sitting outside in the patio area. The only downfall was the rude hostess that made us feel completely unwelcome. She was an older women with black hair. We called and let them know we would be about 15 minutes late and checked in before 5:15 for a 5p reservation. She said they give 15 minute leeway and we were there at 5:13 actually. She was almost trying to talk us into leaving (which was not happening). She kept saying we would need to be gone by 7p because the table was booked. When you spend hundreds at a restaurant you want to be made to feel welcome and we were most certainly not. She should not be working in customer service!”

Hers was a dressed meatball Poboy. Not on the menu but they did it for her! Will definitely be back and I want to go to the original one now too.”

I asked 2 of them their names, Dominic and Mikey...not sure what the other name was.. he was blending another smoothie as when we were leaving. “This is the best sushi restaurant I have ever had. The food is extremely fresh and consistent. The pricing is fair. The service is just right, not too in your face but not going to just abandon you either. We have tried different sushi places all over the area and there is always something lacking whether flavor service or consistency. Highly recommend!

Vegetarian options: You can get custom sushi but they have several rolls that would be vegetarian friendly.

Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and a good kids menu, kids sushi is simple and comes with fruit.”

We went to several other Sushi places around mid afternoon, finding out that they were closed and wound up at Twin’s place. She also introduced us to a complementary Emory salad that was awesome! We feel so very fortunate that we did end up there! We will absolutely be back!”

“Grew up on the Westbank with McKenzies king cakes and bakery goods. Had one I could ride my bike to and loved it Krummels reminds me of it so much! The king cakes are absolutely amazing and are the closest I have found to those classic McKenzies cakes we all loved (and yes, I have tried the “old recipe” versions as Tastee in Metairie.) Walking in causes the memories to come flooding back, the air even feels the same inside. Highly recommended”
