We thoroughly enjoyed the seafood gumbo, sautéed crab claws and soft-shell crab entree (all outstanding)! We went to several other Sushi places around mid afternoon, finding out that they were closed and wound up at Twin’s place. She also introduced us to a complementary Emory salad that was awesome! “Another Beautiful Day does not have the best atmosphere but they do have the cleanest options for on the go food healthy food in the Mandeville area. The cold turkey salad sandwich is premium. The establishment also sales bone broth. For a fifth star they have cute outdoor cafe style seating if your good with the Louisiana heat. Also Please note this place is practically Historic. Its been around for decades with generation after generation as loyal customers.”

“Only suggestion, for this visit is the gumbo, we ordered two cups and mine had a half of shrimp and my family member didn't have any. We told the waitress who said she would get us some more but we were ok we just wanted to let the staff know in case. Maybe can just try to keep track if the pot gets low on shrimp. Owned a restaurant so I know how hard and busy it can be. Great all around!!! Have a great profitable year!!!”

“Came to visit today , and must say the new remodel looks fabulous !! The store is so spacious and has a lot of seating to just unwind and it smells like yummy strawberries. The service was great . The employees are always so helpful and kind. This is my favorite ”

“Our Mother's Day dinner and waitress (Ashley) were great! Enjoyed sitting outside in the patio area. The only downfall was the rude hostess that made us feel completely unwelcome. She was an older women with black hair. We called and let them know we would be about 15 minutes late and checked in before 5:15 for a 5p reservation. She said they give 15 minute leeway and we were there at 5:13 actually. She was almost trying to talk us into leaving (which was not happening). She kept saying we would need to be gone by 7p because the table was booked. When you spend hundreds at a restaurant you want to be made to feel welcome and we were most certainly not. She should not be working in customer service!”

“I visited this place while my car was being serviced. The young man taking the orders was super nice and helpful. He was willing to explain every dish and they also have pictures of every dish. I had a small dietary request and they were able to handle it with no problems. The food was freshly made to order. It was delicious!!! I wasn't able to order any of the desserts but they all look delicious. I will definitely be back. This is a great introduction of Honduran food.”

“Love it there there is no food unless food truck or someone cooking outside or for a game or a benefit or some kind of party like Mardi Gras...it's a neighborhood bar during the week and the best live music venue on the Northshore on the weekends. Playing the best music from all genre's but The Funky Blues has always been a Ruby's staple. It's always a happening place with good friendly folks and the best owners anyone could work for...place has been like family to me for the past 20 years...not to mention I had the pleasure and opportunity to work there for 10 years. I miss it so much but health issues prevents me from doing it anymore unless I'm asked to fill in and guest bartend for a day. If you have never had the opportunity to go there your missing out on a great place and great people. Hurry and get on down there for a cold beer, great drinks and some music. There's always some fun happening at Ruby's Roadhouse xxxoooo”

The king cakes are absolutely amazing and are the closest I have found to those classic McKenzies cakes we all loved (and yes, I have tried the “old recipe” versions as Tastee in Metairie.) Walking in causes the memories to come flooding back, the air even feels the same inside. Highly recommended”

“My husband and I stopped in for a frozen treat. We both ordered a concrete with coconut, bananas, pineapple and pecans. It was delicious but a bit melted. I am not sure if it was from the extreme heat outside, but I placed the order and ate inside, not the drive thru. Anyway, service was good and would come back again.”

However, as soon as another waitress and another person working there (I don’t know if he was the owner or the manager) noticed what was happening they both went above and beyond to make it right. Our food was delicious and we will be back.”

“Coscino's is a little family owned gem for some down home food. They do music on Thursdays, and bands from time to time. The outside is unassuming, but I like that it's a casual place.

We reserved their side room for a casual birthday get together and despite the group size their service and kitchen did very well.

I had a pizza with pepperoni and mushroom, which was very good. They have a soft crust with generous toppings. We also had a chicken Parm which was very good!
Their side room rental is perfect for small day time events and small evening get togethers.

A few other items I heard were very good from the group were meatballs (sandwiches and spaghetti), chicken Parm sandwiches, meat lovers pizza, BBQ chicken pizza and loaded fries.

One waiter couldn't be no more than 16 saw couple times going behind the bar. Prices have gone up considerably since we started eating here. If you order Fajitas and want cheese...pay extra. You want sour cream....pay extra and that's excluding the guacamole you tell them to leave off. Will say the Fajitas are good but more than half of it is onions and bell peppers.”
