The only reason I went 4 stars across the board, instead of the 5 stars like I always give, is that the food was cold by the time we got home which is 5mins away and one of the dinner plates was wrong but still the same price of what I ordered and I enjoyed. BUT I will always recommend ????

Used to be better. Went twice within last 12 months and both times felt like they changed their recipes and not for the better. Sorry.

Did not appreciate the extra charge for using a credit card, my food was cold and the chicken taco was horrible. Everyone at the table agreed. Music went off and had to listen to a buzz for several minutes. I felt our table was an after thought for the waiter. This is usually a goto for me and my friends but unfortunately after this experience we all agreed we would not be back.

I'm 25 years old and they refused to serve me alcohol "because my id wouldn't scan since it's a Mississippi I'd." Refused to look at my actual date of birth, and basically implied it was a fake. Don't go here for a good time.

Great local Mexican Eatery ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Parking: Shared parking lot so it may be a little difficult to park if the establishment is busy however there is free street parking and accessible spaces Kid-friendliness: Kid-Friendly Eatery
The good:Attentive service at first. Good location. The bad:Highly pricey considering the quality, mediocre at best.I wanted to go to George’s since most places are closed on Mondays. We had a simple order: house sangria and margarita, 2 quesos. After reading the menu, I didn’t order further but the girlfriend ordered tacos. Queso and cocktails were mediocre at best. Queso tasted like velveeta with no spice. Margarita was very watered down. I didn’t try the tacos. The biggest shock? The price of this. With tip it came to $54. If it was around 20-25ish the quality would be acceptable but I feel like a lot of places in mandeville want to deliver gas station beer quality at champagne prices. For $54 I’d rather visit one of the other dozen Mexican restaurants in a 15 minute drive. I’d recommend avoiding.

I am giving them a 2 star only because the service here was pretty good, and 1 star would take away from that. Everything was brought out promptly, and the servers were very friendly. That being said, we decided to go to George's for the first time, and we were pretty disappointed. I feel like I've been to so many Mexican restaurants (since that is so common in this area), and this was the worst by a long shot. We went because I have seen cars lined up on the service road many times. I thought that SURELY it must be good, but I am seriously questioning the people that line up to go there. My date and I ordered house drinks (a sangria and a margarita). They were just meh...not terrible, but not my favorite. The salsa and the sour cream were my favorite things I got from there. I ordered a plain white queso, and he ordered a queso with chorizo. I could not get more than a few bites into my queso before I just thought, "this isn't worth the calories." My date did not order anything else, but I decided to get the meal of 3 chicken hard tacos (what I get at most Mexican restaurants). The taco shells reminded me of great value, but they honestly were not bad--it was the chicken that was awful. I ate the first taco and thought it was okay (I was super hungry and had not really had much queso). I started on the second taco, and I could not finish it. I kept getting a "boiled in dirty water" taste from the meat. I tried the 3rd one just to make sure and same thing....i think my hunger masked how awful it was. So there I was, disappointed to say the least, and when we get the check, it was $52 (including a 20% tip). I would rather go to Taco Bell and spend $52 than go back. I decided not to complain about the food to them because it wasn't just one thing--it was everything, and I'm not sure what they can do to fix it. I hope they try so they can keep those lines, but at this rate, I can't see it continuing to be successful.

Used to be our favorite Mexican restaurant. Not any more. Their idea of a tostada is over salted but otherwise bland queso on half a taco shell ($3.50). No detectable tequila in the margaritas. Enchiladas were smaller and off in flavor. Beef taco was dry and bland. We'll not be back.

We loved this place before moving away. We went back a couple days ago and were very disappointed. The only thing enjoyable was the rice. The tostada is now half of a taco shell with a little bit of bland queso on it for $3.50. The flavor of everything else was off. The margarita had no detectable tequila. There was no manager on duty to make any right. We won't be back.

Pretty good Tex-mex spot. Fajitas were great. Served smoking hot and sizzling. Enchiladas were hot and very good. We asked for spicy salsa and they were happy to comply. It was indeed spicy!
