Wonderful in all regards. Food was delicious and hefty in portions. All members of the staff were professional and courteous. The table service was consistent with this and our host Savannah checked in with us with just the right balance to let us enjoy our meal.
The manager also personally came to our table and introduced herself. She made sure that the meal met our expectations (it did, with no question at this point). She offered to personally get refills on our drinks but we were already bordering on stuffed by this point so we declined. She was also perfectly courteous, friendly, and punctual.
On to the food. We shared the Burrata and Caprese salad. Both were very tasty and well portioned. Those appetizers would’ve been well-shared among four people (we were just two). I had the Redfish Amandine. Awesome, no notes, probably my favorite rendition that I have had. From taste, the sauce it was served with was white wine based. So good. My girlfriend had the spaghetti bolognese which was both delicious (with a great proportion of sauce & meat to pasta) and hefty. No joke, just that dish could have fed both of us, maybe even without the appetizers. Really tasty too.
Needless to say, we went home stuffed to the gills with leftovers. I am writing this review after round two of spagbol and it was just as good. Yum.
The one thing I would note: this is a fine dining establishment. I wish we had realized this making the reservation (visiting from out of town). We would’ve dressed better. We didn’t catch a hard time from the staff at all, I would just rather dress to match such good service, food, and atmosphere. Would recommend for anyone seeking a great meal for a special occasion with friends, family, or a romantic acquaintance.

We celebrated our 54th wedding anniversary here. Such a great experience. I had the Redfish Mediterranean and it was so delicious. My wife had the Redfish special for the evening and it was great. Large portions and you won't leave hungry. Fairly priced for such a wonderful experience. Thanks again to the Chef and staff for making our dining experience so special.

There is a nice bouquet of flowers set on my table that my wife got to keep a bottle of wine given to us and I could not say enough about this place! I could give it a rating of 10 stars it would get that, but it only has five so I’m settling for the five star rating.

Perfect dinner from appetizers to dessert. My husband raved about the French onion soup and I was shocked by the Italian cream cake for dessert. Their veal is some of the best I ever had. I highly recommend the veal piccata and if you love vegetables - it's worth paying extra to substitute for pasta.

Everything about this dining experience was amazing! The menu offers such a great balance of veal, duck seafood, including muscles, steak dishes and more. The style of the food is European – Sicilian and French. The Insalata Caprese had Barada like I've only eaten in Europe!  The Osso Bucco was the best I've ever had. Dessert offering were also wonderful.  I highly recommend this restaurant for special dinners.!

When you find a gem, its good to share. We discovered this Northshore neighborhood restaurant last year and meant to go back sooner than we did- however, we went there for my birthday dinner. Delicious doesnt begin to describe the food! All of the ingredients were very fresh and of excellent quality- even the olive oil was top notch. There is a vegetarian menu (hard to come by on the Northshore) but the risotto is some of the best I have had. Oh- the gelato is homemade and is incredibly flavorful! If you have the opportunity and the desire for excellent Italian cuisine- check it out!
Outstanding food and service. While all the food was amazing, the beet salad was to die for—I would go back just to have that dish again. And, Morgan was attentive and gracious. Recommend Papillon's highly.

I think the prices are very reasonable and I have been to other restaurants that are much more expensive and food and service don't compare to yours. Service, atmosphere, cocktails and food were excellent! Our waitress was amazing. The menu has changed just slightly. Appears to be a larger choice of menu items, but the Elefante is no longer on the menu. It will be missed. But, everything we ordered was really good! The lobster ravioli is not to be missed. We actually shared it as an appetizer between four guests. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a fun evening with great food!

Overall we had a pleasant experience dining at Papillon's in Mandeville! Having the chef leave the kitchen and visit our table was a nice personal touch that was greatly appreciated! Food properly prepared and excellent service are obviously at the top of his list of priorities! Well done indeed! Our only possible area of complaint would be the level of noise in the dining area on occasion! Of course we understand the experience of all patrons should be centered around enjoying oneself however the lack of sound absorbing materials in the dining area greatly contribute to the sounds of laughter and conversation becoming overwhelming and not conducive to enjoyable conversation at one's own table... the basic architecture and choice of decor unfortunately seem to be the prime contributors to this occasional excessive level of noise! We only offer our observation as to be constructive.... This singular issue will not keep us from revisiting “Papillon's” on occasion in the future but we do believe it is the one area that if improved upon would set this establishment at the very top of fine dining restaurants located in and around the Northshore!!!
