Best New Mexican style Mexican food in Louisiana!

Stella served us at the bar and she made the best margarita I’ve had in Mandeville. They also have a large selection of excellent tequila. The queso and the salsa is excellent as well. Don’t go to one of the Carettas come here. It’s an awesome place.

Food was mediocre at best the crowed seem to think the were upscale or something a lot of older people staring at us because we had kids ace was old very out dated and unlevel we ordered britacos and happy plate and very disappointed

This is for the taco shack not the restaurant. The food is excellent and deserves recognition. The service is incredible, the food is made from scratch and it is always hot and made to perfection. This place deserves more business.

Consistency, and might be the friendliest restaurant in Mandeville. Gets crowded at peak times, but they’re able to seat faster than you might think.

Parking: It’s a gravel lot, so the lines aren’t very visible - but it adds to the overall charm

Food is consistently awesome. My family has frequented this restaurant for years. Wait time to get your food is not long at all!

Vegetarian options: You can easily make many dishes vegetarian by just leaving off the protein ( chicken, beef or pork)

Got two out of three orders wrong when it was dead quiet, no one else in the restaurant. Food is so profoundly not New Mexican, much like most restaurants making this claim outside the state. Chile is a sparse, pallid, flavorless slurry. Do not judge one of the best regional cuisines in the country on the basis of this flop house imposter.

My friend and I went last Friday and our server, Brayden H, decided to tip himself TWICE on both our tabs. So I paid $44 on a $24 tab. I'm guessing this is their business practice. They've lost 2 loyal customers

My usual 5 star restaurant was really off Wednesday 5/15/24, WAS NOT a 5 star visit. Salsa, chips, guacamole was excellent as well as the FROZEN margaritas. On the other hand the chili relleno w/grilled shrimp (will not order again) was NOT like the night of Thursday 4/25/24, the Mexican pizza was NOT cut when served and the nachos deluxe was a pile of chips with minimal steak fajita style with vegetables tossed on top with no cheese, no beans etc. Margarita on the rocks was brought to the table WITHOUT one cube of ice. Needless to say I was trying to impress two other people that had never eaten there before and I had recommended all my favorites which my friends ordered. They were NOT impressed!

This place did not disappoint at all... Everything from the chips and salsa down to the beans , rice , queso and enchiladas were delicious. The service was great and believe me we had about 20 in our party. Everything was served in a timely order , nothing was forgotten or left out , all the staff were helpful , joyous and very informative. The atmosphere was so nice it made you feel like you were in a real Spanish setting. Absolutely clean from the courtyard to indoors and even the restroom was extremely clean. Will definitely keep this on my list when visiting the North Shore in the future especially since they are very affordable.

Very good New Mexican style food, not authentic but they know what they are doing. The Chile Rellenos are very very good, don't sleep on their desserts because they hit the spot at the end of each meal.
