Crab cake and shrimp. It was ok . The first time to visit was better than this time. Food was ok but nothing exciting enough to want to go back .
The food is very good and the portions are generous. I didn'thave any easy time parking, but the food is so definitely worth the hassle. The crab cakes, shrimp are delicious. The catfish is beyond good. That is what immediately catches everyones attention. I'm certain that it was not American Catfish, and still very tasty, but a species of catfish in the family Pangasiidae, shark catfish. They are always packed, very busy. It's always very very hot and fresh. The fountain drinks taste like they're in bottles and even their tea is great.

Some might say the best po-boy in town. Others say the second best, but in any case definitely on the list of must try. They've got great sides. Incredible pie. Lots of selection. Repeat destination for lunch.

Food used to be great. I don't see the nice man who owns/used to own it there anymore, and since his absence, they will no longer make a grilled shrimp po-boy, eventhough, the request is so easy any refusal is petty. I've gotten a practically raw burger. Both of those issues I was mellow, even kind about. Recently, I got food poisoning from undercooked shrimp. Shouldn't have eaten them, but I'd already left with the order, and had to get back to work. Then, I'd had enough. A very rude and unapologetic woman, claiming to be the owner, told me, in so many words that I didn't have to go there, and seemingly that I wasn't welcome. Sad to let it go, it was really great once! It's now run very, very poorly!

OMG. More shrimp on a poboy than I’ve seen on some shrimp platters! Fried to perfection, quick service! Fantastic!!! Would definitely come again!
Ponchatrain Po-Boys is always great. All the sandwiches are loaded up. Some of the best plate lunches around and all the employees are pleasant.
