Dirty little dive bar. I loved it. Went in early in the day when it was quiet, but it looks like it could be VERY fun at night. The bloody mary was just what I needed. The bartender was friendly and had excellent local food recommendations.
Love it there there is no food unless food truck or someone cooking outside or for a game or a benefit or some kind of party like Mardi Gras...it's a neighborhood bar during the week and the best live music venue on the Northshore on the weekends. Playing the best music from all genre's but The Funky Blues has always been a Ruby's staple. It's always a happening place with good friendly folks and the best owners anyone could work for...place has been like family...
I lived in Mandeville for years and used to go to Ruby's every now and then.
Great Dive Bar, Reasonable drink prices and they get good bands to play there. Funky / Tacky decor and patrons.
Worth the time if you're in the area to check out and even better when they have a good Band playing.
