I’ve been a loyal customer at Love Pho in Mandeville for years, always ordering the same thing with no issues — until tonight.
I placed a takeout order around 7:45 PM (they close at 8:30), requesting shrimp pho with extra veggies and spicy chili wings with shrimp fried rice for my son. I was charged the usual price, but when we got home, we found plain white rice instead. When I called to ask about it, the young man on the phone told me their prices had changed and, even though I requested shrimp fried rice, I “wasn’t charged for it” — so they gave me white rice instead. No apology, no explanation, just “so yeah,” and then he put me on hold.
Totally unprofessional. I always tip, but thankfully didn’t this time. One bad experience like this ruins all the good ones.
Sad to say I won’t be back. If this is how they treat regulars, it’s not worth it. There are other places that value their customers and take pride in doing things right

Their prices are SO good & they were very fast. The food is decent. Try their little fish pastry, the name escapes me but it’s a flakey fish pastry with Nutella in it. Taiyaki or something. Eat that.
Meatballs are a tad small but that’s ok because the prices are fantastic!

Such a cute place and friendly service! The food is amazing, but their drinks are 🔥!!! The Vietnamese coffee is my go-to, but I have loved all their flavored refreshers I’ve tried so far (get the strawberry lychee!).
Favorite food items are the rare beef pho, chicken fried rice, sticky buns tacos with pork belly, and egg rolls! I actually haven’t had anything yet that I don’t like, even the bone marrow which sounded weird, was delicious. I go here at least once a week, if I lived in walking distance I’d probably be here every day!

On our road trip we stopped here since my daughter wanted noodles. They did not disappoint! The kids menu was great, as it had options for my other picky eater & a small size Pho for my daughter. The regular pho w/beef was delicious, as I snagged a taste from my husband. Beefy and flavorful broth, hint of sweetness. I had the tofu noodle salad, which was my first, tasted fresh! I’d next time hold the mayo as they do add a bit much. Also had the Taro boba smoothie! All in all, highly recommend for the quick service, and yummy food options :)

Love the food here! If you get a chance to come, pho is a must. Beef vermicelli or spam musibi with avocado added are really good too. Great service and relaxing atmosphere

We decided to try the pho place out. About the amount of a happy meal appetizer for a dinner time and cost portion across the board. We dropped 50$ for our total meal in the middle of a week for dinner cost.
Luke warm up to cold food levels in general…
Rare beef pho was a good flavor. But tiny serving. One jalapeño?? For a whole bowl of pho? Wow. You can’t at least lavish your customers with a healthy amount of toppings as your protein amount is so minimal? Even the noodles were a negligible amount— and they should be heaping. Nope.
Killer Poboy was wooden and cold and old shoe leather pork belly. Super bland flavors. Like chewing a few pieces of oak tree. That were left out several hours.
The Beef dish was tiny and stone cold meat.
All the serving sizes are minuscule and tiny almost like everything is an appetizer. Completely let down and surprised they have a near perfect score.
Business was dead slow but I thought with a perfect review (almost 5.0 perfect with multiple reviews) it would’ve been great and the service was kind enough, but the experience was so bad. We won’t be going back.
Maybe if flavors were stellar but it was 5/10 experience as a whole. Disappointing.
Like I say (a recent phrase I’ve coined for the terrible economy and performance of restaurants; and I totally get the pain that employers are feeling and hiring staff and keeping people working…nonetheless….) “Everything is cheaper and more expensive”.
YIKES.

We had the best rare beef pho, shaken beef, and crispy pork belly sticky buns. One of the best pho broths we've had in a while. The server was attentive.
