I can't speak to the food (yet), but I've been here 3 times to relax, have coffee and read. Great funky atmosphere. Music just right. Everyone including the other patrons are super nice and friendly. Oh, and the coffee is great!

One of the things people love to do at a coffee shop is relax, but many are smaller and have indoor seating only amidst a swarm of blenders and espresso machines. Book and Bean is a much quieter and personal affair where you can sit in a shared area outside. So even when the heat index is in the triple digits.
Awesome coffee and food selection and great place to unwind.
EDIT 2: I forgot to mention that the French Toast Muffin is amazing . Favorite thing to order with a nice cold brew

Wonderful place! I just go there to clear my mind and settle down. The lady working there is the kindest women. Make sure to visit her shop and take a look around! Her taste in everything is incredible. The art, the items in the store, the COFFEE and the MUFFINS are outstanding!!
The coffee and breakfast here is absolutely stellar. There is a sweet cat there named, Boots. All of the staff are accommodating and even the cat is delightful.

My friends and I each ordered a cup of coffee yesterday, sat at the table by the front door, ate muffins, and watched the pedestrians walk by the side of the road. The sun shined around us, and we felt calm and comfortable.
