Triple Nickel Grill

As much as our family loves Triple Nickel, we were incredibly disappointed that my wife and I got sick from eating fried fish at dinner one night. The kids had burgers (well done) so there was no trouble there. My wife and I have been seafood lovers our whole lives… we do not have allergies to anything. About two hours after dinner, she broke out with red spots and hive-like bumps all over her face and neck, feelings of itchiness, and stomach discomfort. I experienced the same itchiness and stomach discomfort as well… barely slept that night. It was an unfortunate experience, as we have had such great meals there before. Hard to shake though. TBD on if we go back.

I met a friend for lunch! It was our first time here and it was great! I had the Fullhouse~grilled ham, turkey, bacon, melted cheddar on croissant with fries and everything was cooked to perfection! Hearty portions, too, I took my leftovers home to eat for dinner! Very reasonably price for the amount of food you get! Staff was very friendly!! We will be back!!

I ordered take out. The crab cakes were amazing! You could actually see the lumped crabmeat. The gumbo and crab and corn bisque were very good.

Came in for lunch with my daughter who was being picky. The cashier was very nice and accommodating. She was new and made a mistake and sold us a side of cheese fries which apparently only come in the more expensive appetizer version. After paying and starting to go to sit down, Stephanie caught the mistake and explained they don’t sell sides of cheese fries, only fries. I made the point well, it wouldn’t be hard to just add cheese to a smaller size in this case where we were sold a smaller fry size mistakenly. Stephanie said that was physically impossible to add cheese. I asked her if the fries come premade because it’s obviously physically possible to add cheese to fries. Stephanie attempted to explain how cheese needed to go on appetizer sized fries only because it wasn’t possible. I said the only reason it wasn’t possible was because of the cost and it was an attempt to upcharge which I understand but after the mistake I was hoping they’d just add some cheese and make it easier on everyone. I guess it wasn’t.

I basically said it wasn’t worth the up charge for that because it was for my kid and really I just needed a smaller fry. It was at this point I said never mind and just take the fry off and give me the other food I ordered. During this, my child who is 8, made a comment when Stephanie said I wasn’t understanding and said yes he does understand in a rather stern way to Stephanie. While my daughter was out of line, Stephanie proceeded to glare at my child in an attempt to intimidate her and then glared at me. And said with such a rude child she was going to just refund my money and we could leave.

I told Stephanie she was out of line and if she had any comments about my child’s behavior she was going to direct them to me, not her. I then told her I paid for the meal I wanted and asked to be served.

Food was fine. Stephanie was not.

The place could use some more tender loving care as far as cleaning. Tables wiped down, but sticky and floors needed some work.

One of the better than other's.. Mandeville well, probably the best just my opinion.. burgers, seafood and PO boy's all great.

I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Tripple Nickle Grill on Florida Street in Mandeville, and it did not disappoint! The burger was absolutely phenomenal—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The food was served quickly, but what really stood out was the exceptional service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better.
