Bright Star Dive & Grill

My wife and I were visiting friends in Chalmette and being from north Mississippi We really enjoy a good southern breakfast. When you come to the New Orleans area, I know it's all about seafood, but this was a great find for a little diner and dive for breakfast. We highly recommended checking it out. The food was great and service spectacular. We will definitely come back again on our next visit.

We go here for breakfast frequently. The food is always great and the staff is awesome! The consistency is the best part. I know I’m going to have a great breakfast when we eat here. I got the grits last time and they were really good.

Best place to get breakfast or lunch! Always super friendly and welcoming. This is our go to spot after church.

Had breakfast here this morning for the first time and it was delicious and great service.

Went to Bright Star Dive & Grill today for the first time for lunch. Excellent Service, nice atmosphere, Staff was very nice & accommodating & the food was delicious. We will be back!!!

Best service! Best breakfast! Best potatoe salad! Best menu specials even when i miss them being out of town. Definitely the best place to eat all around in my opinion. Macy Pilet is the best!! But so is everyone else!! Wonderful family with wonderful food!

Oh man where do I start??? Family owned and operated :) This place is a hidden gem beside a gas station/tackle store. The employees are all professional and well mannered as well as kind and welcoming. The owner is a delight to talk with. They seem to stay pretty constantly busy so that goes to show a place worth while coming to! The food tastes like a 5 star Michelin chef prepared it just to dance across your taste buds and delight your pallet! It’s a bit on the small side inside but *if* there was a wait, it will be WELL WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY!! Trust me just come and see what they’re all about! The bright star special has just about everything you could ask for in a hot, quickly prepared delicious breakfast meal! Try the biscuits “grilled”. Full menu is available all day as well.

We pick up food from Brightstar twice a week Atleast. It’s become a staple in our house.

Absolutely wow.
This is probably my new favorite place in the parish.
Literally everything we got was fantastic.
My son had the spaghetti and it was good plus such a good portion (maybe even too much lol) for the kids menu.
My husband had the shrimp and fish platter with Mac and cheese and Holy Cow, that Mac and cheese was the highlight of my night. So dang good.
I personally got the potato sandwich which is a comfort food for me but was delicious just the same.
Also their fries are good and a tad bit spicy. But good.
For appetizers we got the mozzarella sticks and the spinach dip.
Loved them both. I didn't care for the mozz sauce, but it wasn't bad at all, just a personal preference.
I will probably be coming to eat here every time I can lol.
