“Not much has changed since the last review. They don't answer the phone. food is great. I love there poor boys. Upon hiring they need to do a test run to see if they understand that when a phone rings. It needs to be answered. Business owners invest money to build a business.”

“Went here for my birthday dinner and it was exceptional. Romantic and cozy atmosphere with decor that transports you to Venezuela. The owner helped us order the best flank steak and branzino I've ever had. Definitely try the homemade hot sauce. Can't wait to go again!”

“The first thing you notice is the quirky decor & immediately feel at home. The second is the excellent customer service, southern hospitality at its finest. I ordered the crab cakes with poached eggs on top. I will never eat a crab cake anywhere BUT here. Their food was delectable and by far the BEST food I’ve had while in NOLA. Our server gave great free entertainment advice for us tourists and was highly attentive. All this to say, don’t come to NOLA & miss out on Elizabeth’s. They are a MUST experience.”

“Oh my gosh I bought a box as a souvenir to share with the family. All the pralines I have ever had have been too sugary and hard. Miss Loretta’s Pralines are better than chocolate and her Praline Stuffed beignets are better than the “other very popular place!” I also love the Jesus signs!! I wish I would have bought more!”

“My wife and I took the ferry over and checked out this outdoor restaurant, which is cute and converted from an old gas station. Unfortunately, the prices are pretty high for what you get - $4 for a two-bite taco and $36 for a pitcher of house margaritas. The margaritas were pretty weak - not a hint of a buzz afterward. Nice setting, but hard to justify the prices.”

“Visited on Dec 30. Why eat Mexican when in Nola? Because it is world class. Easily a top 5 meal and I have a long list of amazing restaurants visited. I’ll start with the end. Get the desserts. Save room. They are amazing. We opted for both the FLAN and the MASA TRES LECHES. The latter was moist, light and life changing. The flan was rich and fulfilling. The menu is small but MIGHTY. The cocktails were well thought out and varied. We started with the AGUACHILES VERDE and TUNA TOSTADA. Both were fresh, flavorful and authentic. A few bites each for two of us. For the main portions, we chose the CHOCHOYOTES and ARROZ NEGRO. The former is a Mexican influenced play on southern collared greens. More of a side but amazing on its own. A very worthy pair to the main character of this meal, the ARROZ NEGRO. Corn smut sounds terrible but it is delicious. The mussels, squid and shrimp add a Nola flair to this amazing dish. It is very rich and a solid portion. Flavors and texture for days. Plus a bit of umami from the huitlacoche. It is a bit pricy. Total before tip for 2 of us was $250. That included 5 cocktails, 4 dishes and 2 desserts.”

Of all the items we tried I would have to say that the one that was hardest for me to share with my family was the muffuletta sticks!”
