“Can't get more local than Charlie's. Servings are huge. All the food is good. Servers are always helpful, my go to spot when I get a visitor from out of state.”
“BIG MEALS ARE MADE FROM THE BACK AND YOU CAN EAT THE BUFFET UNTIL U CANT EAT ANTMORE!Kid-friendliness: Penny had her grandkids grow up in the cafe and now her great grandson so they are things their for them to doParking: Many of spots available”
“We preordered a catering package of mini donuts and chicken tenders for a Girl Scout trip w 11 people! We needed something quick to go between our White House and Capital tours. The order was done when we arrived. The chicken tenders were perfectly seasoned and cooked, so crunchy and moist. And the donuts were amazing! Great assortment of flavors and nice sweet dough. This was also our cheapest meal of the trip which was an added bonus!”
“Food is delicious. Stick with pizza - we tried several different things and that's where it's at.Service was great.Took a star off because the atmosphere is family oriented and relaxed until you realize everyone loitering in the parking lot looking to spend their last buck in the video poker games. It took some of the ambience out.”
“In desperate need of a low-key quiet atmosphere in New Orleans, this place hit the spot.Quaint, quiet, some chill live music and some decent wine which is a major challenge in NOLO.Not a huge fan of the self-service wine and cheese board but it worked! Nice outdoor patio.”
“I stopped here on the way home from New Orleans, only 2 miles off I-10, so not really out of the way. We have a long drive, so I selected a steamed char sui bun, Pate Chaud, meat pie, Crawfish pie, coconut macaroons, mochi, and a pineapple bar. Omg, the Crawfish pie! It had so much filling, Crawfish, bamboo shoots, scallions, and seasonings I'm not sure of, but it was very spicy and delicious! I'm trying to find a recipe for it in my Vietnamese cooking group, because Google turned up nothing. The Pate Chaud was delicious too, but not as much filling as I wanted. The coconut macaroons were amazing, and surprisingly made without sweetened condensed milk, but you would never know that except for the ingredient list. The pineapple bar was not too sweet, as it looked, perfect for me. The mochi were delicious, with the all familiar chew. Have two more pies to sample, but I have no doubt they will be delicious too!”
“vaughan's is always a great place to grab drink after work. this was an after work stop for bday drinks for a friend/co-worker. it's was an excellent night. lot's of great discussions about oddball topics?so yeah, we had a blast. bday drinks after work was an excellent plan, and vaughans was the perfect place for that to happen.”
“GREAT BBQ spot. Awesome selection of meats, pies, and sides. I got the pulled pork and mac and cheese (pictured) but we also had some amazing baked beans, corn bread, ribs, and burnt bits in my group and all ate in happy, fulfilled silence as we enjoyed some really really good food. Staff were all friendly and efficient. Everything was clean. Great price for food and drinks”
“I can't even begin to describe how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! My daughter & I have made it our go-to spot. We're usually there twice a week at least. The bahn mi sandwiches are SO GOOD! The owner is the sweetest & kindest man I've ever met. All of the employees are very friendly & very efficient at their jobs. I just can't say enough good things about this establishment & the people who make you feel so welcome.”
“We were recommended to Elizabeth’s by a friend and thankfully we went early in our visit to New Orleans, because we ate breakfast here every day of our trip! From the incredible food, one of the best spicy margaritas, and their welcoming, friendly, staff. Thank you for the great meals and memories!”
“Amazing Event Cakes — We had a formal event this weekend for which Bywater provided our cakes. The chocolate peanut butter was to die for. The other cake was not what we ordered but we loved it just the same. If you need a cake for any occasion, we highly recommend Bywater Bakery.”
“The food was so delicious! I had the grape leave and chicken Tikka plate. The cucumber and tomato salad was so good, the chicken fell off the bone and the flavor was amazing. The rice was perfect! I loved all of it!”
“Wow, what a surprise - the beer aficionado's brewery to visit away from the touristy part of town. Focusing heavily on mixed fermentation (read: tart/brett styles) and saisons, with a smattering of enough others to satisfy groups. Serene outdoor area, except when the trains go right by the door (such is life). And a great value. Loved it.”
“DELICIOUS! We had the Philly Cheesesteak & BBQ Beeph Beignets. The food was hot, fresh and so savory! It is not fast food, but the wait is worth it! You should definitely stop by and grab something. We’ll be back!”
“One of the best bakeries for king cakes. They have other pastries too. Call ahead to order so it's ready ahead of time. The service is sweet and friendly. Friendly atmosphere. Tip: Cash only payment.”

“Love this place SO MUCH! My favorite bartender is Misty, but they're all amazing. The food was good, but the Melissa (Alma owner) took over- FANTASTIC! It's now a true "Gastro-dive! If you haven't been, go!”
“Hands down the BEST Mexican food experience our family has ever had! The ladies who took care of us were extremely friendly and accommodating, took time to explain the menu to us and make recommendations. Beyond that, the food was absolutely outstanding. The meats and veggies were fresh and the flavors were bountiful. This place is severely unassuming but worth the trip to the outskirts of town. Do yourself a favor and make your way to Taqueria 2 Brothers—you’ll thank me later.”
“I love the black bean burger and sweet potato fries. The taste is flavorful and consistent. There’s plenty of parking. it’s a nice quiet neighborhood right off of Gen Meyer Ave.. The owner is usually there.”
“My husband and I visited Royal Roastery after he received a gift from a coworker from here this holiday season. Absolutely wonderful place, we came out with so many delicious snacks and spices! They have a whole section of gummy candy, which is my JAM. We also got a pound of freshly ground coffee, and sampled a coffee flavored with cardamom pods. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Great place!”
“Went there today 3/30/24, Nicole B #3012 was our waitress..... Nicole was very customer oriented, polite and accommodating. Nicole B is a top notch waitress and a great ? asset ? to Zydeco's restaurant.Ashley was super nice and friendly. Had all you can eat crawfish for $39.99 each. Crawfish was seasoned but not too spicy ? but not bland either. I ate 3 trays and the crawfish were hot each time.”
“Le cafe eblouir2112 Belle Chasse Hwy STE 1, Gretna, LA 70056If you're a fan of strong coffee, that kisses the lip or crunchy pastries that make music to your ears, then hold and behold "Le Cafe Eblouir!" I definitely found this place by coincidence, and I'm glad I did! The Tiramisu latte and the Ham/Cheese crossaint were just O-M-G! I will definitely pass by this hidden gem again next time!#Tonylameats #lecafeblouir #gretnala #cafe #pastry #coffeeshop”
“Great good, friendly staff, beautiful view! Cute cabins & condos to rent, very secluded & quiet! Nice hidden spot! Lots of LSU & Florida State RV campers for this weekends opener!”
“Super yummy i had the beef and shrimp spring rolls the banh mi sandwich and vermicelli bowl with lemongrass chicken. Wish I would have taken a pic but was so hungry we didn't lol. The area is a lil sketchy but def worth it and it's clean would definitely go again!”
“Food was very fresh & delicious. Portions are HUGEEEE! Literally enough to share between 3-4 people. If you’re not a fan of spicy food you can always ask for your food without any spice. I got a level 0.5 for my food (tom kha soup & tofu pad se ew) and that was perfect for me. My husband got his panang curry a 1.5 level & that made my lips burn, but it was the perfect spice level for him. Not sure how anyone can order the level 5 spice unless they can handle the spiciest food known to man lol we also ordered the combination fried rice (delicious) and chicken satay. I have never seen chicken satay with sauce on it like they serve here, but it was very yummy! the thai green tea was also very refreshing.”
“Take out- friendly, prompt service Creole wings- plump, juicy, flavorful, not usually a wing eater but loved these Jerk chicken on bun- spicy, peppery, soft bun, loved it, i added habanero bbq sauce i had at home- it needed sauce. Fries- Excellent, house-made Loved the decor, seating on patio and out front, friendly neighborhood vibe Clean bathroom”
“I was in town to get a king cake and was looking for high rating restaurant that sells hot sausages po boys. This place did not disappoint!! Really good I will be back!”
“The owners were there every time I went. Very friendly atmosphere where I could tell it was full of regular customers. Their open Monday through Fri from 10 to 2. Great local place to have local food. I've eaten in the restaurant and had take out. On Friday they have a seafood platter with shrimp creole. The shrimp creole is great.”
“Cheesecake Heidi's Cheesecakes are rich and delicious, the customer service is remarkable. I love that her cakes are huge and not over priced. I would recommend this business to friends and family and I will be returning as well”
