I don't think I'll ever eat at a more delightful and delicious local restaurant. I had the saag and chingri malai shrimp in gravy, with appam and naan on the side. The appam was deliciously fluffy with a great coconut flavor. The naan was cooked perfectly and had brushed ghee and toasted spices on top. I had a great cocktail that had a good quality tequila in it, an awesome stout reduction and some mace (nutmeg) spice. It was perfect.
This is one of the best restaurants in the area. Low-key, low maintenance space. Food is off the charts. Owners are great. Just plain awesome. We've never been so happy to over order.

What a find. Definitely part of New Orleans' new wave of great cuisine. Indian food is not one that I usually think of as very innovative, but I was wrong. This place definitely changed my mind - Plume is innovative, and it is great. The banana chaat is a marvel of savory-sweet-spicy, an eye-opening dish for $12.
