“We were blown away on our first visit this morning!! Ryan is a talented mixologist in the bar creating beautiful, delicious and truly unique drinks. Our server Louis was incredibly charming and attentive, giving us excellent menu choices —as it was a hard decision. Every dish was a work of art—both in presentation and flavor. The whole experience was top-notch, and we can’t wait to come back!“

“It was a HOT day in July today so we were thankful to find Jay’s Place upstairs (with air conditioning.) The food was amazing and our servers were wonderful. We’ll definitely be back to try other poboys! Thanks, y’all!“

“Great food great service what else do you need. I ordered the garlic oyster po boy and some chicken and sausage gumbo. both were to die for. Definitely a place to stop if you are in town. it's a little off the path of the French quarter but worth the drive“

“I have been sending people to Bar Tonique for close to a year from my position as liquor vault manager at the Sazerac House. So many return to tell me what a great experience they had & to thank me for recommending it. I have left the position at Sazerac House & won't be sending any more from there, Good luck to all the craftsmen & women behind this truly wonderful place!“

“Cozy ambience with a unique, delicious drink menu. They also offer their kitchen to local food businesses, and the Asian fusion one there when I went was phenomenal. Donavin makes a wonderful drink called “Thank You for Being a Friend” with Louisiana run, almond, passionfruit, and smoky amaro – must try! I was in town for the Home + Garden Show, and Barrel Proof was the perfect unwind!“

“Stopped infor the first time yesterday and couldn't believe what I have been missing! I had the BEST Bloody Mary I've had in years, and the frozen concoction they were serving tasted like heaven. We will definitely be making this a regular stop.“

“You won't find a better location to hear live music in New Orleans. We were at The Soul Rebels gig last night, and the immediacy of hearing them in this intimate setting was fantastic. I will definitely be back next time I'm here!“

“Very cool dive bar. Frozen Irish Coffee is the bomb (add the shot).
Killer PoBoys was amazing. Had the seared shrimp. Devoured.
FYI. The bar and food are separate with the food closing earlier than the bar.“
“I can’t believe that I hadn’t been here yet. Came in for an event with my pup that was rained out, but Allison and the NOLA Distillery Krewe welcomed us and our pup. I got a delicious cocktail and Alison shared the history of the drink with me. Really cool. My husband got the tasting and needed out. All I can say, is that I had a great time and can’t wait to return.“

“We are in New Orleans from Minnesota and I wanted grits for breakfast; something rarely done right where we live. I had the smothered pork chop with grits and my husband had the shrimp and grits. It. Was. Heaven. I can only eat a small amount of food and I rarely miss the days where I could inhale massive portions of food, but today was that day.“

“Hands down the best bagels I’ve ever had. The chew, the crunch, the flavors are all there. The OG is also a great go to especially with the house-made sausage, but definitely explore their specials too! Today’s special with salami rosa was absolutely incredible…The flavor profiles of all their sandwiches are just so well balanced and articulately crafted. Can’t recommend them enough!!“

“Went here months ago now but trying to catch up on some reviews. Stopped by this bakery every day when I was in New Orleans. Everything I ordered was delicious. And everything I didn’t order looked delicious. Even enjoyed the coffee. Every employee I encountered was a pleasant person. Absolutely recommend. Can’t wait for my next trip to the Crescent City.“

“Where do I begin! The drinks are incredible. I recommend When Doves Cry and the michelada. The aesthetics are incredible! The hanging greenery and the paintings on the wall are beautifully done and just being in the space feels calming and fun. Kid friendly&pet friendly!“

“Wandered in because it was so pretty inside through the window, and sure enough, it was on the inside too! I didn't have much appetite but felt social and curious, so I sat up at the barter chatting with other guests and browsing menus. I eventually went with a couple drinks made by bartenders Will and Nick, who will steer you in the right direction if you ever find yourself clueless yet captivated at their bar.“

“We visited the one Royal street for a quick morning breakfast and coffee. We are vegetarian so our options are limited in what we can eat, so we had their veggie sandwich, croissants, beignets, a cappuccino and a mocha. The food was alright, the beignets are a little messy but delicious.
The ambience is nice and they have both outdoor and street seating. They also sell spice blends and store merchandise.
On our first visit to the cafe, there was a mass shooting down a couple blocks, which was traumatic and scary but luckily we were unharmed. On our next visit we wanted to grab a quick coffee. While there was a long queue, the people at the counter were quick in taking orders and making them ready to go.
Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian options, especially if you are Indian vegetarian.“

“Wonderful wonderful place to have a pastry, speciality coffee, and delicious breakfast! (They also have lunch!) We had some of their speciality coffee, the BearCat breakfast, pastry’s, and the breakfast burrito. So. Good. The whole staff works hard together and I loved the overall experience. Great location, too. The vibe today was fun! We can’t wait to go back.“

“In town for a wedding, tasked to bring fun things for an informal wedding prep event the day before. I’m admittedly a bakery snob, that annoying person that insists the Americans put too much sugar in everything, especially baked goods (yes, the irony is I am also American).
After light research, swung by Levee. Was a tiny bit suspicious because most of the pastries were the size of a small child’s head. Grabbed several classics (pain au chocolate, croissants) and made a last minute call to snag two of their jamon y beurre baguette sandwiches.
Omg. Those sandwiches. Overall everything was a hit but that sandwich…the perfect ratio of salty ham to soft Brie cheese, the acidic bite cornichons, the crusty baguette. Delivered by a lovely woman who gently sang my order (which didn’t know I needed in my life).
I went back every day of the wedding weekend. And just finished the final sandwich at the airport.
Until next time Levee.“

“Found this gem of a spot and what a delicious first meal of our trip! Shrimp taco, steak taco, pork taco, quesadilla- all were SO good! We all left the table satisfied! We sat outside and enjoyed people watching while we ate. The patio was comfortable and had so much to see.“

“This place was fantastic!!! Just a hole In the wall, making you feel almost exclusive! The ciders and mead are not only refreshing, but not as "dry" as you may think. This mead is made with honey and natural ingredients it seems, not and does not taste like water. Unfortunately we didn't get to taste any syrup like sweet meads. The flavors are all tart/dry, and the cheeseboard paired amazingly with our flight. Lastly the owner was super helpful and guided us to some of the best places we have eaten in the city! Super helpful!!! Thank you for an awesome experience.“

“A very dive-bar atmosphere, but with charm. I really enjoyed my time here. The drinks were moderately priced and made with care and consideration. My friend requested a gin drink and the bartender asked her a bunch of questions about her taste preferences and made her a fantastic drink. They have an extremely extensive whiskey selection and have Whiskey Wednesday discounts on all the options. The bartender was super friendly too.“

“We loved it! Such a unique experience hidden away in New Orleans By Water area. It was recommended ny a friend. My dad lived in Germany for 8 years in the 70s, and was excited to see a place that served the food and beer he missed so much. A plus was the outside seating and the beautiful day. Service was great, food was great, and we can’t wait to go back!“

“The Citrus Commander (sour beer) was delightful and the view was amazing! The bartender recommended the shrimp po’boy and it was loaded with nearly 30 pieces of shrimp. The only downside was that the shrimp was so salty by itself that it was almost inedible. I love salt, but it was extremely over seasoned.“

“A nice garden setting in an urban/industrial area. Popular for a reason. They were a little slow on the service the night we went, but honestly, we didn't even notice until they offered free refills of our margaritas as an apology. Class act! Fall/winter/spring recommend since the summer in the swamp is oppressive. Consider to-go when it's hot.“
