“As we were reminded at the end of our meal, this was our 16th time to dine at Atchafalaya. So the bar has been set very high over the years. Our 16th had to rank up with all of our best! Heather Dawn's (HD) service was perfect. Never intrusive, great suggestions, terrific banter- totally spot on! Our choices for apps and dinner were excellent, it's amazing that the quality has never declined at all. The support staff was always there right on time to do whatever was appropriate. The other thing that amazes me is that whenever we dine, the staff always recognizes that we are returning customers. I've NEVER experienced this at any of our finer dining spots. Only at our local hangouts. All in all, another fantastic evening at Atchafalaya! Thanks so much!!!!!!!“

“The sandwich ingredients may sound unconventional, but the sandwiches were really good. We got the fried bologna sandwich and the ham sandwich. The fries and frozen margarita was good too. And despite the name of the establishment, there isn’t a turkey sandwich option lol.“

“Great food great service what else do you need. I ordered the garlic oyster po boy and some chicken and sausage gumbo. both were to die for. Definitely a place to stop if you are in town. it's a little off the path of the French quarter but worth the drive“

“I have been sending people to Bar Tonique for close to a year from my position as liquor vault manager at the Sazerac House. So many return to tell me what a great experience they had & to thank me for recommending it. I have left the position at Sazerac House & won't be sending any more from there, Good luck to all the craftsmen & women behind this truly wonderful place!“

“Cozy ambience with a unique, delicious drink menu. They also offer their kitchen to local food businesses, and the Asian fusion one there when I went was phenomenal. Donavin makes a wonderful drink called “Thank You for Being a Friend” with Louisiana run, almond, passionfruit, and smoky amaro – must try! I was in town for the Home + Garden Show, and Barrel Proof was the perfect unwind!“

“I go to Le Bon Temps often and they have some good music. They also have FREE oysters on Fridays but they go quick so you need to get there early! They have a kitchen that serves food and they have some good burgers here. The bar is divided into 2 main areas with the front being full of pool tables and the back where the bands play. This is usually a really fun bar to watch music until the point that it gets too crowded, which is way too often, but you always have the front area of the bar to escape to.The back area, where the bands play, can just get miserably crowded especially on Thursday nights when bands like the Soul Rebels play (it also is a bad "tradition" that the Soul Rebels NEVER start on time so it is like 12:30 or 1am before they start usually so if you have to work the next day that really is a challenge). There are also some people that take their pool games WAY too seriously in here and I've seen a few fights break out over a stupid game so don't get in those folks way. Parking can sometimes be a bit of a challenge but if you get far enough away you can always find a spot. They usually have pretty quick bar service and I usually prefer the front bar when there is music as it is quicker to get served than fighting the often formidable crowd in the back. There is always an interesting crowd here and there is a special plaque on the bar involving a historical person that I will let you discover yourself (maybe further down in this review even). There always seems to be something going on here when it seems nothing else is anywhere else in the area. Overall this is one of the best classic dive bars and music venues in the entire New Orleans area.FYI: This is yet another of the bars that claims the notoriety of having had Lee Harvey Oswald as a frequent customer. My video review of Le Bon Temps Roule is here:https://youtu.be/wvWXB4W4tvQ“

“10 out of 10, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Allison and Megan were amazing! My family and I (a group of 20+from Chicago) had the opportunity to learn some history of Nola Distillery, the process of creating the liquid goodness of vodka, rum, bourbon, etc., toured the facility, having the pleasure of sampling these AMAZING products (the 1933 coffee Vodka was my favorite, I brought one home with me), but most importantly making great memories as a family.
If you're thinking about going, this is your sign, GO!
A great time was had!
Thank you again, Allison, Megan, and the Nola Distillery family for hosting us!“

“If you're cruising through New Orleans and haven't popped into Erin Rose, you're missing a slice of heaven—specifically, a frosty, boozy slice! Erin Rose’s famous frozen Irish whiskey with a screwball is a game-changer. Imagine the smooth, rich taste of Irish whiskey, blended into a slushy that packs a punch but slides down oh-so-smoothly.
The bar itself is a quirky gem, with an atmosphere that feels like your coolest friend's living room, if your friend has an impeccable collection of random art and photos along with a knack for making everyone feel like a regular. It’s the kind of place where stories are swapped, friendships are forged, and every sip feels like a celebration.
So, if you’re in NOLA and fancy a drink that’s as fun and unforgettable as the city itself, Erin Rose is your spot. Cheers to slushy whiskey goodness and good times with your favorite people and bartenders!“

“Amazing Event Cakes — We had a formal event this weekend for which Bywater provided our cakes. The chocolate peanut butter was to die for. The other cake was not what we ordered but we loved it just the same. If you need a cake for any occasion, we highly recommend Bywater Bakery.“

“The chocolate croissant and cinnamon rolls are amazing!! The cinnamon roll does have a sugar coating instead of a glaze and the dough is more croissant like but it’s a delicious take on cinnamon rolls. The baguette is sour dough which I didn’t realize but still really delicious. The olive flatbread wasn’t my favorite but worth a try. The brownie was chewy in texture but has clumps of some kind of oil (maybe coconut? Not sure) and wasn’t as chocolatey or as fudgey as I like my brownies. Lastly, the chocolate chip cookie is OMG. One of my new favorites and I will be back just for this!!!“

“We went yesterday and the wait was 2 hours. Got there a little earlier today and we got in. I’ve eaten at the Uptown location and was so happy they opened up another one that’s closer. It was my daughter’s first time and she said the food is so good and understands why there is a wait.“

“A smaller brewer off of Tchoup with a unique variety of beer. This must be the nerds brewery because all their beers had some ingredient or flavor that made you go hmmm. They also had made to order seltzers and wine. Being my last stop of the day I stayed light and simple with the rice lager and the golden boi pils. Honestly couldn't pick between them, both would've been perfect for their nice courtyard. They were a little busier than the previous breweries I visited and I actually had a conversation with someone. I had noticed that there were a couple groups following me on my beer adventures and after the third brewery I decided to just introduce myself. We had a good time talking about what we did and didn't like on our tours and other places around the city. We joked around the bartender before we went our separate ways. Unfortunately I had to leave on another adventure as they continued their pub crawl. I wish this place wasn't so far, I'd love to come hangout more often and try some of their other beers.“

“Had a plain bagel, which had a light sea salt laying, which was really exceptional. Great coffee, and exceptional service, such a friendly staff, some of the best in the whole city. Some friendly smiles really go a long way. And super cool coffee cups, reminds me of those cups I used to get while getting coffee in Manhattan. It's a vibe here, and a dollar cheaper for coffee and a bagel than anywhere else.“

“Go to the Rusty Nail for exceptional bourbons, knowledgeable, friendly staff, great prices & excellent service... it's well worth would it takes to find it. Also they have a 25% off whiskey Wednesdays!!! Wife and I happened to get there b4 opening on Wednesday. One of the staff ladies took us around inside to show us what Bourbons they had available. Treated us very very kindly...!!! Went back later after a terrible experience at Barrel proof and we just sat there for about 2 hours and enjoyed ourselves. When we get back to New Orleans we'll be back!!“

“The Citrus Commander (sour beer) was delightful and the view was amazing! The bartender recommended the shrimp po’boy and it was loaded with nearly 30 pieces of shrimp. The only downside was that the shrimp was so salty by itself that it was almost inedible. I love salt, but it was extremely over seasoned.“
