“Brunch is a big deal in New Orleans, and Ruby Slipper is one of the top spots for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. We visited on a Saturday morning and had to wait in line for about an hour. Luckily, they offer a convenient system where you can leave your name and phone number, and they'll text you when your table is ready, allowing you to explore the area in the meantime.Once we were seated, we couldn't wait to dive into their bennies! We started with a classic Bloody Mary, the perfect brunch drink, and then indulged in a variety of eggs benedict options. With choices like pulled pork, fried chicken, and Cajun-style shrimp, we decided to mix and match. Honestly, I couldn't pick a favorite because they were all so delicious! Despite the bustling crowd, the service was quite good, and the ambiance added to the enjoyable experience.“
“My wife and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Morning Call Coffee Stand in New Orleans, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with the tantalizing aroma of freshly made beignets and café au lait. The service was lightning-fast, and despite being a cash-only establishment, we were in and out in no time. The staff members were not only efficient but also had a great sense of humor, adding a playful touch to our morning routine. As for the food, it was simply divine. The beignets were light, fluffy, and dusted with just the right amount of powdered sugar, while the café au lait was rich and creamy, the perfect complement to the sweet treats.Overall, Morning Call Coffee Stand provided us with a memorable breakfast experience that perfectly encapsulated the charm and flavor of New Orleans. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this place is definitely worth a visit.“
“We booked the Airbnb in the same building but we arrived earlier than our check in time. A lady who works here invited us in with our luggage and all while we waited for our room to be ready. She was truly just the friendliest person ever! We were here for a volleyball tournament at the convention center and she too had had daughters who played volleyball in the past and she was just so genuinely happy for us to be here for this. We ate here almost everyday and this place is just the cutest, super clean, friendliest staff place ever!!! I seriously can't recommend this cafe enough!!! My husband couldn't even get over how nice all the staff are in here. The crepes are delicious!!! As well as all the danish treats!!! The almond croissant was one of our favorites as well as the chicken Alfredo mushroom crepe!!! 5/5 stars easily!!!“
“Visiting Nola and we stumbled upon District. All I can say is it did not disappoint! The food and drinks were so delicious. Best cheese grits I have ever had. Our server, Maddie, was so nice and friendly. She was attentive and has a caring personality.“
“We went yesterday and the wait was 2 hours. Got there a little earlier today and we got in. I’ve eaten at the Uptown location and was so happy they opened up another one that’s closer. It was my daughter’s first time and she said the food is so good and understands why there is a wait.“
“I stopped in this morning for a little treat for me my girls at Voodoo Harley-Davidson, I got the chocolate knot, Boudain Boy and the shroom boom and let me just tell you, Y'all put the happy in the "Happy Dance"!!!! Everything was delicious!!! We love you Ayu!!!“
“Best breakfast I’ve ever had. Our family of four arrived on Sunday just before the rush. We ordered the Big Easy Breakfast, the Benedict/sub regular bacon instead of Canadian, and two orders of French Toast. All four plates were wiped clean which is an absolute first for us! Hash browns and Grits are to die for. We ordered a second order of Hash browns. Service was great.“
“Went here all 3 mornings I was in town and this is such a great place. They are so friendly and the food and drinks are very good. I had the salmon egg cup, almond croissant, blueberry crumble croissant and the peach crumble croissant - and they were all great! So glad I found this spot!“
“This was one of the best breakfast places I ate at while I stayed in New Orleans. i cant say enoigh positive things about this restaurant. The food was out of this world and the staff and service was 100/100 stars. Thank you so much for an fantastic food experience ❤️ ---- Lisa and Abby from Ontario, Canada“
“Employees are very nice and friendly! I got the breakfast sandwich and it was a little spicy but definitely had a nice kick to it! My boyfriend also loved the food he got. A cool place to check out if you’re in the area. Super cute and fun. All the games are free to play. Also it’s in the middle of the city so parking space is pretty much nonexistent so be aware. Overall a great place!“
“Excellent ice cream and plenty of flavors from which to choose. My favorite ice cream is rum raisin. Not many places serve this flavor these days, and it is almost impossible to find in grocery stores. Angelo Brocato has an excellent Rum Raisin.“
“Always consistently fresh and healthy. Friendly helpful team members. Our go to place!Vegetarian options: Great options that are substantial and healthy. You won’t leave looking for something missing even if you are an omnivore.Dietary restrictions: These guys are great. Will work with quirks like garlic and onion sensitivity, gf.“
“I really like this place, one of my favorites in town. The service is absolutely fantastic, the teas are great, unfortunately today the key lime pie was not as great as always, the whip cream felt fake (from a can) not fresh and that was disappointing :c I still give them 5 of 5 because we really like the place and hopefully they keep the original quality of the key lime pie“
“Photos and menu on Google Maps were incorrect based upon our visit. At 9am on a Saturday, there were only a few cookies available for food. We were too hungry tod stay for just coffee. Looks like a cute place, but don't rely on the pictures.“
“This place is captivating with the staff, its energy, the welcoming feeling is exuberant. The refreshing appeal the space has is always inviting. The people put so much love and care into their barista skills. I have experience nothing but consistency with my drink. I don’t even have to ask for what I prefer to drink. They know my need as soon as I walk in the door!Kudos, with triple high five for Baldwin and Co!I mean…don’t take my word for it.Go experience it for yourself!“
“Honestly this was the best place I've been in New Orleans and hands down the best juice bar I've ever been to.You can taste the love and passion that is pressed into each bottle of goodness with a vibe that is like no other.Scorch knows how to make you feel at home while Erin has a passion for keeping the mind and body healthy through foods and juices that are jam packed with the antidote we all needed but never knew.I am a person who knows food and I will definitely be putting this on the top all time favorite places to go to get delicious body fuel.Kid-friendliness: Made my kid the best blueberry Granola smoothie with chocolate nibs he loved it“
“It's a magical place! The welcome Tasha gave us was exceptional. She served us with a smile, and she was generous! Plus, the cafe is located in a very nice neighborhood. Super nice, unforgettable experience.Parking: Street locations.Kid-friendliness: Spacious workbench.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to enter the cafe.“
“It is part of the contemporary art museum and, as such, has a super eclectic and very welcoming atmosphere. The music is pleasant, the wifi is excellent and the service is very good. It's a shame that when I went they had almost no pastry options or a broader menu. Nice “
“The food was good and nicely presented. It is cute and quaint. Orders are olaced at the counter, you seat yourself and they find you. I did find it odd I had to ask for syrup. Once I did, a condiment organizer was brought to my table complete with salt and pepper. The dogs with the man sitting at the next table were brought water and then some treats, without saying a word. The patrins were pleasant and conversational, the staff at the cafe were "matter of fact".“
“My best friend and I spent a week in NOLA and we popped into this Cafe randomly for coffee the day we arrived. We've been back every morning since for coffee, tea and breakfast. The baristas are the most amazing and personable crew I've ever met and their drinks AND food are amazing. I would absolutely recommend this above any of the main "tourist" stops. Look for Heidi, Kate or Samuel behind the bar and Orlando in the kitchen. So hard to leave because they feel like family!“
“Very good French sweet shops! We went two times and had vallina, chocolate, mango gelato . And had one chocolate eclair and one macaroon. The quality was so good and definitely have to try it!And also want to share they offer very nice and very clean bathroom here, the waitress was very friendly.“
“Went here once with my dad, have been asking him to take us again. Very nice atmosphere and our drinks arrived fairly quickly. I ordered a hot chocolate and it was honestly one of the best I've ever had, it was very authentic tasting and rich in flavor. Would def reccomend.Kid-friendliness: I can tell you it is pretty kid friendly, they let me have a nice big sticker of their logo for free.“
“A cute little breakfast place with friendly staff with a very creative selection of donuts. Their breakfast sandwiches are, frankly, amazing. I got a turkey sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit. It may sound weird, but the eggs were the best part. They were succulent and creamy and honestly the best eggs I've ever had on a breakfast sammy. The raspberry cheesecake donut was decadent with chunks of crunchy graham cracker crust and a raspberry astride a raspberry iced donut with light, fluffy cheesecake filling. You can also see the entire cook process, with the baking station in the back, The grill station in the middle, and the coffee station up front next to the register by the door. I enjoyed watching them make kolaches while I chomped on my massive donut. They do have a gluten-free option or two, but I didn't ask about cross-contamination. Highly recommend.“
“The food is soooooo good. The best brunch menu in Nola. Tried most things and it always slaps. Service is great.-1 for no reservations and long waits. I have no idea why they don’t give both the overworked hosts and customers a break by having a more streamlined res/waitlist system. Attempting Bearcat on the weekend is a competitive sport. Is it a reverse psychology thing? Like knowing you probably won’t get in so you want it even more? Having waited in the sun for an hour so the mimosas are extra refreshing? Lmk!“
“We noticed this little spot on our way to brunch and made a note to stop by on the way back. The atmosphere is laid back and inviting. This is a wonderful family run establishment that we will continue to visit until we die. I highly recommend the Red Lemonade but everything was delicious!“
“Ironic. We went late in the afternoon, walked right in, and sat down. Other times, we've seen a pretty massive line. The service was extremely fast and friendly. The food was good. Just wear clothes you don't mind getting powdered sugar on. It is inevitable you'll get it on your clothes. As a tourist, it was fun to visit and check off our list. I don't think we'd regularly go back.“
“What a wonderful breakfast and coffee spot. Whether you want to visit to connect with the community or to sit and get some work done, this is the spot.Stop by and try one of their delicious beverages or breakfast items. They are warm and welcoming and the food is amazing!“
“This is a MUST DO if you head to NOLA. it an rainy fun place with great cocktails and the best Gelato concoctions you'll ever have.Parking: It's Siren town NOLA. your best bet is walkingKid-friendliness: Clean Music. Day time great for kids after all it's Gelato!Admittedly, as an adult in NOLA it's nice to be kid free after 7pm . SooooWheelchair accessibility: Easy entry“
“Baby's is a VIBE. Open late? Check. Good music? Check. Coffee, quietness, tea, food, allll the things! Came here to read and vibe around 6:30 pm on a Tuesday and vibe was immaculate to do so. My partner and I really enjoyed the space + definitely plan on coming back here and adding to my nola fav coffee spots. I wish Baby's much success. Truly.“
“Absolutely a great, delicious, and quick! Food was one of kind. MUST try atleast once... Our first time here and we will be back tomorrow morning! The team member behind the counter was friendly and personable.Vegetarian options: Egg and cheese options.“
“WE LOVE UNDERGROWTH COFFEE!They have the best breakfast burritos from California to Louisiana .I am a burrito connoisseur. I have a Hispanic background and I spend way too much money on eating out and have travelled the world.Originally from Southern California and work for a Texas based company, I have had plenty of burritos and none compare to the perfect combination of rosemary potatoes, smoky flavored bacon, savory eggs, sharp white cheddar all wrapped in an herb tortilla. Seriously, I have ordered $100 worth of these burritos at a time so that I can have them multiple days in a row. My girlfriend and I love them and the staff there is wonderful and always accommodating.CZ“
“Hivolt Coffee in New Orleans stands out as not just a coffee shop, but a staple in the local café scene, offering a delightful array of options that cater to the health-conscious without sacrificing taste or portion size. It has quickly become one of my favorite destinations for coffee and more in the city, thanks to its consistently high-quality offerings and welcoming atmosphere. The Oozy Breakfast paired with a latte is my go-to choice, a combination so satisfying that it leaves little desire to explore other options. The dishes here are not only incredibly tasty but are also generous in serving size, ensuring that you leave feeling fully satisfied. The latte, smooth and perfectly balanced, complements any meal choice wonderfully and showcases Hivolt's expertise in coffee making. One of the most commendable aspects of Hivolt is the demeanor of its staff. Every visit is met with kindness and patience, contributing significantly to the overall positive experience. Their approachability and efficiency make each interaction pleasant, from ordering to enjoying your meal and drink. The ambiance of Hivolt is further elevated by its selection of music, which enhances the relaxed and friendly environment. This, combined with the café's ample seating and decently fast WiFi, makes it an ideal spot for those looking to work remotely or simply enjoy a leisurely coffee break. The space is designed thoughtfully, allowing for both productivity and relaxation. In conclusion, Hivolt Coffee offers an exceptional experience for coffee lovers and health food enthusiasts alike. Its blend of delicious, healthy options, excellent coffee, friendly staff, and a conducive environment for work or leisure makes it a must-visit location in New Orleans. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Hivolt promises a welcoming space where quality and satisfaction are guaranteed.“
“Came here for breakfast. I had the catfish bene, but instead of on toast, I had it on a bed of grits and they happily accommodated my request. The fish was absolutely delicious. Light but crunchy and seasoned very well. Can’t wait to come back and try other items on the menu.“
“came here for the first time and staff was so sweet! it’s such a nice atmosphere, feels like a small haven for the local community and the drinks and food were amazing! also, they had initially messed up my drink order. i didnt say anything because i wasnt peeved at all but they came up afterwards, apologized and made me the drink again. 100% recommend if you’re looking for a lil positivity in your day.“
“Even though my mom and I are not "locals," we felt very welcomed and comfortable. The baristas are friendly and engaging. The coffee and specialty beverages are creative and delicious. We will certainly visit again when we're in New Orleans!“
“This is such a cute and calming space. We came in for a couple of evening coffees as most places were closed, and it was so lovely we decided to sit down a little longer and chat with our lovey hostess/barista. I had the Lavender Oatmilk latte, while my friend had the Rose Almond Milk latte. If it wasn't our last day, we probably would have stopped by again to try their mocktails. A sobriety-focused and calming place was such a breath of fresh air from the chaos of the French Quarter.“
“holy smokes the food and cocktails were off the chain! This is the best food we've had while visiting New Orleans so far. If you want tasty, home style cooking that tastes like high quality cuisine without paying a heavy price for it, this is the place. Try all the things. Your taste buds and tummy will thank you.“
“Feels like a neighborhood cafe or coffee shop and may get overlooked but it has the best food of any that we had in New Orleans the last few days. Red beans and rice was superb. Tasso sandwich was new to me and delicious-lots of different flavors on thick grilled bread. And the crawfish mashed potatoes were fantastic. I saw Chef Dwayne (?) making it and he offered a taste. Oh my. Service was warm and personable. Highly recommend.“
“My favorite neighborhood coffee spot. The coffee and pastries are fantastic! Great spot to get some work done or read a book. On weekends, a lot of tour groups meet here so it can be a bit crowded at times but they typically leave fairly quickly and free up seats.“
“OMG the chicken and waffles were to die for!! Be sure to try the potatoes, crispy and great flavor. Pi Boy is huge! Grab a menu and a table then go order. Be patient, it's all made to order. Quite clean, several tables for groups or couples. The people who work here are very nice.“
“These beignets are legit. Pre celiac diagnosis I always loved to eat at Cafe dumonde. Well, forget this being just a good gluten free options, this is a delicious Beignet period. The flakey outer with warm yummy innards was amazing. I did not get gluttoned. Delicious above the rest.“
“We went in Sunday morning and we were limited on time. Haley was super great and got us out quickly. So we went back on Monday and had a great time. Haley was our waitress again, I can’t say enough about her, when you go to the Red Slipper ask for her.Now for the food. The beignets come out fresh out of the fryer and are so good, this is one that you shouldn’t pass up. The grits and cheese are delicious, one of the best grits I’ve had. (I grew up in north East Tennessee eating grits)Biscuits and gravy, what can be said about this classic? Well you can say freshly baked biscuits smothered in sausage gravy, that will make you wish you could have them everyday. The bacon is perfectly cooked and the applewood smoke is just the right amount. The fried green tomatoes are cut to the perfect thickness and the cornbread coating is just the right thickness, then fried to perfection.I can’t finish this without mentioning the coffee, they have a blend made just for the Red Slipper and it is so good.As you can tell I’m very impressed with this place and you will be too. Between the staff and the food this place will become one of your favorite restaurants.“
“Good biscuit, delicious French Toast, and sweet fresh fruit. Was looking forward to coming back, but I was told they will only serve pastries, SMH. Its NOLA, we love to eat good cooked food, create an environment and experience for all types of customers.“
“Quite possibly the best breakfast I have ever had...Boudin Benedict with a sweet tomato relish on top. The muffin was perfectly toasted and although the boudin could have been spicier (personal preference) it was amazing. My eggs were perfectly poached as well. Yum! ⚜️ Josh had Creole grits and beignets which he loved.“
“If you walk just a little past the park, you'll find this wonderful coffee house with excellent sandwiches. I got a gigantic turkey croissant sandwich with extra meat for about $11 (even without extra meat, it would have been enough at $8).I would recommend trying this place out.“
“Love, love love this coffee bar. It's super small and local that's a one man team run by the owner. I've had 3 different coffees from this shop and each was delicious but my favorite is the Mexican Vanilla Latte. Highly recommend if you want something located down a cute alley and not too busy. That said, the wait is worth it.“
“This shop is delightful! The pies are stellar, from sweet to savory. We visited from KC and stayed across the street, were able to visit a few times. The hand pies are insanely good, unlike anything we have at home, unfortunately! We bought several mini-pies to take to a family dinner and all were a huge hit. The owners are great. Thank you!“
“We spent a few nights at the hotel above Dovetail and frequented Dovetail during our stay, and it was great! The drinks were fantastic (gotta shout out the Espresso Martinis on tap) and the atmosphere was wonderful (bar-side seating always made for fun conversations). A special shout out to all the bartenders who took care of us, Andy and Max, you all were fantastic!“
“I've always heard that New Orleans is known for their good food and this place lives up to the hype! We are visiting from Kentucky and wanted some local new orleans brunch. We lucked up and found Up and Adam and when I tell you...probably (top 5) best food I've tasted in my 41 years. Literally, everything was top tier and to top it off, the ambiance and customer service was outstanding as well. Every time I visit New Orleans, I will be returning. I highly recommend!“
“The beignets were delicious. They have coffee with regular milk only. For people who don’t tolerate milk, you will have to drink your coffee black. When I arrived there was a long line. After I got in, I noticed there was another entrance on the other side. As you see the main establishment facing the street, the main line is on the right, the other entrance is on the left and no one was making a line. When you come in just find a table and sit down, don’t worry about it being with dirty plates and empty coffee cups from past clients. Someone will come and clean it up. They get upset if you clean up. They will take your order and bring it to the table. They accept cash only.“
