“Have been a District fan since they first opened 10 years ago, we always make a point to stop in for our favorite NOLA breakfast—a miso praline bacon egg and cheese biscuit and a hot chicken and honey butter biscuit—when we’re in town. This time, we got in line before 11a but given a tour arrived just in front of us we didn’t make it to the register until 11:10, at which time we were told breakfast was no longer being sold. The woman in front of us had just ordered breakfast, so we questioned this, but the cashier was impatient and stood by that he would only be serving us lunch. We still enjoyed the chicken sandwich and sopapilla donut we had, but were sad that an exception couldn’t be made.“
“Every beer we tried was delicious. Cocktails were much better than expected for a brewery. The food also blew us away. Possibly best chicken I've ever had. Sure it's not an easy walk from the Bourbon Street festivities, but catch an Uber from a main street and it'll be a nice change of pace that is definitely worth it.“
“This little cafe that is attached to the LA Children’s Museum is a great spot for a quick bite or snack or a full lunch. They have a good menu of sandwiches and salads. Their pastry counter is my favorite though, can’t leave without a homemade pop tart or a delicious cinnamon roll ?“
“We had the Creole Queen beignets, fries, and warm apple beignets, they were delicious! The next day we went back for the Creole Queen grits. Oh my gosh ya'll, they are the best grits I've had, buttery, melt in your mouth goodness!!“
“Stopped here for lunch today. Had a Truth Burger and chilli chese fries. The Burger was seasoned and delicious. I didnt care for the chilli on the fries.. Also had a rootbeer float which was delicious. My wife had the Uptown burger. Also very delicious. The Onion rings are to die for. Seasoned and battered to perfect.“
“Stumbled upon this place, and we were pleasantly surprised. The "gentleman" that greets and ultimately seats you can be a bit abrasive but it can be overlooked as the food is no fuss awesomeness! Burgers and such cooked as you wait and everything we had “
“I love the high hat café. Sometimes there's a wait but it's always worth the wait. Service is always efficient and pleasant and the food selections are always spot on. I had the shrimp Poboy, and the grilled shrimp were fantastic, not overcooked nicely flavored and seasoned. The coleslaw was delicious and fresh and crispy. I always try to take my out-of-town guest to high hat Café, because the food is always delicious and the service excellent.“
“This place has character. From the moment you walk up to the build, to the memes on the wall. I got the mushroom bacon Swiss and it lived up to my expectations completely. The price isn't bad either. I'd eat here anytime it gets suggested by friends.Vegetarian options: They have an impossible burger version of their burgers. Not everyone's cup of tea, but they are attempting to be inclusive.“
“Stopped by this burger joint on a whim and wow, was I blown away! The burger was the star of the show – perfectly greasy, in the best way possible, with a flavor that just wouldn't quit. Every bite was a juicy delight. The service matched the quality of the food – friendly and on point. The atmosphere? Just the right mix of laid-back. If you're looking for a burger that satisfies in all the right ways, this is the place. Can't wait to go back! Definitely a NOLA Jem. Lastly sounded like the owner was trying to feed his employees after a long night, that means more to me than any good meal. An owner that respects his employees is 5 stars and deserves repeat customers!! Try this place you won’t be disappointed“
“The food was fast and amazing!! However the server, Joan B. Insisted that she get her tip prior to serving the food. We bought drinks and food and she indicated that she gets her tips upfront. Once we received our food she then tapped my family member on the shoulder and said don't forget her tip. She then told another customer that she doesn't serve drinks for free or without a tip and Insisted that we wouldn't tip. However, we still tipped but her service and attitude was unprofessional. She talked herself out of a tip that could have been more but oh well.“
“Excellent food, beautiful atmosphere and the service was top tier! We were the last out the restaurant, past closing time and they were beyond polite allowing us to finish our meals. I had the crawfish poorboy with fries...AMAZING!!! I tasted the red beans and rice which were so delicious! I will definitely go ahead once I go to New Orleans again.“
“I have to say that the fish tacos were delicious. Sat outside on a beautiful, sunny, pleasant afternoon while working. Great service. Will go back. Have already mentioned to a few friends who enjoy tacos. Didn't try the burgers, but I will try that next time I go.“
“Food ALWAYS hits!!I've had almost every burger and every chicken sandwich and every salad..Favorites repeats were the hot chicken sandwich and Cobb salad pictured here.Bartenders all friendly, I only have 30 minutes for lunch so I like to call ahead so it will be ready but if you come at an off peak time you should be golden.“
“Stopped by Beachcorner last night. It was very busy and a little loud. There was a little wait for the food because it was only two gentlemen working which was totally understandable. There was one guy cooking the food and making drinks lol the great part was the customer service. These guys had a system set up and both worked well together. No matter how busy it would get, everyone was given great customer service and both gentlemen smiled the entire time. The burgers were good just not seasoned enough. Lol We still enjoyed everything. My friend ended up ordering more burgers to go. It was her first time. Thank you to the gentleman for making my green tea shot ?“
“I’ve been coming to Original Thought for almost a year now and every visit is a 10/10. ?? The owner is always so so kind & thoughtful with our food & requests & it’s just such a nice environment to go for good food & a friendly experience ??“
“The wings aren't that good to me anymore, but that bbq burger. Best in the city. It's so good.12/15/23 update: so, I retried the wings and OMG. They were bomb, just make sure to tell the cashier to fry the wings crispy. That was game changing.“
“Best food in New Orleans. I come home once a year with my wife and I got to stop at Vucinovich's for a bite to eat. You can tell the place is always clean and the food is always good, unlike other fast food place which always makes me sick. I was born and raised in new Orleans, now living in San Antonio after Katrina. Man I wish I could pick this place up and take it back to Texas with me cause the food is so good. 9/22/23 until next I be back, hope y'all still there.“
“The restaurant is clean, and the service is amazing and fast. The food is slways blazing hot and fresh. Better than finger licking good!! I have never cleaned a chicken bone, but I do now at Wings Up. Best chicken. Prices are very reasonable.Parking: Large off highway parking lot.“
“In town for convention and grabbed red beans and rice with ribs. Ribs were hot, fresh, and smoked to perfection. 'Homemade' style red beans and rice' Hit the spot on a spring day. That was a $40 rack of ribs anywhere easy. $15 was a steal and I sat on a park bench and just savored every bite. Some A+ cooking and smoking going on in that truck“
“This is a great spot in NOLA! Hallie and Dominique are amazing! Hallie makes some of the best drinks I've had! This place was so phenomenal that I came back again just because of the positive energy and grateful and drinks and wonderful customer service given by the bartender! This is really a gem of a place! Leave. The man have a seat and don't forget to tip your bartender!“
“This is not the Shake shack that we have experienced elsewhere in the country. This restaurant is upscale. To us, the menu offerings seemed aimed at the younger generation. I had a shake shack plus mushroom burger, she had chicken tenders. We both had fries. Mine were plain, hers were cheese and bacon loaded. Our food was tasty, but different. Portions seemed small compared to the prices. We both had milkshakes, which again seems small for the rice. But we left, I’m hungry.“
“Best burger I’ve had in the city. Lots of competition now, but I keep coming back to company burger because they are consistent and have plenty of seating. The only thing I don’t care for is their fries, but the tots with cheese and onion rings are absolutely incredible.“
“I really wanted the fried catfish and fried shrimp combo but the young man at the register told me they didnt have it anymore. After we ate the Manager came by our table and I told him that. I guess I got bad info from the cashier? Anyway the chicken parm was ok. It just wasnt what I really wanted.“
“Parking: I work across the street at Tulane sometimes and they let us park there for free. It's so very helpful and convenient to not have to fund parking, pay for parking ,or have to walk far to get to work. Thank you guys for all your help and consideration! Much appreciated ?“
“Best place to enjoy a Fabulous Blues Jam. Danny Alexander, the Jam host and great musician in his own right, really attracts wonderful musicians from all over the world. Bar food is not so great and don't expect fancy cocktails. Friendly and fun dive bar with a cast of characters.“
“Updating feb 2024:Still beyond delicious food. Fantastic staff. The Blarney Stone Burger is everything I could ever dream of asking for on a burger that serves for any meal.Whatever genius came up with corned beef hash, egg, and tomato on a burger with all the other standard ingredients is a legend! We had an amazing waitress, who was unfortunately working on Christmas Eve, but she still had a great attitude and really made the entire experience a great one. The food was unique and very very tasty! Grew up in NOLA and this was my first ever time trying out Shimmy Shack, but I will definitely be back to try more.We had the remoulade shrimp and fried green tomato poboy and the New Orleans style bbq shrimp poboy. Both were mouthwateringly delicious!“
“First time! Stepped out of the car and you can smell the seasoning like your mom and grandma's kitchen would smell. I was excited, thinking to myself this is going to be great! I ordered the breakfast platter, $2.99, came with grits, eggs, bacon and toast. It was enough for me to share! It was GREAT!! Met my expectations and more! I will be back!!“
“Great options, including many different tacos and fixings plus queso and guac was delish! Highly suggest anything that included the caramelized pineapple! Great heat on the buffalo soldier and buffalo shrimp as well. Not to mention it's located inside a brewery with wide selection and great atmosphere. Games, music, tv, patio and indoor seating. Service was promoted and friendly.“
“Came here on our trip to NOLA and heard that we needed to go to AJ’s Jazzy Grill. The food was delicious and did not disappoint and I feel like we did not spend that much for how much we ordered. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!“
“Pretty dang good, the best hole in the wall you can find in New Orleans!!! I normally get the spicy chicken fillet and man, it blows my Tom and Jerry socks off of my feet. Gonna have to take my nieces and nephews here once they come and visit with me. So glad I came here, after I ate, I went home and did my Indian traditional dance because I was so happy!!!!! Make sure you guys come here, or else I will tell the Grinch to steal your next dinner.✅FIVE STARS!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️?Wheelchair accessibility: They have a cool ramp for my disabled dog.“
“Never even knew this place was back there, and I thought if the food is half as good as the pictures look….and yall this might be my new favorite Nola spot. Can’t recommend enough. Def gonna come back and try the pasta. (Got the bourbon black out burger and the sweet heat wings.)“
“I had a great meal. That jambalaya was amazing and I paid extra to add shrimp. The corn bread was decent but too much for 1 person. I thought price was fair for the main. Cool spot stayed for a little music. Service was phenomenal, as I had a gem of a server and a bunch of laughs. Made the meal even better.“
“Absolute go to spot in Nola, good rotating draft menu & drink options - coming from a local! Ashley, Ashton, Zane, Conner, these folks are top notch bar tenders! Not to mention the food is great JP & Justin have the kitchen rockin’ especially the wings with homemade blue cheese on the side. 5 Star all the way!“
“BEST CHICKEN SALAD IN THE CITY!!!! This chicken salad is consistently good! I've ordered it like 20 times. It always tastes the same and it is absolutely delicious. It taste better than yours and ya maws! PLUS they give you crackers!!! and the paprika on the top be fiya!!!“
“Uh...dang!...what took me so long? Maybe the limited hours but wow! Finally a burger I can call my own and recommend to coworkers. I will say between this and Commerce around the block, this one has the slight edge plus has a bit more room to get into place during lunch. Super nice folks. Cool atmosphere. Can't wait to do the Reuben and many others. Gonna be hard to get past the Cooperstown burger tho!“
“I have been hearing so much about this place, because my nephew (@Bruce Tompson) always bragging about it. So today I had the time to check it out and I was definitely not disappointed! I am a firm believer in supporting Black Own Businesses and I have to admit that some times it's not worth the headache but Tasty Treat is the Bomb. I had the Shrimp Alfredo pasta and added a piece of grilled fish on top of it. It was soo flavorful and just melted in my mouth. I purchased an additional bread stick because it was so soft and moist that I ate it before I finished half of my fish. The Crawfish Juice is so delicious. I will most definitely return this week to try something else. I highly recommend this place not only because it's Black Own but because of the quality of the food and it is very affordable.“
“Lucky's is my go to neighborhood bar when in uptown New Orleans. One can spend a good time watching the streetcar and folks go by while enjoying reasonably priced beer or a stiff cocktail. I didn't eat there, but they used to serve a mean burger!“
“Myself and a pal dined in for the thin fried catfish, a meal I call straight out of heaven. The garlic fried potatoes were totally dynamite. Deep South cooking at its best. The food and beverage server was very kind and efficient to our every need. A great atmosphere of homeiness.“
“Got some food to go on my first visit. I freaking already forgot the name of the burg I got, but want to say Bomb burger...anywho, it was delicious. Slaughtered once I got home. While waiting, I found the atmosphere quite appealing. Friendly service and very comfortable to hang “
“I have always been a fan of HRC, however, I must admit that the food I had at this place was pretty average. The hickory style meat that had so much fame and quality was missing. Now, the attention is excellent and that is greatly appreciated. The ambient is very good. At least the essence remains.“
“This place had amazing food! They appeared to be short staffed. If you could get the attention of someone they were very nice. But, I stood at the bar for 10 mins for a refill and gave up getting anyone’s attention. My husband did the same to try and order dessert, and gave up. Several others came in, tried to get a menu or order at the bar, and gave up and left. The cooks had all their caffeine though, those were the best burgers etc. we’ve had in years and had them in a timely manner!“
“I bought 20 dollars worth of these greasey burgers and passed out. I woke up the next day and hadn't eaten any of it. Grease soaked all the way through the bag, got up and went back out on bourbon street to do it all over again. Nola remains undefeated ?“
“Such a charming cafe from the staff, the murals and the food. I had the patty melt and must say it was the best burger I've had in the city. It was cooked perfectly. I love the story behind this place too. Everyone should check it out! Thank you staff for being rock stars!“
“This place deserves more publicity and appreciation in NoLa.The food was hands down one of the best vegan food I have had in the US thus far. Very courteous staff, the chef is polite and makes you feel welcomed. Flavorful, balanced spices and ALL VEGAN. Must try if you're in the area. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal! They deserve all the success.“
“Atmosphere and people very cordial..Food good , but portion very skimpy...I ordered an omelet and got no bread. When the cook brought the omelets out , I asked for bread ; he brought some he had grilled. As I said , lovely place , but not the place to go if you are hungry.“
“Bartender Tim was awesome! Took a large crowd in stride and helped everyone efficiently. At one point; he had two glasses in one hand to make two drinks at once. Remembered our orders from the last time we came in. Made awesome recommendations for local activities! He is the reason we will be back!“
“SOME OF THE BEST CAJUN FOOD IVE EVER EATED THERE YUMMY THE CLASSIC CATFISH IS GOOD AND THE FRIES WITH CAJUN SEASONING ALSO THE CAJUN BEANS ARE REALLY GOOD. ALSO IF YOUR LIKE MORE BAYOU TYPE FOODS INSTEAD OF SEA FOOD ASK FOR THE SPICY SHRIMP GUMBO ALSO THE STAFF IS WHITE CAJUNS AND IT IS A TRADITIONAL CAJUN RESTAURANT ONE OF THE BEST I KNOW“
“A nice sunny day & we were able to enjoy their outdoor seating. Perfect spot for people-watching! Our server was spectacular! Attentive and friendly. Our food was delicious! We had a shrimp poboy... I'm not sure anyone in the FQ can mess up a poboy, but the best are made with the freshest of bread & this place has it nailed! Nice, cold beers. Clean restrooms. Definitely will recommend & plan to visit again!Update: still my favourite place to sit outside, enjoy a cold beer & soak up the sights & sounds & aromas of The FQ! Friendly & responsive staff! Cleanest restrooms in The Quarter... even had some nice fragrant high-end hand soap at the sink! Flambo is always on my to-do list when in The FQ, NOLA. They seem to close up sharply at 5, so plan to visit for brunch, lunch or afternoon snack.“
“The food is fresh and fried perfectly. I had the stuffed shrimp which had a delicious stuffing , my hubby had the shrimp ,oyster boat. The only improvement could be the fries they needed to be crispier and a little more flavorful. Its priced the same as any typical seafood restaurant“
“Such great food and drinks! Always a good time! Had a Port Of Call and a Goombay punch for drinks! Don't plan on driving after! Lol Best burgers in NOLA!! If they could improve anything I'd say it could use an extra bathroom stall!“
