“This was our first trip to New Orleans. I asked a friend from Louisiana where we should go to eat. Top of the list was Parkway Bakery & Tavern and she was not wrong! First walking in and the server asked if we’ve ever been before and when we said no she got so excited and said she was excited for us and in for a real treat! The place is historic and the food amazing. The gumbo was stellar and the po boy sandwiches were amazing. Such a great experience. Food was delicious. Would definitely make a return visit if we ever come back to New Orleans!“

“Great live music place that I was recommended to go to during a bayou tour. Glad I came! I was here on a conference alone and there was a spot for me at the bar and the bartender was the best! I didn't get her name but really everyone was so friendly from the door security to all the staff inside. $10 cover but reasonable prices on drinks.“
“Thanks to helpers, we came here for our very first stop. Yes, the ambiance is local and dive bar-like BUT man this place is the best. We came during their 10-2 daily drink specials ranging from $3-$5.. I enjoyed the Bloody Mary, the Screw Driver and some generously poured shots. The wife over indulged in their famous Ftozen Irish Coffee drinks ($3). For an extra $6, the really friendly bar server will pour you a generous shot. We snagged a bar seat and sat here for a few hours. It's the place to be and yes, it's an Irish bar.“
“We loved this place so much while vacationing in New Orleans that we went 2 nights in a row! The Blue Bacon Fries are seriously addicting! The blackened shrimp Alfredo was so good I ate every bite and it was a large portion. It's a must!“
“Immersed in the heart of the New Orleans experience since 1974, Molly's at the Market stands as an enduring cornerstone, drawing in a diverse crowd and becoming the preferred destination for locals reconnecting with visiting friends.strategically located on lower Decatur, Molly's serves not only as a convenient pit stop for those en route to or from the music clubs on Frenchmen Street but also as a haven where patrons happily extend their stay for hours on end. This establishment is a beacon of laid-back ambiance and exceptional service, effortlessly embracing simplicity in its cocktail offerings. While Molly's tantalizes taste buds with affordable concoctions, it predominantly remains a beer and chaser haven, boasting an impressive selection of local brews on draught. As the cherished old bar of the neighborhood, Molly's sets the stage for an unforgettable experience. With taps flowing well into the wee hours of the morning, it guarantees a classic New Orleans watering hole adventure, ensuring that anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable time will find it within the welcoming embrace of Molly's at the Market.“
“Had an event here on Feb 27th for a group of about 70. The space was decorated wonderfully for Mardi Gras and the staff did everything they could to make the event a success. The food was great and there was plenty of it . We will be back ! Thank you Bamboulas!“
“I went fearful of what I could find, I was looking for Mexican food and I found this oasis, I'm from Houston Tx and never thought I would find the best birria at this place, service was excellent and price very affordable, ambiance was excellent, the place is super nice.“
“From the moment you step into Chemin à la Mer, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of refined elegance. The restaurant's stunning riverfront location provides breathtaking views of the Mississippi River, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. But the true star of Chemin à la Mer is its exquisite cuisine. The menu features a delightful array of French-inspired dishes, each prepared with meticulous attention to detail and bursting with flavor. My personal favorite was the quiche, which is undoubtedly the best I've ever tasted. The buttery crust, the velvety custard, and the perfectly cooked bacon harmonized in a symphony of textures and flavors that left me speechless. Our server, Mandy, was an absolute delight. Her warm smile, attentive service, and genuine enthusiasm for the restaurant's offerings made us feel welcomed and valued. She expertly guided us through the menu, providing insightful recommendations and ensuring that our every need was met with utmost care. The other breakfast items we sampled were equally impressive. The omelets were fluffy and flavorful, the pancakes were light and airy, and the fresh fruit was impeccably ripe and juicy. Each dish was a testament to the chef's culinary expertise and commitment to using only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. To top off our exceptional dining experience, our daughter received the utmost attention from Mandy. With her engaging personality and genuine love for children, Mandy made our daughter feel special and entertained throughout our meal. Her kindness and attentiveness were a true reflection of the restaurant's commitment to providing exceptional service to all its guests. Thank you, Mandy, for making our experience a lovely & memorable one.“

“Very cool atmosphere, super friendly staff, slightly disappointed with our cake selections. They weren't bad, but $30 for cake and coffee... I expected it to knock my socks off. Should have listened to the waitress' recommendations.“
“We stopped in this tiny bar to take a break from walking. When I say tiny, I mean it! There were 2 high top tables and seating at the bar, but that was it! However, the cocktails were delicious, the bartender (I can't remember her name but she had short red hair) was super sweet and helpful and recommended an absolutely delicious drink- Going Pear Shaped. It had gin, pear rosemary honey, lemon, and ginger beer. It was bright and refreshing! My husband also enjoyed his drink. We heard a pretty nice jazz trio while we were in there. Definitely check them out if you prefer smaller, quieter settings!“
“Insanely good pub grub with an amazing selection of beer. If you want something not on tap, then ask for their reserve list for the fancy bottles in the fridge. For those visiting and driving an EV there is a free charge point charger two blocks away near a park.“
“First time dining at Burbon Heat. We sat outside and it was perfect. Try the Bang Bang Shrimp! Just do it. I had chicken and sausage Gumbo with red beans and rice and a boudin egg roll. I didn't care to much for the red beans. It was a flavor issue. The Gumbo and the boudin egg roll stole the show. My friend had the same dish as myself but she had the fried fish. Omg when I tell you it was seasoned and fried to absolute perfection. I will definitely be stopping in on my next trip to NO.“
“I thoroughly enjoy my experiences at Cooter Brown's Tavern. During my recent visit – not my first – I indulged in their delicious fried oysters, which were simply outstanding. Additionally, their fried fish and cheese fries surpassed my expectations. The service was prompt and welcoming, contributing to the establishment's laid-back atmosphere. Undoubtedly, Cooter Brown's Tavern ranks among my favorite spots in New Orleans.“
“Don’t be fooled by appearances! It looks like you just stepped back in time, but the food, drinks, and service are of this century! The burger was fresh and tasted like it was freshly grilled. The drinks are great. And the servers are very friendly. I have the tendency of judging establishments by their appearance- I’m glad I gave this place a shot!! It was top notch!Kid-friendliness: We were able to dine in with our 15 year old daughter.“
“Go to the Rusty Nail for exceptional bourbons, knowledgeable, friendly staff, great prices & excellent service... it's well worth would it takes to find it. Also they have a 25% off whiskey Wednesdays!!! Wife and I happened to get there b4 opening on Wednesday. One of the staff ladies took us around inside to show us what Bourbons they had available. Treated us very very kindly...!!! Went back later after a terrible experience at Barrel proof and we just sat there for about 2 hours and enjoyed ourselves. When we get back to New Orleans we'll be back!!“
“Came on Tuesday, not very crowded. Heard they'd won a lot of awards. Well, it is good. Very good. The salad can feed 4 or more. Each Arepas is generous, not really meant to be cut in half and shared, as is our habit. My wife and I often say, I'm torn between A & B, (I'm torn between B & A), so we order both & switch partway through. Amusing sometimes seeing the faces on the wait staff. No Manhattans. Cachasa or Rum cocktails here.Apparently there was recent road repaving causing parking issues. We parked 20 feet to the door, no problem.“
“Outstanding jazz band/lounge singer on the night I visited plus well-made traditional New Orleans cocktails. Hard working bartenders curved out a ton of complicated drinks quickly. I loved the whole experience. This was the traditional upscale jazz club I was looking for on my trip to the jazz capital of the world.“
“I love Café Negril. I only did 4 stars, though, because the drinks are a bit overpriced and the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, however.... the atmosphere is amazing, the music is great and the tacos are delicious! I will return for sure!“
“Cozy ambience with a unique, delicious drink menu. They also offer their kitchen to local food businesses, and the Asian fusion one there when I went was phenomenal. Donavin makes a wonderful drink called “Thank You for Being a Friend” with Louisiana run, almond, passionfruit, and smoky amaro – must try! I was in town for the Home + Garden Show, and Barrel Proof was the perfect unwind!“
“vaughan's is always a great place to grab drink after work. this was an after work stop for bday drinks for a friend/co-worker. it's was an excellent night. lot's of great discussions about oddball topics?so yeah, we had a blast. bday drinks after work was an excellent plan, and vaughans was the perfect place for that to happen.“
“Hits and missesGood: loaded Korean fries, brussel sprouts, Sad Boy cocktailDo not get the mushroom pho if you have any expectations of it tasting like pho. Deeply needed salt, the mushrooms and noodles were all wrong, and not a bok choy to be found.“
“The best neighborhood bar I’ve ever been to, it’s a great community, everyone is very welcoming. A lot of neighborhood spots you walk in and it’s like the record skips and everyone turns around. Not Pete’s! Speaking of records they have a vintage jukebox with great broad selection. It’s old school, nobody paying extra to skip ahead of you, no one playing the same Drake song on repeat. Drinks are very affordable with a modest but well rounded selection. They have pop ups most days it seems so if your hungry there’s usually a food option. Word to the wise if it seems locked it’s just cause you gotta get buzzed in. Be patient, it’s worth it!“
“These Po' Boys are THE best! We ate here 10 years ago and I did a little research to locate it so we could go again. Husband got the roast beef Po' boy and I got the fried oyster. OMG delish. Worth the Uber and the price of the food. Highly recommend. Met the owner and told him and he was so thankful and humble.“
“It’s been many years since I dined at Bayona, and I’m pleased to say they haven’t missed a beat. The food was delicious, and a welcome change from the ever present bowls of gumbo and Po boys that dominate the Quarter. Spicer’s James Beard medal still hangs on the wall near the entrance and it’s a well placed testament to this very fine dining experience.Peter and the rest of the staff were old school in the best possible way; their service was top notch. If you’re thinking about where to eat while in New Orleans, make one night a Bayona night!Vegetarian options: The butternut squash entree was delightful for my vegetarian companion.“
“Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar in New Orleans is a must-visit for history buffs and bar enthusiasts alike. As the oldest bar in America, it exudes charm and character. I had a delightful time sipping on a whiskey and ginger with my Momma while soaking in the unique ambiance. The dim lighting, old-world decor, and cozy atmosphere transport you back in time. It's the perfect spot to unwind and immerse yourself in the rich history of New Orleans.-Marisa Balletti-Lavoie“
“The Chandelier Bar is the most beautiful hotel bar downtown. Okay, there are a few places that will give it a run for its money, but this has got to be among the best. The drinks are also 5-star, perfect concoctions, every time. If only it were easier to get to and to park, I would give it six stars...“
“Best "hole-in-wall" place to catch live music uptown (other than Tips). Grab a beer at the bar and watch music within a few feet of the artists at this Oak Street bar. This area is an easy decision with Jacquimo's nearby restaurant to round out an evening of excellence -- legit New Orleans food followed by authentic music, an up-town affair. This is a super low key place. If you're worried about your clothing or hair, you're on the wrong mental note. Nobody will see you or care, they are there for the music.“
“If you visit NOLA you must visit the Blue Nile. The club is on Frenchman Street. The atmosphere is awesome. The downstairs is live music with a mixed crowd of age and races. The staff is A1, service and drinks are great. The owner is a sweetheart and clearly loved and respected by patrons and staff. I was there to celebrate my 50th. My travel companion and I were treated like Queens. That’s not all, upstairs was Jamaica night. Let’s just say another great mixed crowd with great music and great vibes! Needless to say this is the only club I need to visit when I’m in New Orleans. Do yourself a favor and check the Blue Nile out, you won’t be disappointed!!!“
“Have been a Chart Room patron for many years. It's pretty much a plain ol' bar with great juke box and veteran bartenders serving typically strong and inexpensive drinks. About half locals, half out-of-town visitors, most of the out-of-towners being frequent NOLA visitors. At one time I suspected that a few of the regular characters were sent over by Central Casting, but have been going there long enough to now know they're genuine. A recent ownership change, but based on my last visit, no discernible (to me) change.“
“Take out- friendly, prompt service Creole wings- plump, juicy, flavorful, not usually a wing eater but loved these Jerk chicken on bun- spicy, peppery, soft bun, loved it, i added habanero bbq sauce i had at home- it needed sauce. Fries- Excellent, house-made Loved the decor, seating on patio and out front, friendly neighborhood vibe Clean bathroom“
“If you're considering booking here, stop thinking and just do it! Everything at Royal Street Inn is top-notch, from the warm, accommodating customer service to the impeccable decor and fantastic location. The staff here is so nice I just can't get over it... We have stayed at many different hotels in New Orleans, but Royal Street is it for us. I can't wait to go back!“
“Sometimes you wonder about these viral places, and I can confirm they’ve earned every bit of those glowing reviews. The fried pickles appetizer, so were the PoBoys. Can’t remember the last time I’ve had shrimp that good. And the fried pickles were bursting with flavor. Service is awesome, people are friendly.“
“After walking for hours, I chilled at the bar. First up, quenched my thirst with the Frozen Pomagranite Mojito. Worth the brain freeze. I had the Superior Oysters and the crawfish beignets. Excellent! Pricey, but seafood always is. Bartender very attentive.“
“You MUST try the wings. Loved the BBQ and Garlic Parmesan was delicious. Want to go back soon and try the Bourbon Seafood Roll. Kitchen open 11:30 to 2?am. Went after Chewbacchus parade while waiting on a ride and couldn't have been better timing. Even got to meet the great Tyrone Hughes.“
“I go to Le Bon Temps often and they have some good music. They also have FREE oysters on Fridays but they go quick so you need to get there early! They have a kitchen that serves food and they have some good burgers here. The bar is divided into 2 main areas with the front being full of pool tables and the back where the bands play. This is usually a really fun bar to watch music until the point that it gets too crowded, which is way too often, but you always have the front area of the bar to escape to. The back area, where the bands play, can just get miserably crowded especially on Thursday nights when bands like the Soul Rebels play (it also is a bad "tradition" that the Soul Rebels NEVER start on time so it is like 12:30 or 1am before they start usually so if you have to work the next day that really is a challenge). There are also some people that take their pool games WAY too seriously in here and I've seen a few fights break out over a stupid game so don't get in those folks way. Parking can sometimes be a bit of a challenge but if you get far enough away you can always find a spot. They usually have pretty quick bar service and I usually prefer the front bar when there is music as it is quicker to get served than fighting the often formidable crowd in the back. There is always an interesting crowd here and there is a special plaque on the bar involving a historical person that I will let you discover yourself (maybe further down in this review even). There always seems to be something going on here when it seems nothing else is anywhere else in the area. Overall this is one of the best classic dive bars and music venues in the entire New Orleans area. FYI: This is yet another of the bars that claims the notoriety of having had Lee Harvey Oswald as a frequent customer. You can go to YouTube and search for NOLA Gent to see my video on Le Bon Temps Roule!“
“I had the most spectacular time at this bar in New Orleans! The jazz band playing was phenomenal, they had me grooving and dancing all over the place. They really had us having a good time. Their vibes were fantastic, the music was so good, and the band members were funny and, their vibes really did transmit over into the crowd. Loved my experience at this bar!“
“We stopped in to have a drink and a light bite. Our waitress was also the bartender, she told us to sit where we wish so we chose a table inside but by the patio area. There were two other couples dining there at the time as it was after lunch but before happy hour. After a few minutes she came by with a menu and asked us if we wanted to start with a drink. Since we just got the menu we asked for a few minutes to see what they had before making a decision. She came back 15 minutes later to take our order. We had the swamp balls (including fried gator bites) which were mushy and not particularly flavorful. It is a neat atmosphere, it wasn’t a great day but I imagine sitting on the patio on a nice day would be phenomenal. The price was very reasonable, for two drinks and an appetizer it was less than $25.Parking: Plenty of free parking.Kid-friendliness: Very child friendly, including a game room off the dining area.“
“Went to this spot randomly while visiting NOLA. Place is sick with cheap drinks and cool atmosphere. I don't recall there being any food but I did go after dinner so wasn't looking for any. Staff was approachable and friendly. It feels like a bunch of spots we have back in Ybor back in Tampa. I would definitely come back here next time I visit!“
“Wonderful vibe and music. Live music and karaoke/haircut night is the best. The owner and bartenders are genuine and committed to the community, and this is my favorite neighborhood bar. It is cash only but has an ATM. This establishment has all my love. The food menu is varied and has many vegetarian options and delicious“
“We discovered this bar by chance while walking around the Quarter- Lucky us! Kevin was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were enjoying local IPAs on tap when another customer raved about their sangria. Kevin had just made a new batch in front of me so I couldn't resist. It was awesome- and you'll see many other reviewers saying the same thing. The bar is clean and in a great spot about a block from Bourbon St.(just far enough to escape the sensory overload) with bar seating, tall tables, and a lower level with more seating. Stop in for a sangria (or whatever you enjoy) and say "hi" to Kevin!“
“The food and atmosphere is incompatible!!! I love my gumbo and the Bayou burger (the meat patty is flavorful!) The ice cream cake (Mile high pie) is a bit pricy but I really love having sweets while enjoying the music (My friend doesn't like the mint flavor in the strawberry ice cream but I like it) relaxing atmosphere, The best combination of tasty food, and jazz music!“
“We finally made it back to New Orleans on a day that Casa Borrega was open, so after unloading we walked over and had yet another delicious authentic Mexican meal! We love the atmosphere, food and the musician did a great job as well! We tend to stay with the Mexican street food but you really can’t go wrong with anything they make!“
“When we arrived at the Royal Sushi Bar, there wasn’t any hostess, but the bartender advised us that we could sit anywhere and a server would be with us shortly. On the outside you can’t really tell it’s a Japanese restaurant, however when you walk in the atmosphere was completely different. The Japanese art was very unique and lifted the atmosphere on the inside. You can tell their designer took their time to create this look!Once we were seated our server Mathew was very polite and even assisted us with picking items off the menu.During this time unfortunately one of our original items we picked wasn’t available, but he surprised us with a delicious Japanese tuna ceviche. We couldn’t finish all of the dishes we ordered so we took some to go.Overall all it was a delightful experience to dine there, it a must try when you go to New Orleans!Vegetarian options: There are a few in the menu.Dietary restrictions: The server asked if we had and to ensure he assisted.Parking: We were able to park on the street side of the building close to the restaurant.“
“I have been going to this play on Sunday for 2yr. When I tell you I have meet the most friendly and lovely people. They include me in their circle, party events and etc. They even knows I drive from Mississippi to hang out and goes back home afterwards. A lot of the workers have given me they number to call or text to let them know I made it home safe. Now this is what I call good people. Thx for allowing me in your establishment..“
“One of my fave music venues. It sits on the border of the quarter and frenchmen so it occupies a weird middle. Can feel a bit sketchy from there to Envie Espresso at night. Otherwise, always have great music, seating and standing + another bar and small courtyard in the back. Their cocktails are fun and all nola / music inspired. Great bands for a younger crowd in the evening. Not playing Jazz all the time. For example, I saw a soul cover of Forrest Gump by Frank Ocean one night.“
“The Ahi Tacos were the best of what we ordered. The crispy shrimp remoulade was very good, no real sauce to it but good. The crabmeat beignets were ok but very doughy, almost overwhelming. The atmosphere is very casual and the views are wonderful. Our drinks were very well balanced. Great stop for date night!!!“
“The charming corner bar adorned with floral accents and a whimsical treehouse motif in the ceilings exudes an enchanting ambiance. It was a pleasure attending the cocktail party hosted by the Bonjean Law Group in conjunction with the Innocence Network Annual Conference. The experience was truly exceptional, complemented by the delightful atmosphere.“
“First I’d like to say THANK YOU to Jacob the manager for making my friend feel so special for her bachelorette brunch. My friend and her bridesmaids/ maid of honor came to NOLA for her bachelorette weekend, so we’re out of towners from all over. The maid of honor booked a reservation a couple months in advance and when we arrived, this restaurant made our table look adorable. They specifically put flowers on the table and some confetti, and it made my friend, the bride, feel super special. Our waitress (unfortunately I cannot remember her name) was INCREDIBLE and fun. She gave us great recommendations and the food was peccable and spectacular. By far our favorite brunch spot we visited on our trip to NOLA.“
