“One of the best meals I've had in New Orleans (and I live here). Two of us had a couple of cocktails, as well as two appetizers and two mains. The service was terrific. The bread appetizer and the strawberry & beet salad appetizer as well as the duck confit main course were all excellent. The gumbo main course was salty -- even for gumbo -- and the sausage seemed overcooked and rather dry. The cocktails were made very well as well. The prices were actually pretty reasonable for the ambiance and the quality.“

“We do not recommend! I have never been treated so poorly as a local at a bar in New Orleans EVER! We have family with us from Indiana and wanted to experience an “Indiana” bar. The locals were terrible, the bartender was rude. They all took an active role in making it uncomfortable for all four of us by berating us for ordering a bloody Mary after 2pm. Would have been totally fine with just saying, "sorry, we arent offering/making those right now". Would have gladly ordered another Miller Lite (which we ordered one of and got a high life - didnt say a word, I like high life,too and figured she midheard me or did she??) Heard enough from her and the "in crowd" finally, threw her a $20 and told her we were sorry to cause trouble and left. Hope you buy yourself something pretty with the hefty, less than deserved tip. Anyone who visits this neighborhood….stay away!! Visit Markeys, Pepps or anywhere else! If you aren't one of their group, apparently you are not welcome.“

“the other day was my first time going as it was recommended by a good friend. it is, hands down ,my new favorite establishment in new orleans! the staff were very friendly and welcoming. they were quick to point me to menu favorites that i,a meat eater, and my friend, a vegetarian ,both loved! I had the hot sausage burger and gumbo and my friend had the island veggie burger.any bar that throws down for Bowies birthday is tops in my book. the vibe is very true art forward as well as the patrons. .Even though I was new to a lot of the crowd it seemed like they were happy I was there. i will be back!10/10 stars.“

“Cudas is doing pretty good. Been around since I was a kid. Good to know it's still around. Support locally to St. Bernard and come down here! I really like the video poker machines here. Also they actually sell my favorite alcohol for $6 Don Julio Tequila, and that's the cheapest around! It's $8 $9 most places so I really like that. I had a nice time last time in here. “Decided to try this establishment as we have passed it for a while. It may have said it was a Red Bird fried 🐔🍗 chicken but also was a daiquiris shop. Ordered our food, wife got a chicken sandwich 🥪 with fries 🍟 and I got a breast and wing with fries 🍟. After a short time our food was served. Wife got what she ordered and I got a drumstick 🍗 and a back, completely opposite of what I ordered. Upon going back to the register the manager asked what was wrong and I explained what was wrong and said immediately corrected the problem. Kudos to the manager. The young man that took out order was wearing dark sunglasses 😎 while he took out order and afterwards he took them off. Food was hot 🥵 and tasty.“

“Still the best chill out place Thu go in the parish corner of St Bernard highway and Paris road place has not changed a bit since the 80's thank god! I met my husband there in 1991 and we got married there in 1999 in the back in the hotel part and guess what here it is 2020 still married just wish the guy that made the oyster shooters would have left them hits recipe. I'll always end my night off going out there.“

“If you are ever on the West Bank in NOLA.....you have to try this place. It has been there forever and my dad used to go there when he was stationed in NOLA while serving in the Marine Corp. and that was back in the 70's. Try their bloody marys. They are my fav!“

We had celebrated my Nanny's,77th birthday here.
Honestly It was my 2nd time here & LOVED BOTH TIMES. Played pool , loved that huge ?? / The darts were very nice too. I Love the patio. Spent 3 hrs here. HAD A GOOD TIME. (FYI I suggest coming here for Halloween costume contest - That was my 1st time and FULL BAR / INSIDE & OUT) HAD A BLAST danced the night away) If I could change 1 thing I'd add more independent artist to the jukebox! I know they can I worked at a bar had the same company jukebox!

I'd recommend The backyard bar, to anyone of any age group 21-30 30 -40 & even 70 plus my Nanny, Aunts, Uncle's & My Grandpa,94yrs old didn't drink alcohol but he enjoyed kicking butt on that pool table.
Definitely check this place out ! It's a Winner to me!

Also indoors is spacious with large dance floor, stage, perfect lighting nice table's, OH the and dart boards are professional.Love the Dart board section. 2 pool tables, I remembered a foosball table for the October 2023 Halloween Costume Contest & Party ? sure. Didnt see one for the PartyAug10th2024 ?
Oh I do have 1 tiny thing to ask the owner "CAN YOU PLEASE GET A LADIES BATHROOM" I'm sure your aware it's a little small. If you need help with ideas, I'm ya girl. My husband's, a Ace plumber! My son's a perfectionist, he transforms- remodels homes & businesses indoors and outdoors!
I'm not saying anything bad about your bar, I'm just giving advice on the bathrooms!
