“Quickly became my go-to place for daiquiris! Great flavor variety…always tasty and perfectly strong without too harsh an alcohol flavor. The price is right, and I love the daily specials they offer. The gals bartending are always friendly and fast in the drive-thru, although I’ve personally never been inside. I will say, the drive-thru can be a bit stressful during busier times since there is not much room for a line so it can spill out onto the street. I take every out-of-town visitor here, and it’s definitely a top request when they visit again. I am moving out of River Ridge soon, but I will be making the quick drive from Metairie whenever I have a daiquiri hankering!“

“Went on April 14 for their Sunday Brunch because of reviews that describe "Bloody Mary" bar. Did read on their website that their Brunch has a "Bloody Mary" bar. We were disappointed that they actually DO NOT have one. Maybe our definition of "Bloody Mary" bar where patrons serve themselves and build their ideal Bloody Mary with provided mixes topped with provided garnishes is erroneous? But they do serve good individual Bloody Marys' with fixings. They also make a green Bloody Mary but tasted more like a green juice. We also ate here. Prices were a bit high but the food was very tasty! The Shrimp and Grits, Duck Hash and Crab Cake Benedict all had unique flavors. The Duck Hash was on the sweet side. Instead of serving rolls prior to your entree, Atchafalaya served mini cornbread muffins with their special butter which was delish! We asked for seconds :DReservations are good to have but they accommodated us without one. Just had to wait 30-45 minutes but they do have seating outside for that wait. Bring a hat for shade if a hot sun is shining! Hostess and wait staff were very cordial. With a full house, it can be a bit noisy and busy in their quaint establishment but atmosphere felt comfortable. The "live music" was an added nice touch!Don't know if we would go back again because of prices. There are many "Brunch" restaurants to choose from. Wish they still had our definition of a "Bloody Mary" bar. That would bring us back!“

However, the cocktails were delicious, the bartender (I can't remember her name but she had short red hair) was super sweet and helpful and recommended an absolutely delicious drink- Going Pear Shaped. It had gin, pear rosemary honey, lemon, and ginger beer. It was bright and refreshing! My husband also enjoyed his drink. We heard a pretty nice jazz trio while we were in there. “From the moment you step into Chemin à la Mer, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of refined elegance. The restaurant's stunning riverfront location provides breathtaking views of the Mississippi River, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. But the true star of Chemin à la Mer is its exquisite cuisine. The menu features a delightful array of French-inspired dishes, each prepared with meticulous attention to detail and bursting with flavor. My personal favorite was the quiche, which is undoubtedly the best I've ever tasted. The buttery crust, the velvety custard, and the perfectly cooked bacon harmonized in a symphony of textures and flavors that left me speechless. Our server, Mandy, was an absolute delight. Her warm smile, attentive service, and genuine enthusiasm for the restaurant's offerings made us feel welcomed and valued. She expertly guided us through the menu, providing insightful recommendations and ensuring that our every need was met with utmost care. The other breakfast items we sampled were equally impressive. The omelets were fluffy and flavorful, the pancakes were light and airy, and the fresh fruit was impeccably ripe and juicy. Each dish was a testament to the chef's culinary expertise and commitment to using only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. To top off our exceptional dining experience, our daughter received the utmost attention from Mandy. With her engaging personality and genuine love for children, Mandy made our daughter feel special and entertained throughout our meal. Her kindness and attentiveness were a true reflection of the restaurant's commitment to providing exceptional service to all its guests. Not Pete’s! Speaking of records they have a vintage jukebox with great broad selection. It’s old school, nobody paying extra to skip ahead of you, no one playing the same Drake song on repeat. Drinks are very affordable with a modest but well rounded selection. They have pop ups most days it seems so if your hungry there’s usually a food option. “Best "hole-in-wall" place to catch live music uptown (other than Tips). Grab a beer at the bar and watch music within a few feet of the artists at this Oak Street bar. This area is an easy decision with Jacquimo's nearby restaurant to round out an evening of excellence -- legit New Orleans food followed by authentic music, an up-town affair. Le Bon Temps Roule Bar • $
4801 Magazine St, New Orleans - 5.96 miles

“I go to Le Bon Temps often and they have some good music. They also have FREE oysters on Fridays but they go quick so you need to get there early! They have a kitchen that serves food and they have some good burgers here. The bar is divided into 2 main areas with the front being full of pool tables and the back where the bands play. This is usually a really fun bar to watch music until the point that it gets too crowded, which is way too often, but you always have the front area of the bar to escape to. The back area, where the bands play, can just get miserably crowded especially on Thursday nights when bands like the Soul Rebels play (it also is a bad "tradition" that the Soul Rebels NEVER start on time so it is like 12:30 or 1am before they start usually so if you have to work the next day that really is a challenge). There are also some people that take their pool games WAY too seriously in here and I've seen a few fights break out over a stupid game so don't get in those folks way. Parking can sometimes be a bit of a challenge but if you get far enough away you can always find a spot. They usually have pretty quick bar service and I usually prefer the front bar when there is music as it is quicker to get served than fighting the often formidable crowd in the back. There is always an interesting crowd here and there is a special plaque on the bar involving a historical person that I will let you discover yourself (maybe further down in this review even). There always seems to be something going on here when it seems nothing else is anywhere else in the area. Overall this is one of the best classic dive bars and music venues in the entire New Orleans area. FYI: This is yet another of the bars that claims the notoriety of having had Lee Harvey Oswald as a frequent customer. You can go to YouTube and search for NOLA Gent to see my video on Le Bon Temps Roule!“

“A bit of mixed feelings about it. Let’s start from the end. The bread pudding tasted good but not like a bread pudding. It tasted more like a ‘cake pudding’. The scallops, all 4 of them were very salty, thanks god that all else was potatoes to clean the palate :). We expected more considering the prices and ambience.“

“When we arrived at the Royal Sushi Bar, there wasn’t any hostess, but the bartender advised us that we could sit anywhere and a server would be with us shortly. On the outside you can’t really tell it’s a Japanese restaurant, however when you walk in the atmosphere was completely different. The Japanese art was very unique and lifted the atmosphere on the inside. You can tell their designer took their time to create this look!Once we were seated our server Mathew was very polite and even assisted us with picking items off the menu.During this time unfortunately one of our original items we picked wasn’t available, but he surprised us with a delicious Japanese tuna ceviche. We couldn’t finish all of the dishes we ordered so we took some to go.Overall all it was a delightful experience to dine there, it a must try when you go to New Orleans!Vegetarian options: There are a few in the menu.Dietary restrictions: The server asked if we had and to ensure he assisted.Parking: We were able to park on the street side of the building close to the restaurant.“

“Neyda, behind the bar, made me smile. She was just as sweet as juice and she also poured me some bourbon that I never thought I'd have a chance to have. The prices were half of what they'd charge anywhere else I've ever seen them. An absolute must for a bourbon lover. From Pappy to Eagle Rare to Elmer T. Lee. They've got it all.“

“The Ahi Tacos were the best of what we ordered. The crispy shrimp remoulade was very good, no real sauce to it but good. The crabmeat beignets were ok but very doughy, almost overwhelming. The atmosphere is very casual and the views are wonderful. Our drinks were very well balanced. Great stop for date night!!!“

“Love Snake's!! Juan (the bartender) is amazing and attentive. I always have a good time and enjoy my Paradise Parks best when they come from Snake's. Fantastic live music on Friday nights from 8-10.Dog friendly (make sure to say hi to Arlo and Peeves!), and they have a great patio for when it gets busy indoors. You have patient because there's usually only one bartender at a time, even when it's busy, and they're handling tons of orders per customer. Even still, the bartenders rock!I've never had an issue here and always feel extremely safe, even when I come alone. Absolutely a must-visit!“

“We were staying close by at a hotel with no bar so this place was our daily meeting spot. The bartender Courtney gave us a detailed list of places to go and things to do, next time we come back to Nola we’ll definitely come back. Thanks Courtney!“

High Grace NOLA Bar • $
733 St Peter, New Orleans - 8.34 miles

“A very nice escape from the Bourbon St madness. This place somehow manages to be a dive bar, and trendy at the same time. It's a friendly, intimate environment, with comfortable lounge furniture tucked away in a few corners, and a beautiful courtyard out back. I know a few other reviews mention the bathrooms, and they are certainly quirky; however, for me it was in more of a made you smile type way. They were extremely dark, only lighted by a pink neon sign. There is no mirror, so don't go in expected to tidy up your appearance. I have to assume these were conscious decisions made by whoever designed/decorated the place. What better way to say we don't care what you look like, and neither should you than to give customers no mirror or light to check their appearance in. There isn't much signage out front, so it'd be easy to miss when the doors are close. They just have a small hanging sign that says something along the lines of "last stop before the tourist traps" which I found to be both clever and true. I wouldn't say the drinks are cheap, but the quality is excellent and they are relatively affordable for what you'd be asked to pay at most any other bar near Bourbon. The bartender was extremely nice, and the drinks were finished quickly. I didn't get to spend nearly as much time here as I would have liked because we had a busy afternoon ahead, but High Grace will certainly top the lists of bars I stop off in next time I'm near the French Quarter.“

New Orleans Jazz Market Bars • $$
1436 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd, New Orleans - 7.43 miles

“This is a very nice venue for jazz to say the least. There's not a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are amazing! There's a fully stocked bar which is available before and during the show and it adds to the ambience. Of course, the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra (NOJO) led by Mr. Adonis Rose was astonishing. This was my first visit and I traveled from Baton Rouge to hear the all-star show. It was definitely a treat because I had never heard China Moses live and she's jazz royalty as the daughter of the great Dee Dee Bridgewater! It was quite a show and based on the musicianship and the surroundings, I look forward to hearing some great music there again.“

“Where to begin. Food. I would say the best filet in town! Sides were amazing and plenty to share. I am a French onion soup snob,(had it seven times in Paris), and it was divine! From the beginning, our party of five fell in love with Terrance and Thomas! And the gentleman with him, it was Double T double D! From napkin in the lap to folded if you left the table(it's the little things that are few and far between). They watched to see if refills were needed and were beyond attentive! The entree presentation was awesome! I cannot say enough good things! Fixing to enjoy a chocolate martini before leaving! It's a must if you are visiting Nola!“
