“The food is always great. I really like the music and atmosphere. This is our go-to restaurant when we want Mexican food. The staff is prompt and pleasant . We have been regulars at the Pontchartrain location since it opened. And I have never been disappointed.“
“The new owners have put a lot of money into The Blue Crab restaurant, new fuel pumps, excellent outdoor covered seating, bar and band stand. We've been several times. The only reason for 4 stars is the food was warm, not hot, took a while eventhough there was only 3 tables at the time. Also the French bread is a bit soft. Crunchy po boy bread makes the meal!“
“Drinks are strong and good. Bar service is quick and friendly. Popular place, always busy on going out nights. They have huge garage door type windows that open up to the street. Good for cool nights. Saturday nights, they have quality bands that play from 10:00-1:00. Only drawback....no food but still an awesome bar.“

After the service I was down in the dump and needed a drink. He noticed I was not in good spirits and treated me well beyond what was deserved. This man deserves a part ownership. “Went in for my spouse's bday just for a little fun while visiting parents and right when we walked in, both bartenders (I wish I could remember their names!) were super nice and sweet. Helped us get a table, came around frequently to see if we needed anything else, and made us feel welcomed and accepted. Definitely going to tell anyone I can to go here!“

“Cash only! Maps says they accept credit cards but when I went to pay my tab I was told cash only. There are two atm's across from the bar. Food was good. Had a BLT with Cajun fries. The Cajun fries were delicious. BLT was on point taste wise but I ordered extra bacon and the amount on my sandwich seemed average. Service was good overall. Not sure my receipt was right though. There were 4 items on the receipt when I only had 3 (entree with no plus ups and two cokes). Atmosphere is great. Very nautical bar with large patio on the water. Smoking is only allowed outside.“

“Took my love out to eat on our day off. We always get the crawfish pepper jack bisque for an appetizer ,she got the hamburger steak cooked medium well, and I got the jazzy barbecue chicken club dressed and added sautéed onions and mushrooms to it as well. The food was spectacular as was the service. Had a train go by at about 70 mph while we were there heading south, the noise was exhilarating and the whole place shook! LOVED IT! We will certainly be back and we'll bring friends.“
“Local bar that has been here over 20 years. Everyone passes through at some point. The bartenders are top notch, service is great even when it is busy. The DJs are some of the best in the south. Security is good there is rarely any trouble and if there is it is handled quickly. The bathrooms are clean for a bar “

I had an old fashion which was great the only down side was not using real maraschino cherries. The atmosphere is great beautifully designed with a grand alcohol collection.
