“Seriously-my state doesn't allow me to drive thru a daiquiri shack & take it with me! As long as you do not place the straw in the said daiquiri, you are legal. For $6 (and a small tip for our awesome server) we had a delicious peach daiquiri in a styrofoam cup! The gal at Daiquiri Shack gave us lots of samples of the different daiquiris that they have-thank you!“
“Great place, great staff, owner is friendly and is often on site. Seafood boils year-round at affordable prices. 4 pool tables, no smoking in the side room, long open bar area, and several dart boards available. Oh, yeah and a large selection of daiquiris...Parking: Huge parking area with drive throughWheelchair accessibility: Long sloped entry way from a large parking area.“
“This is a pretty cool layed back gem. Anna my server was chill talkative and a true delight to be around. I had an old fashion which was great the only down side was not using real maraschino cherries. The atmosphere is great beautifully designed with a grand alcohol collection. And three little food that I had was good as well.“
“The food is always great. I really like the music and atmosphere. This is our go-to restaurant when we want Mexican food. The staff is prompt and pleasant . We have been regulars at the Pontchartrain location since it opened. And I have never been disappointed.“
“Turtle Landing has all the comforts of Southern charm. The servers are friendly, the patrons are welcoming, the food smelled wonderful although we were there for drinks only. You can walk out to the deck and enjoy the Bayou and check out their live entertainment times. You can also use their boat dock if coming in on a canoe, kayak, or other boat. They have a rather busy pool table, so you may have to wait awhile for your turn, no worries, as there are plenty of new friends to be made and to talk to. We had a very enjoyable time! Excellent Fun atmosphere in an extremely nostalgic quaint setting.“
“Drinks are strong and good. Bar service is quick and friendly. Popular place, always busy on going out nights. They have huge garage door type windows that open up to the street. Good for cool nights. Saturday nights, they have quality bands that play from 10:00-1:00. Only drawback....no food but still an awesome bar.“
“I would like to give a big thanks and appreciation to Mr. Shayne. I came to Louisiana from Florida to bury my baby brother during memorial holiday. After the service I was down in the dump and needed a drink. He noticed I was not in good spirits and treated me well beyond what was deserved. This man deserves a part ownership. My loyalty is with kapps daiquiri and I have sent so many people their that now because of him I will tell my fb Louisiana group about coming here during the weekends. His service was excellent with every customer that walked in and very professional. Thank you Shayne for your hard work and dedication to Louisiana.“
“This place is quite nice. The bartender, Andre, was quite hospitable and knew about the company he worked for. Apparently it's a franchise that has been around since 1983. The drink was great that I had. There are 15 different flavors so there are a lot of opportunities to mix and match your own. You want decadent? Sweet and Sour? Tangy? Fruity? It's all here.“
“Went in for my spouse's bday just for a little fun while visiting parents and right when we walked in, both bartenders (I wish I could remember their names!) were super nice and sweet. Helped us get a table, came around frequently to see if we needed anything else, and made us feel welcomed and accepted. Definitely going to tell anyone I can to go here!“
“Don't think they have food, but there are plenty of places to pick something up around the bar. Laid back place to play pinball or old school video games and have a few drinks. No trip to Old Town is complete without spending a few quarters here.“
“If you want a STRONG daiquiri,, and friendly staff,,then you are in the right place. I've been here 6 or 7 times,, and I've never been disappointed!! I just wish it was closer to me!! But I don't mind driving across town for an awesome daiquiri! A true hidden gem in Slidell. Thanks guys!!!“
“VFW Post 3804 is the best hangout in town! I have heard stories about the "old days", but it has calmed down a lot since then. There is no liquor, but the beer is ice cold. There are plenty of things to do, like shoot pool and attend the no cover charge band nights. Post 3804 hosts benefits for those in need and serves free food at least once or twice a week. The ages of the patrons vary from young to old, which helps keep things leveled and calm. It is a wonderful environment that anyone can come enjoy, whether you are a club member or not! Civilians are ALWAYS welcome at VFW Post 3804!“
“Lil bar with a couple of billiards tables, very busy during marti gras parades, is on Front Street. Owner and employees are very friendly!Dietary restrictions: Restaurant is next door and will deliver food to you ?Parking: Parking in the back of building. Handicap entrance is best in font. Must be 21 to enter.“
“Took my love out to eat on our day off. We always get the crawfish pepper jack bisque for an appetizer ,she got the hamburger steak cooked medium well, and I got the jazzy barbecue chicken club dressed and added sautéed onions and mushrooms to it as well. The food was spectacular as was the service. Had a train go by at about 70 mph while we were there heading south, the noise was exhilarating and the whole place shook! LOVED IT! We will certainly be back and we'll bring friends.“
“Local bar that has been here over 20 years. Everyone passes through at some point. The bartenders are top notch, service is great even when it is busy. The DJs are some of the best in the south. Security is good there is rarely any trouble and if there is it is handled quickly. The bathrooms are clean for a bar “

“Vegetarian options: You can have your food as vegetarian.Parking: If it's during the day before people get off work, cracking is fine. Anything after 4 or 5 PM it gets difficult and you may have to walk a little distance from the restaurantKid-friendliness: There is a dining section inside and outside. It's fine for children.Wheelchair accessibility: There are 2 entrances and both have roughly 3 steps to get into the building.“

“I have never had any issues with this Location and have always left pleasantly happy. Im writing this review today because our server was absolutely one of the BEST!! Ceji was her name I believe, and she was readily available whenever we needed something, but also made us feel overly welcome. We enjoyed the conversation and her friendly smile! We will definitely be back! Thanks Again Ceji ?“
