During a recent visit to NOLA, a friend and I took a break from shopping at Basin. When in NOLA she eats oysters whenever she can and she was in heaven. The oysters are very fresh and shucked in an are next to the dining room. I am not an oyster eater so I tried the fried green tomatoes. Wow! They were awesome, better than my grandfather used to make. The breading was flavorful and had a little NOLA kick. We will definitely visit on our next trip.
Love the vibe. Starting with the mattress coils at the entrance.The staff are super attentive and know how to take care of the clientsThe food is an amazing rethinking and fusion of Cajun and Creole standards.

We had a dozen grilled oysters that were incredible, the coconut crusted red snapper and the beef short ribs with grits. Everything was amazing. Our waitress, Nicole, was amazing and couldn’t have been nicer. Everything was served quickly. We never waited for a drink. We’re from Oklahoma, but if we lived here, we would be here all the time
