“GW Fins is without a doubt, one of the best seafood restaurants I've been too in a long time. This place has been recommend by nearly every restaurant guide in New Orleans and it really doesn't disappoint. The lobster bisque was delicious. The halibut was is their signature dish and really goes well with the risotto. I also got the creme brulee, which both people beside me got as well after seeing me get out. As for cocktails, you can't go wrong with the Cajun old fashioned and the French 75. It's highly recommend that you set reservations, as it was one of the busiest restaurants in New Orleans.“

My vegetarian friends decided to mix and match some sides and were also very happy with their meal. Our server was helpful and clearly explained what we could order with our dietary restrictions. Everyone loved their food, great atmosphere and top-notch service.Vegetarian options: No entrees were vegetarian (at the time) but several sides were. My vegetarian friends had a couple sides each and were very pleased and full.Dietary restrictions: There's an off-menu vegan option available on request which was super delicious!“

First walking in and the server asked if we’ve ever been before and when we said no she got so excited and said she was excited for us and in for a real treat! The place is historic and the food amazing. The gumbo was stellar and the po boy sandwiches were amazing. Such a great experience. Food was delicious. “Located in the heart of Lakeview, Russell’s Marina Diner stands as a cherished beacon of New Orleans’ rich culinary tradition.Since its inception in 1985, this diner has carved out a niche for itself as the go-to destination for exceptional breakfasts, weaving itself into the fabric of the city’s dining scene. With a menu that spans the gamut from indulgent fried chicken and waffles to a diverse array of egg specialties, Russell’s caters to a broad spectrum of tastes. Not forgetting the health-conscious, the diner also offers lighter fare such as eggwhite omelets and sweet potato pancakes, ensuring that every patron leaves satisfied. The dining experience is further enhanced by the option to enjoy your meal either inside the diner’s cozy interior, at the counter where the local vibe thrives, in their inviting dining room, or outside on the pet-friendly patio, making it perfect for every occasion.During my visit, I decided to try the legendary Egg Saints #33—a daring concoction that perfectly embodies New Orleans’ flair for culinary innovation. This dish features a grilled biscuit topped with alligator sausage, grilled tomatoes, poached eggs, and smothered in homemade country gravy. Each component of the dish harmonizes to create a breakfast experience that is both unique and profoundly satisfying. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with the diner’s unmistakable local charm, enhanced by the friendly service that made me feel right at home. The ambiance, a blend of the cozy and the communal, set the perfect stage for what was to be an unforgettable meal. The Premier League playing softly in the background added a touch of camaraderie, reminiscent of a neighborhood café where everyone is welcome. The highlight of my visit was, without a doubt, the food. The Egg Saints #33 was a revelation, transforming the classic eggs Benedict into a dish that captivated my palate and left me pondering the culinary prowess behind it.Every bite was a testament to Russell’s commitment to quality and innovation, making it clear why this diner holds a special place in the hearts of New Orleans’ residents and visitors alike. In a city lauded for its vibrant food scene, claiming the title of "best breakfast" is no small feat.Yet, as I left Russell’s Marina Diner, I was already yearning to return and dive deeper into their menu. This hidden gem is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking to experience the soul of New Orleans through its food, served with a side of unmatched hospitality.“

Cajun Eggrolls

“Oh my, the four of us visiting from Northern California, took a suggestion from a local and had dinner here. Highly recommend eating here. Delicious!!! Also the absolute best Brussels sprouts ever. I say this because both of our husbands have always hated Brussels sprouts but they loved them. Seafood was wonderful. Service was wonderful, all workers were friendly.Dietary restrictions: Simply ask for gluten free and they make your plate gluten free!“

“Had the Crescent Sampler, of which the I enjoyed the jambalaya most. Our food came less than 10 minutes after we ordered. Since we were hungry, we chose to be grateful instead of suspicious. Found it reasonably priced for the area but nothing was a standout. And the bread pudding is very cinnamon-y - just to note, since the menu description doesn't mention cinnamon at all.“

“We made a 5:30pm reservation for our Wednesday night dinner. We didn't want to risk not being able to eat here as our last meal in the city. I wish I was more hungry at the time, so I could've had more than a salad. Lol But, boy, was that salad delicious! It was seasonal and had pears, pecans, and a sherry vinaigrette. My drink was off of the Happy Hour menu(5-7pm, $6 martini) and was perfect. My husband was over the moon happy with their Chicken Parmesan. The portion was generous, and the flavors were spot on! We couldn't have been happier, so a big thank you to the whole staff. ???“

“This is my second time coming to NOLA and I came back to this spot because of John. I was last here 3 years ago and he gave me one of the best services ever. He topped that today. He was so accommodating and friendly, teaching us so much about to culture of New Orleans and giving us some praline ice cream he made for us just because. The food is also so lovely. Amazing, filling, and tasty!! All the other staff there is also so friendly, checking in on us and also giving us sauces to try with our poboys and just getting to know us all together. The atmosphere is great too, with hand picked New Orleans style decor John and the others have accumulated over the years. This is a spot I will always come to when I visit NOLA. Thank you John for leaving the most amazing impression :).“

“Great food & great people at this place. I just don't like when you order crawfish they will add more of what you order so you can pay more for the crawfish. I understand they may go over a little but not a half plus pounds over. Most people who order crawfish are not paying attention to this“

“My husband and I are Thai food lovers so we like to try new Thai restaurants in every part of the city — we went to go see the Monet exhibit and decided to stop by Good Catch Thai Urban Bistro. The food is top notch! We really enjoyed our meal including my jumbo lump crab curry entree and my husband’s Tom Yum Noodle soup entree. We also ordered several appetizers and all were very good with fresh ingredients. Will definitely be back!“
