“Bob Boudreau and I were in NOLA for 9 nights. Three of the nights we had reservations at other places with family. Our 1st night we looked up and found Jewel of the South. We loved it so much. we asked our nephew, his medical school advisor and his wife to join us. All three lived in NOLA and had never been here. All 5 of us would definitely go back in a heart beat. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great drinks. Great staff. GREAT ALL AROUND! FIVE STARS for Jewel of the South.“

Our server Louis was incredibly charming and attentive, giving us excellent menu choices —as it was a hard decision. Every dish was a work of art—both in presentation and flavor. “We had the most amazing time at Cane & Table. Our group was there to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. The service was amazing and we made fast friends with Kate (our server) and Sam. The bar was equally wonderful; the Autumn Oracle was especially noteworthy. Service was so loving and friendly; I lingered far longer than necessary just to savor and converse. If the persimmon ice cream is available, GET IT. “We came here for a cocktail after dinner elsewhere on a weeknight… They were moderately busy and the band was setting up, but while we were there they didn’t play. The cocktail list is decent and they make all cocktails fresh. Drinks were decent, so was the vibe. Definitely a nice, quaint spot to grab a cocktail.“

“My brother loves what I call "Bougie" restaurants so when he made a reservation for six of us this past Saturday (French Quarter Festival weekend), I was sure the cuisine would be a hard no for me as I usually stick to the basics. However, I am so glad I was wrong! Walking up to restaurant does not prepare you for the cool nautical vibe you experience upon entry. It's not what I call "themey" but rather low key with subtle hints directed at the name and menu. The food was inventive, visually appealing and bursting with intentional flavors. We ordered various appetizers including the Charbroiled Mussels, Taramasalata, Ishmael Fries, Miso Blue Crab Salad, Eggplant Doughnuts as well as Bread Service (do not pass it up). Our entrees included Swordfish Schnitzel, Lobster Roll and several Squid Ink Pastas. We were stuffed but we weren't about to pass up the lemon cheesecake dessert. To say that the lemons looked too real to eat is an understatement, but we overcame and devoured all six. The whole experience was "Chef's Kiss" for all six of our party. We will be back as some of us live in NOLA and some visit often. Just an FYI, we were unaware that seating in the bar area meant literally sitting at the bar so make sure you request a table when making reservations.“

“Absolutely delicious! We started with the crab salad which was very refreshing! Followed by one of each oyster they had to offer that day. Then we had an additional dozen of our favorites! We had the seared scallops and it was good enough to lick the plate! Finished with a slice of key lime pie. The daiquiri was tasty as well! The staff was attentive to our needs so much so that they walked to get sprite for my husband’s favorite drink! It was a lovely way to spend our 10 year anniversary tucked away in the bar by the oyster shucker. 10/10“

“Definitely make a reservation. We showed up at 5pm and were lucky to be seated due to a cancellation. This place is very small but it makes for a good atmosphere. The night time lemon sour and the high ball were both very good. They also have genmaicha, if you just want to stop for tea.“

We have a group of five. Staying locally. We found this little tiny bar and wanted to check out a super local place that wasn’t in the French quarter.
We walked in 5 women. And were welcomed whole heartedly. This is a super small place. The locals were super friendly the proprietor was amazing. She pure an amazing drink and was super welcoming. And we just happened in on a day she was seri amazing home cooking!!
Let me tell you this was absolutely hands down the best food I have had in New Orleans! Don’t hesitate! Stop in day hello and enjoy the very local hospitality. We love cozy and we will be return if we are in the area !“

“Pretty standard nightclub place. Security was pretty quick during their search to let us in. The inside was smaller than I'd like it to be, but the screen panels were pretty cool to see. Tho, it was cramped when we got in. The vibe was chill since the DJ played more of the hip hop classics. Their lemon drops tasted good. There's plenty of street parking around the area. I usually don't go out clubbing, but I still had fun here. I just wished the venue was had more space.“

I’ve been wanting to visit and tonight was the night it finally happened.

Upon walking in, I noticed this spot is an actual lounge. There are board games, tv’s , a pool table— I love that vibe. Stopping in on a Friday I knew jt would be slow as Fridays in the city can be slow at hotel bars, everyone who is in town is most likely on Bourbon or other parts the city and not the bar at their hotel. I can’t remember the bar tenders name but he was kind and friendly. Although the drink I wanted to order couldn’t be made due to out of stock ingredients, I enjoyed two glasses of champagne.

Service, great!
Food, I can’t judge because the kitchen was closed.
Location, perfect.. CBD, two blocks away from Bourbon.

I can’t wait to go back next week to try the drink I have my eyes on.“
