“I was so surprised when I walked in here. The vibes are so good, the DJ is super hot the bartenders and everyone else who worked here are so nice! The little details, like the bar ware, in the establishment are noticed and appreciated. I legit forgot I was on the westbank. 10/10 would recommend and come back!“

“Went for the first time today, definitely won't be the last. Yes, it's a hole-in-the-wall dive bar. Yes, they smoke in here and there are cigarettes in the vending machine. It might be cash only too (my friend treated me to lunch today). If any of that bothers you- GO SOME PLACE ELSE because the boiled everything on Thursdays is WORTH IT. Turkey necks, neck bones, pig feet, smoked sausage, corn & potatoes was what they had today- all served in a styrofoam go-box in case you can't finish. Slap-ya-momma good food here. Can't really find a menu posted anywhere- it's a word-of-mouth place. I went for lunch but it gets crowded at night.

We loved it so much. we asked our nephew, his medical school advisor and his wife to join us. All three lived in NOLA and had never been here. All 5 of us would definitely go back in a heart beat. “My brother loves what I call "Bougie" restaurants so when he made a reservation for six of us this past Saturday (French Quarter Festival weekend), I was sure the cuisine would be a hard no for me as I usually stick to the basics. However, I am so glad I was wrong! Walking up to restaurant does not prepare you for the cool nautical vibe you experience upon entry. It's not what I call "themey" but rather low key with subtle hints directed at the name and menu. The food was inventive, visually appealing and bursting with intentional flavors. We ordered various appetizers including the Charbroiled Mussels, Taramasalata, Ishmael Fries, Miso Blue Crab Salad, Eggplant Doughnuts as well as Bread Service (do not pass it up). Our entrees included Swordfish Schnitzel, Lobster Roll and several Squid Ink Pastas. We were stuffed but we weren't about to pass up the lemon cheesecake dessert. To say that the lemons looked too real to eat is an understatement, but we overcame and devoured all six. The whole experience was "Chef's Kiss" for all six of our party. We will be back as some of us live in NOLA and some visit often. Just an FYI, we were unaware that seating in the bar area meant literally sitting at the bar so make sure you request a table when making reservations.“

“Absolutely delicious! We started with the crab salad which was very refreshing! Followed by one of each oyster they had to offer that day. Then we had an additional dozen of our favorites! We had the seared scallops and it was good enough to lick the plate! Finished with a slice of key lime pie. The daiquiri was tasty as well! The staff was attentive to our needs so much so that they walked to get sprite for my husband’s favorite drink! It was a lovely way to spend our 10 year anniversary tucked away in the bar by the oyster shucker. 10/10“
