Came here after finding so many good reviews about it and it even came across my Tik Tok page. It absolutely lives up to the hype. The atmosphere is very nostalgic, the crew is very helpful and polite, and the food was amazing. My family tried the collard greens sandwich, the fried bologna sandwich and the mama tried burger. One of the best meals I had in New Orleans! My wife and I split a fried bologna sandwich and a collard green melt, both incredible! Staff was friendly and service was fast and accurate. They also have a “pay-it-forward” option on the menu where they make a meal for someone in need. It was nice to see they cared about the community they serve.
Whether you're searching for best lunch in NOLA using Yelp, Eaters, or a follower of James Beard nominees, then you may have heard of Turkey and the Wolf. Otherwise, please allow me to explain why this place is worth the 40 min walk from Canal street.
